Testing Eurorack TB 303 Acid Setup Style

"I m testing for a future 'Leonard de Leonard' Live and tracks a Roland Tb303 acid style Modular synth setup.
For this setup in my Doepfer case I use the Metropolis Sequencer from intellijel.

For the sound I use the M303 from acidlab through the crazy Strakal Brulu Fuzz and the Make noise Echophon Delay.

For modulation I use 2 Ornament and crime, One is in Sequins mode to trig the Accent and the slide of the M303 and the other is in Mata -q mode to add 3 octave from the metropolis to the M303.

I use also a 4MS pingable Envelope generator to modulate the M303 filter.

I still have to improve this setup but I already like it a lot, it's very fun to play. If you have proposal or question fell free to say it.

Acidlab - M303:
The M303 is an entire synthesizer voice and to be exact a clone of the TB-303´s analog circuitry in a single Eurorack module. Imagine it as a modular vesion of the Acidlab Bassline without the sequencer but with aditional CV inputs instead.

Intellijel Designs - Metropolis:
Very intuitive eight-step sequencer inspired by the RYK-185 project. It shines with different trigger modes, glide, rest and skip per step, it has swing, a quantizer and a clock generator but the most wicked function is that each step can be repeated before proceeding to the next one. Combined with adjustable length per step you get an instant Techno generator! An awesome machine.

TouellSkouarn - Strakal Brulu Koavonek:
Directly from the Brittany in beautiful France comes the Strakal Brulu, a handmade distortion and fuzz module. The great sound is due to the new-old-stock east-german germanium transistors.

Make Noise - Echophon:
The Echophon flips the script on the trend of software based emulation of analog gear! Tony Rolando from MakeNoise and Tom Erbe from Soundhack prsent the Echophon, a DSP based Echo and Delay module for the Eurorack modular system. It is a digital echo with an unique pitch shifting alogorithm, smooth time modulation, tempo synchronisation and feedbacks with saturation. All parameters can be voltage controlled.

4ms Pingable Envelope Generator:
The Pingable Envelope Generator or PEG is a dual digital envelope generator. The duration of one envelope cycle can be forced-to-fit between two "pings". This means that the envelope will perfectly fit into a rhythmical scheme!

If you wonder why "VCF-Mod" produce results when no cable is pluged in, it's a genius combination of the VCO and the envelope behind it. ;)
-M303 is working on Autobot's Systembus, even ACCENT will be transmitted. The module is working with Doefer's systembus, too.

Used Stuff: Acidlab M303, Autobot & Miami. External control by Doepfer A-119 (to feed MIAMI into M303's Filter Input), A-143-3 Quad LFO (for Modulation), Blue Lantern 6HP Joystick (another mod-source) & Intellijel Triatt (to invert CVs). System is powered by Acidlab's POW and housed in a Acidlab 6U Rack."

"The M303+ is a Roland TB303 (without the sequencer) modified by groove electronics to have midi control, also added sync 24 to start a tb303 with a clock from your pc or mac,,, and ,,,an added midi to cv convertor for another analogue synth without midi,,

Very handy kit to bridge the gap between midi and cv gate technology.

we used this on nearly all our old shades of rhythm material , we used the sync 24 to sync an original roland tb303 with our pc using cubase , we used the modified built in roland tb303(without sequencer) using normal midi and we used the additional midi to cv gate to turn our sh101 into a midi synth.. a true work horse ;)

The M303 + is a dual channel MIDI to CV converter with an analogue voice module fixed to the Channel A CV controls.
The M303 voice is very similar to that found on the TB303 Bassline, and incorporates all the same front panel controls as found on that machine.These controls are self explanatory, and a few minutes spent with the machine will inform you of the range of sounds available.
Differences include the ability to control the voice from MIDI with pitchbend on any assignable receive channel, and control of the cut-off frequency from velocity information.
The manual supplied is that of the M2CV as this explains all the programmable parameters that are available on this machine.
Please Note,
Any parameter described in the M2CV manual will be available for control af the 303. ie Mod wheel or aftertouch could replace velocity as the controlling information routed to the filter. Transpose can be used to alter range of 303. Remember however that at power up, the unit defaults to the same set of parameters.
The unit is fitted with SYHC 24 output, arp triggering and of course a free set of CV, LEVEL and GATE outputs to independantly control another monosynth."

"Acidlab M303 Complete TB-303 Voice - Eurorack Modular Synthesizer

Oscillator: Waveform is selectable between square and sawtooth. Tuning control for setting the frequency. 1V/octave CV input for controlling the frequency. VCO-CV with attenuator (VCO Mod control). Input for de-/activating the silde function. Oscillator output.

Filter:303 low pass filter with controls for cutoff and resonance. The cutoff can be modulated with the VCF-CV input with the VCF-Mod control as attenuator.. Besides that the filter features a env-mod control for setting the envelope´s cutoff modulation depth. An audio input allows for filtering external audio material.

Envelope: manually controlled Decay-Envelope with gate input and envelope output.

VCA: internally modulated by the envelope, but alternatively it can work in gate mode. Separate VCA audio input. The accent input allows for setting accents with a CV/trigger.

The level of the audio signal at the OUT socket can be adjusted with the volume control.

Acidlab M303 Feat 4ms Pingable Envelope Generator (for Eurorack Synth Acid Modulation)

"One Eurorack combo I use all the time on Live or Studio for Acid tracks since many years is the combination of the Acidlab M303, a clone of the iconic Roland Tb303 with a Sync LFO from my fav Modular Synth Envelope Generator, the 4ms PEG, It add so much musicality , very simple but very effective .
On the video I record the acid part of my future track with Mectoob "Les Pigeons" (https://www.instagram.com/gael_mectoob ) I use the 4ms to module the cutoff of the filter.(this is a Raw Version I think I ll edit a lot before final Version)
What you don t see on the video: I use random "-1oct down" and random "Slide" with the Hermod from Squarp instruments, I also Use the Strakal Brulu from Touellskouarn to overdrive the Acid Sequence.I also did a little mix."
