Yamaha DX5 Programmable Algorithm Synthesizer

"Incredibly rare, this Yamaha DX 5 is the same essentially as the coveted DX1 synth as used by Tears for Fears and Dire Straits and go for $25,000+. It has two synthesizer voices built in that can be stacked or split and blended for more complex sounds than the DX7 was able to create. It shows some cosmetic wear on the sides and front from years of use but functionally it works great. It even comes with two of the original sound cartridges used to load more patches on to the DX synthesizers."

Jugg Box DPM-48 1983 Manual

"Brand New copy of the operating manual for the Jugg Box DPM-48 (also branded as Hammond DPM-48 and Sakata DPM-48). English language version, along with German language supplement. 86 pages, 6 inches by 9 inches in dimension, printed in black and white.
This book is also available from most Amazon online sites [https://amzn.to/3HsiZSw]
The DPM-48 programmable digital drum machine was first released in late-1983, and was available for sale in many countries under the brand names Nihon-Hammond, Sakata, Jugg Box, and Multivox.
Like several other drum machines that were available on the market at that time, the DPM-48 used digitally sampled sounds stored onto EPROMs. DPM stood for 'Digital Percussion Machine', and the '48' related to the 48 patterns that could be stored on the unit. Unusually, the DPM-48 used a special type of RAM cartridge for the storage of the patterns.
In mid-1984 an 'Electronic Drums' sound set of alternative EPROM chips featured on the DPM-48E model. The Electronic Set, along with Rock and Latin Percussion alternative sound sets became available for use with the DPM-48, along with a trigger interface that enabled electronic drum pads to use the Trigger Input located at the rear of the DPM-48 chassis. A MIDI-retrofit was also later made available, with the DPM-48 unit being discontinued in 1987 or so.
This Owner's Manual is an English-language limited edition publication, including a section on the MIDI capability for the DPM-48, info on the rare alternative sound sets, and a separate section at the rear with the original German language operating instructions for the DPM-48. (86 pages in total)."

"@MoogSynthesizers Moog Subharmonicon, @KORG_INC volca fm2, and DIY noise box
A lo-fi piece built from nostalgic synth tones and layered soundscapes.
The noise box is routed into the @ChaseBlissAudio MOOD MK II to generate glitchy textures.
Subharmonicon is patched to produce city-like noise and sent through @HologramElectronics MICROCOSM for reverb.
volca fm2 is driven via MIDI from Ableton; its output runs into @strymon NIGHTSKY for reverb and filtering."

Skirting the Narrows
video upload by davidryle
"Instruo Harmonaig and MI Marbles with Acid Rain Technology Ripsaw and Doepfer A-111-4 and A-105-4. These quad vcos and filter setups were used along with some 5U large format modules from Synthetic Sound Labs, synthesizers.com, Grove Audio, Oakley Sound Systems and Moon Modular to present various sound sketches of the Harmonaig's chord outputs.
The percussive opening part trigger pattern was taken from the 4MS Quad Clock Distributor, RCD, and a switch module. The Modcan dual delay was time shifted using a triple switch module in the 5U.
Additional transpose sequences were mixed from the dotcom Q960 and Marbles to the Harmonaig.
All sounds were recorded in real-time to Cubase and video edited in Final Cut Pro."

Shibasaki MOD - Tokyo set song #7
video upload by Arman Bohn
"Song #7 from my set at Shibasaki MOD in Tokyo, April, 2025.
The MT32-pi starts it off by playing some noise samples I collected with my SOMA Ether. Those samples are being sequenced and panned (via CC LFO) by the Phantasmal Force - which is sending clock to everything.
Next, I bring in a percussive pattern in 7/8 on GREAT CONJUNCTION. I randomize some of the instruments throught creating some nice robotic textures.
After I get going, I use the Phantasmal Force to unmute different instruments (drums/synths/bass) on the Dirtywave M8.
The Prismatic Spray MKii is is layered in with some hi-hat sounding bytebeat noise, retriggered in tempo by the Phantasmal Force."
