via this auction

"This is a vintage Korg 770 analog synthesizer that has been re-housed in a 3U rack enclousure. It powers on, and while VCO1 and the VCF section maintain basic functionality, no other section of the synth is working properly, and the CV inputs do not function at all either."

"Here is a 1970's Korg 770 monophonic synthesizer -beautiful piece of synth history! This thing makes some super weird sounds and is great for creating lo-fi soundscapes, mood pads, and other sound fx. Apparently you can also run external sounds through it though I have never experimented with this. It is fully functional despite some cosmetic wear and tear (see pics) and one missing 3 way Sustain switch. The switch can still be toggled using your fingernail or carefully with a flathead screwdriver. Switch part# is CST023NK if you wish to track down a replacement. The right side panel

Korg 800DV (Maxi-Korg Maxikorg) w/ Kenton 8-socket Kit, New Wood & Black Knobs & Sliders

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this auction

These usually have colored sliders and knobs. It looks pretty cool in all black.

"fully serviced Korg 800DV with custom Kenton 8-socket kit (provides cv/gate for upper and lower voice as well as CV control of both low pass and high pass filters). New wood case!

What's unique about this 800DV is that it has hardware from what seems to match the Korg 770. I don't know of any other 800DV out there quite like this one.

There is some wear on the face, but not severe.

Takes a few minutes for tuning to stabilize while synth warms up, but after that it's good to go.

Here's a rare opportunity for a serviced 800DV with extremely useful socket modification.

Check out this youtube to get an idea of what these can sound like with the Kenton modification!

Summary of work performed ($750 spent between service and kenton kit - see picture for details):

Fixed broken keys
Fixed dead filter
Recapped power supply
Disassembled and cleaned all pots and switches
Disassembled and scrubbed keybed and knobs/sliders
Designed and Manufactured new wooden endcaps
Replaced all mismatched screws
Tuned up and calibrated
Installed Kenton kit
Cleaned and touched up exterior

Located at and ships from tech in Vancouver, Washington."

via this auction, also on Reverb

"Korg / Univox MiniKorg 700 Analog Synth. Full working condition. It was just internally calibrated by an analog tech. Filters, LFO, Scale Range all calibrated and it plays / sounds amazing. This has the most wicked leads and basses. SO many bands used this synth on session and gigs. I've owned or still own just about every analog synth made... this korg sounds like no other, and no other does what it does.. the closest ive found was with a Korg 770.. which is double this price and crazy hard to find."

KORG PS3300

Title link takes you to shots via this auction.

Details:
"KORG PS-3300 POLYPHONIC MODULAR SYNTH 1977Well-known for its complex pads, thanks to its triple synth architecture, with independently panning possible for each, a fair number of LFOs (6+SH ) that brings sophisticated details, all making truly stunning masses of evolving sounds.

Another (not so well-known) strength of that beast is its ability to make strange sounds, a bit like a kind of polyphonic AKS: per example extreme stretching of the general frequency with the keyboard XY joystick, as few other polysynth of the following eras would, numerous options of patching modulations, along with the double expression pedal applied to modulation destinations… Independent envelopes for each bloc for additive-like synthesis, a step further from the typical 2 VCO/ VCF/ADSR approach most other synths provide. Altogether I was astonished by the wide range of sounds it can produce, much more than a PS-3200 would dare of!

Also surprisingly, it is very straightforward to use, with a logical layout, despite a good number of knobs.

- Waveforms choices: 6 for the VCOs (w/ PWM), 6 others for the main 3 LFOs. These LFO can be modulated also with a lot of patching options.

- Unique triple dynamic resonators per block, each modulated either from their own LFO, either left in a fixed combination of 3 frequencies. Peak frequency control on that LFO. Nice multi-phasing effects and sound shaping.

- Useful keyboard balance for filter and volume, independently for the 3 blocks. Adds playability when pressing a lot of notes.

- unique individual tuning per note, independently for each block.

The documentation (copy,in English/Japan) helps with examples of sounds and patches.

Users: Kraftwerk, K Schulze (“X”,his best), Vangelis (“China”..), ELP, Jarre, Space, Gino Vannelli, Ninja Tune, Vince Clarke, and praised by Bob Moog.

It has been totally overhauled by Jean-Loup Dierstein in Paris and now fully working: 50 capacitors changed , every function tested, tuned, not one scratching pot. So what is inevitably needed for a gun of this age and complexity has already been done professionally.

The keyboard is also in a close-to-mint condition, and the accessories (double pedal board and keyboard cable) are fully functional. A midification of the keyboard is possible.

This example seems to be a first and very rare version, with the inclusion of Korg 770 type pots (more “chic” than the MS series style of most of the PS production ), it has also a different positioning of the resonators disposition, and wears a nice slightly shiny black finish. As this version existed in some historical Korg catalogs, I guess it may be not a “prototype” as it was said recently, but certainly was part of a first limited batch among the 30/50 ever produced. Serial number: 770502.

It had been formerly bought at the “Phonorgan” Shop in Paris in the late 70’."

KORG 770 Univox Analog Synthesizer

via this auction
"There are lots of unique and useful features to be found, like a "chorus" waveform setting for OSC 1, "pitched noise" on OSC 2, two LFOs--one of which only applies to the pitch of OSC 1, and the other only effects the filter and speed of the chorus waveform. Intrigued? Well how about autobend on OSC 1, with extensive control (speed, delay, bend up/down), or two ring modulator settings on OSC 2? The filter is magical, with Korg's first version of the resonant highpass/lowpass combination. Another amazing feature is the ability to run external audio through the filter and/or the ring modulator, which is one of the best 70's ring mod sounds ever. Truly a stunning synthesizer, the 770 rivals its more famous Korg siblings in sound, design, and features."

New Behringer K-20 - Korg MS-20 Desktop Clone Spotted & WASP Deluxe Trademark & Potential Specs

These are in via Soviet Space Child.

Some info on the K-20 below. Curious how a previously existing name for a synth can be trademarked. The trademark was actually revealed December 2017, but you can see filing from Music Group IP (Behringer's parent company) below published in 2018. You can also find the initial list of synths on Behringer's radar here, including trademarks. The Pro-1, MS-101, and VC340 are readying release, and there was the Jupiter-8 tease here.

via Musictribe on the K-20:

"I'll be honest, I love Korg mono synths. One of my all-time favourites is the Korg 770, this little guy's older sister. First off I'm amazed at the form factor in such a small footprint. This thing sounds awesome. Having a high pass and low pass with adjustable peak is amazing for fine tweaking tones. My 770 doesn't have that. One could get lost for hours just patching to different places and finding an endless sea of sounds. I never had an MS-20 so this was a learning experience of wonderment and at times pure awe. What a flexible little monster. Most definitely a generator of sounds from outer space. Add some tape delay and I'd go missing for hours on end. Wonderful job on this guy."

On the WASP Deluxe:

Wasp Deluxe – based on the rare EDP WASP synthesizer:

Legendary analog synthesizer with dual OSC design allows for insanely fat music creation
Authentic reproduction of original “Wasp Deluxe” circuitry with matched transistors and JFETs
Pure analog signal path based on authentic OSC, VCF and VCA designs
3 variable oscillator shapes with pulse / ramp and enhanced mode for ultimate sounds
Switchable, multi-mode VCF with Lo, Hi, Band and Notch modes
Flexible LFO with 4 waveform shapes, frequency and pitch modulation control
2 analog Envelope Generators for modulation of VCF and VCA
Noise generator dramatically expands waveform generation
16-voice Poly Chain allows combining multiple synthesizers for up to 16 voice polyphony
Complete Eurorack solution – main module can be transferred to a standard Eurorack Case
29 controls give you direct and real-time access to all important parameters

Vintage Korg 770 with Original KORG Dust Cover

via this auction

"It is kind of the big brother to the Korg MS-20. It features several unusual features, including: scale noise, external audio processing, traveler control of filters (HP/LP w/ res), and much more. It also includes the beige vinyl cover for it (which it must have sat under, protected, for some time). This piece looks like it came straight out of a time capsule!"

Roland R-8, Bass Bot TT-303, Korg Synthepedal FK-1 demo by Jordan Passmore

Published on Oct 23, 2014 Jordan Passmore

"This demo features the Roland R-8 drum machine (w/ "Dance" card, featuring a few of the sounds of the Roland CR-78 and TR-808 Hand Clap), Cyclone Analogic Bass Bot TT-303 (as you can guess by the looks of it, a Roland TB-303 clone) bass synth and Korg Synthepedal filter module. The first portion of the video features the normal sound of the TT-303, then, the 303 ran through the Synthepedal. The Synthepedal is a bandpass filter similar to those found in the very early Korg analog synths (770, 800dv, etc) with an envelope follower to track incoming audio. The envelope modulation affects both the high and lowpass filters at the same time creating a fairly unique squelching sound that suits the 303 very well. All of the hardware is mixed on my Studiomaster Pro Line mixer (I am using the multi outs of the R8 to to control the levels of each drum separately via the mixer). On the aux busses I have a DOD R-845 Spring Reverb and a Washburn A-09 Analog delay.

The Synthepedal was modified by the previous owner. If anyone has some original spare Korg knobs/sliders around (early Korg prefered but even if it's MS-20/Polysix-ish) I am interested!"

"2 VCO's with Envelope generator and VCO modulator.

Condition: This Korg has some cosmetic wear, but plays great and is full of warm, awesome analog goodness. It is in working condition . VCOs work great independently or together. Envelope generator works fine. All keys are smooth and stick free. Some of the keys have some dings and scratches, but this does not affect playabillity. The panels on the sides of the keyboard are made of wood and have some dings and marks. All the pots are in great shape, and work perfectly. This Korg will provide endless hours of fun to the tweaker inside us all. It is full of amazing sounds perfect for any type of music..."
