via this auctionUpdate: some info via Philip on the AH list: "Beautiful sounding machine...one of the best stereo ensemble sections built into any Roland...with three modes.. Stereo flange, stereo chorus ensemble(solina like) and a Dimension D like subtle chorus mode. Strings sounds are way better than the VP-330 and are more flexible..Synth section is perfunctory and divide down but still tonally very nice..oh and the Bass section sounds as big and full as a Taurus..."

RARE DOEPFER STRINGPHASER MODULE
via this auction"This module predates the Doepfer companies and was a magazine project for Formant Modular format.
It is one of Deiter's earliest works (for you fans).
It is a 3 phase LFO driving 3 seperate voltage controlled phaser cards, which can be switched series or parallel.
I have powered the module up (+/- 15V) and it works and sounds pretty cool. The LFO rate seems to be running at audio freq, so some tweeking or calibration is necessary. The LFO has 2 Osc. that can be mixed/ modulated. With the phasers in series, a synth generated percussion patch realy animated. I replaced a few knobs, because the skirts on the 'originals' were binding.
The wiring is a rats nest and the pots are dirty, but it should be easy to sort out.This module is unique and you can be the only kid on youd block to have this in your modular!

First to introduce digital vector synthesis - cool joystick mixing of four oscillators per voice. 8 voice polyphonic in single mode or 4 voices in split and double modes. Monophonic in unison mode. Excellent MIDI implementation including external MIDI clock sync for the arpeggiator.
This unit was fully calibrated by Wine Country Productions (official Sequential Circuits service company) in June 1996 and a Certificate of Restoration is included."
KORG M50 in Custom Case Minus Keys
via this auction"This item came to us with an unusable,busted up keybed & chassis ...
apparently something very heavy fell on the keyboard section and completely destroyed the keybed rendering it useless & unrepairable, the actual synth was completely untouched and looks like new!
so to avoid discarding a great sounding synth, we at Purplelover's saved the synth section of this M50 by removing the busted up parts, revamped its package and housed it in a very cool free standing pine box.
and as you can see, the "fix" didn't come out half bad!
the synth is now living its life as a "sort of a "tabletop module, with all the features and function the M50 has to offer (except the keyboard of course) & it sounds awesomejust midi into your favorite keyboard,synth or controller
everything works perfectly and as it should !
upgraded to latest version OS 1.10 and includes 512MB SD card..."

"This is a short demo with scope image of some VOSIM synthesis, that I did on my g2 modular. I don't think this is the technically accurate version of VOSIM, as I just have continuous "bursts" of pulses going, where in traditional VOSIM there is a delay between bursts. There is also some clicks due to the sync function on the g2 having some sort of jitter I couldn't fully eliminate. Anyhow, I have a full explanation of this VOSIM synthesis on my blog, visit it at:
