The Harvestman Hertz Donut + TipTop Audio BD808 & SD808 (Hard Techno Demo)

Googlish:
""To celebrate the arrival of The Harvestman modules and TipTop Audio, small quick demo and manly with a Hertz Donut (all the" melodic ", note the quotes, and modules for the SD808 and BD808 drum machine).
This is of course a demonstration, and has no particular musical purpose except to annoy your neighbors and spouses (delete as appropriate).
The sequence is controlled by two Pressure Points Make Noise, quantized by a Doepfer A-156, and the whole is mixed in a QMMG to Make Noise before going in to TipTop Audio Z5000."

Late night BD808 Jam

"First patch with the new TipTop BD808 analogue percussion kick drum module and MakeNoise VCO prototype. Sequence is clock triggered from the 4ms RCD, and SCD. Master clocked from one Doepfer A-147 LFO. MakeNoise VCO created the low tone bass tones, and E350 and Tiptop Z3000 MkII ran through Z-DSP/Z5000 for reverb created the drones and harmonies.

Continuum Fingerboard and modular synth - eight improvisations

Continuum Fingerboard and modular synth - eight improvisations from Katavist on Vimeo.

"No Midi. The Haken's internal sound "clinical oscillator 1" was routed to the Analogue Systems RS-35 External Processor and Doepfer A-119 to generate pitch cv, envelope and triggers.
Awesome how minimal changes in finger pressure brings about so much voltage control with the Wiard JAG distributing cv to different modules simultaneously. The Blacet Frequency Divider together with Malekko Wiard Noisering and Doepfer Wasp filter made for bass rumbling, f(h) SOS through spring reverb module provided noisy delay patterns, TipTop Z5000 was used for reverb and additional delay. Also: ADDAC Complex Random, Analogue Solutions CVT, MFB Triple Osc, Doepfer LPG, Hinton Switchmix, PlanB M13."

Intellijel μscale - quantized symmetry

Intellijel μscale - quantized symmetry from Richard Devine on Vimeo.

"The μscale module is a cv quantizer and musical interval generator. In this simple patch I am using four VCO's. Cwejman VCO-2RM, VM-1,harvestman piston honda, and hertz donut. Everything is being CV sequenced by the output of the μscale. Clocked from one mini ELF LFO to a Doepfer 160, 161 then out to a-151 quad sequential switch controlling the MakeNoise Brains, and two pressure points doing long slow sequences back into the CV and Shift input on the Intellijel μscale. The drums are coming from the cwejman BLD and NS-04 for the white noise snare, and high hats. Effects used TipTop Z5000, Z-DSP, and Doepfer A-187

Fat Elephant Nodules

YouTube via genxtargetmarket | March 11, 2010 | 9 likes, 0 dislikes

"Modular stuff with the Moog Voyager thrown in. It should be obvious which core sound is the Voyager. The Voyager is run through the Cwejman RES-4, FSH-1 & VC-FC plus the TipTop Z5000 and Analogue Systems RS-290; and that's only on the right channel. The left channel goes through a Metasonix TM-2. The Metasonix R51 is in the feedback path of the Analogue Systems RS290 delay. You can see when it is brought into the sonic stew by watching the red diode on the right-most tube light up.

If you can stand watching until the last 45 seconds of the video, you'll see my new favorite trick: Making the Analogue Solutions BD78 self-oscillate and then sticking a very modulated STG Wavefolder on the end of it. Shhhh... don't tell anyone."

TipTop Boss

TipTop Boss from Chris Carter on Vimeo.

"This is basically just a TipTop Z8000 sequencer controlling a Z-DSP module, a Z2040 VCF & a Z5000 VCDSP module. The audio source is a Boss DR-220E Dr.Rhythm, which is also triggering the Z8000 sequencer from its programmable Trig output. Other modules used were a MFB Dual LFO- to change the direction of the sequencer and a Doepfer Dual VCA modulated by two Doepfer VCOs to add a little ring-mod'ish timbre."

Doepfer Monster Modular

YouTube via belempa1
"L'impressionnante valise Doepfer est déjà remplie ,
il faut toujours plus d'espace : satané modulaire :-)
Ce patch utilise plusieurs oscillateurs et le VM-1 de Cwejman , en passant par les excellent filtres Malekko-Wiard . La reverb' est une A199 Doepfer avec le tank du Q115 Synthesizers.com , et le Z5000 Tiptop pour le delay.
Le but de ce patch est de tourner en boucle sans l'aide de séquenceur et de clavier externe .

The impressive suitcase Doepfer is already full,
More space is always needed: damned modular , :-)
This patch uses several oscillators and VM-1 of Cwejman, by way of excel them filter Malekko-Wiard. The reverb is A199 Doepfer with the tank of Q115 Synthesizers.com, and the Z5000 Tiptop for the delay.

Tiptop Audio Z-DSP

via Tiptop Audio
"It’s time to get ready to clear up 28HP of your precious modular space for a unique sonic experience, watch out, the Z-DSP is coming your way. The module is currently in the final stages of beta testing and the first batch is expected to be available sometime in November. A number of the Z-DSP’s components are custom made and supplied to us in small quantities; as a result the first run is limited to 40 modules and we hope to have another batch made during December.

One of the unique features of the Z-DSP is its ability to change applications on-the-fly with the algorithm cartridges. The first cartridge to be offered for the Z-DSP is the Dragonfly Delay, a collection of 8 time-based VC-Stereo-Delay algorithms that behave gently and sweetly, but, with the twist of a knob, switch of a button, or patch addition, it can suddenly become extremely rude and unexpectedly bend the space-time of your waves in a unique manner. Next in line will be the Spider Filter, a collection of 8 brutal VC-Digital Filters (VCDF) with deep cut/pass filters and attacking resonance that really bites. This cartridge is currently rated NC-17 here in Hollywood, so beware.

Coming soon..."

Update: some audio via Tiptop Audio on SoundCloud:

Z3000>Z2040>Z-DSP filters >Z5000 by Tiptop Audio
"Had some fun last night testing the filters of the Z_DSP. The baseline is made using Z3000 PWM pulse into the Z2040. This then get into the Z-DSP, the Z-DSP use the Bat Filter Cartridge, and the output of the Z-DSP goes in stereo to the Z5000 that adds the stereo delay. The growling are Frequency sweeps of the Z-DSP Bat Filter cartridge using program No.7 VC - 4Pole Digital State Variable Filter. At the end of the track I replace the Z-DSP cartridge to the Dragonfly Delay and switch the Z5000 to Reverb to make some strange pad. This pad is made by modulating the Z-DSP clock and a tiny bit of the VC-Time on both channels."

Tiptop Audio Z-DSP Experiments on The Stretta Procedure

"I'm one of the lucky few beta testers of the new Tiptop Audio Z-DSP eurorack module, and boy is it a lot of fun. The Z-DSP is a lot like the Tiptop Audio Z5000, except embiggened. A lot. There are three CV controlled parameters per program. There is a feedback loop that you can tap into on the front panel so you can insert a filter or whatever module you can think of inside a part of the DSP process that is usually closed to tinkering. You can change the personality of the DSP by inserting a different card on the front panel. You can even voltage control the clock. This is serious sound-mangling mayhem."

The New Tiptop Audio Z5000

"The new Z5000 provides a practical and economical means of adding digital stereo effects to the monophonic sounds of a modular synthesizer. The Z5000's twelve stereo effects include seven different types of reverbs, ranging from dry reflection to highly diffused tail, two ping-pong delays, two triplet delays, and a smooth chorus. It also includes four mono effects including: a linear comb filter (flanger), an exponential comb filter (two-stage phaser), a monophonic delay and a +/-1 octave pitch shifter.

One of the unique features of the Z5000 is that each of the sixteen DSP programs offers a smooth parameter sweep using the front panel controls and/or an external positive or bi-polar CV. Coupled with the available digital effects, the Z5000 is able to be fully integrated into a system, making post-processing of modular synth sound effortless by eliminating the need for long cables with adaptors running to external multi-effects processors. And because the Z5000 is designed to handle 'hot' modular signals, it helps prevent audio clipping caused by un-matched signal levels.

The Z5000 hardware combines the benefits of analog patch cables with the sound of 24bit digital effects in a convenient Eurorack module that is easily integrated into your system like any other analog module.

The new Z5000 is now available through AH and Schneiders Buero

http://www.tiptopaudio.com/z5k.php"

Update: If you are curious as to what the difference is between the old and new Z5000, here is what Gur had to say in the comments: "new DSP processor with 16 new algorithms, stereo delays, digital comb filters, new reverbs and a much smoother control with Bi-Polar CV. This revision of the Z5000 is focusing mainly on the stereo image, while the old Z5000 was more about highly diffused reverbs. One doesn't necessarily replace the other."
