"Let's Make Some Noise: A DIY Workshop will showcase noise/experimental sound artists and their practice. This will be a chance for you to be able to listen/observe, ask questions, and even try out noise gear to make your own noise towards the end of the workshop! Attendees will be able to take home parts for a contact mic of their very own! (while supplies last)"

I got this old Boss mixer with banana jacks for $5. Still figuring out gain staging, lol. Interesting flaws, but I think it works well for this kind of thing."

I occasionally kick in distortion via EHX Overlord. A small amount of post processing and Fostex 3180 on the reverb send."

"Another piece centered around shift registers. This time used as sound sources and as part of the visuals. All of the noisy percussion sounds come from the Dual Digital Shift Register (kinda Rungler-like patch) and Cascading Shift Register (used as and LFSR)."

3am - ARP 2600 FS and Audity One

"In this video I'm playing my ARP 2600 through an Audity One recording amp from Curious Audio. https://curiousaudio.us

The 2600's balanced output is connected to the Audity One's transformer balanced line input. The mics I'm using are a 414 and an SE VR-1 ribbon mic through a pair of 1073 preamp clones. This amp is ideal for re-amping synths or anything really because of it's broad frequency spectrum and surprisingly low noise floor. This patch is using relatively little of the Audity One's available gain, just to illustrate the character of the amp. I hope to do some more extreme sounds when I can really let it rip!"

At the center of this patch is the Cascade Register from Omiindustriies, providing the main clock as well as distributing CV and triggering events.
Sounds from Synth Fox Modular's Degenrator, Pulsar-23, Infernal Noise Machine, etc.

I kinda dig this blurry arms vibe."
