DSP Synthesizers Rhythm Wolf Eurorack Module

via DSP Synthesizers

"If you can do Roland TR/CR/DR and Drumulator, why not AKAI and rhythm wolf?

It's the same chip and PCB.

Just a different panel and algorithm.

By the way 50 of the first batch CR-4 are shipping now.

Pretty cool drums in a 6HP format.

Beatstep Pro controls: Tiptop Audio drum modules & Dinky's Taiko for the percussion. The high sequence is the A-1115 , while the bell like sequence is from Elements.
Borderlands Granular is triggering sections of various atmos files, which iare then processed through Mutable Instruments Clouds..

New Plankton Electronics Arrhythmia Eurorack Module

via Plankton Electronics

"A programmable clock generator for the creation of complex rhythms and patterns. Infinite possibilities to design swing patterns, organic rhythms, weird loops or chaos. Very usefull to trigger step sequencers, envelopes, logic gates or sync inputs (e.g. The Jellyfish).

- Analog clock combined with a digital step counter.

- 2 to 16 steps.

- Rates from 24,5 msec to 8 sec.

- Step by step time configuration.

- 20 soft-tact knobs, 16 buttons, 30 leds, 2 ins & 2 outs."

"Justen listen and look carefully"

Panel Details:

1. STEP KNOB: Sets the duration of each step. On its minimum position it follow the RATE assigned tempo. Turning it CW you add more time to each step.

2. STEP LED: Indicates the current step.

3. LAST STEP SWITCH: Sets the last step.

4. LAST STEP LED: Indicates the last step selected with 3.

5. RATE: Sets the master rate on the analog clock. From 24,5 ms/step to 8 sec/step when no CV is applied to the CV in. When a CV is applied to the CV in it can cross the audio rate.

6. STEP RANGE: Sets the range of the step knobs. On its minimum position the step knobs only add a small portion of time at each step. When turning it CW each step knob have a bigger range of action. Useful when playing at different clock rates and different kinds of rhythms.

7. RATE CV ATT.: Attenuates the RATE CV input.

8. GATE LENGTH.: Sets the duration of the pulse out. From 2 to 16 ms. When the clock is pushed below a lower wave length of the pulse it is shrinked to the half of the clock length.

9. RATE CV (INPUT): Modulates the clock rate.

10. RESET (INPUT): Resets the clock to the step 1. Very useful for creating complex patterns. Accepts control signals (0-5V).

9. STEP 1 (OUTPUT): Sends a pulse each time the step 1 is activated. Use it to trigger step sequencers, envelopes, or whatever you want. The signal is 0 – 5V.

10. CLOCK (OUTPUT): The clock master output. The signal is 0 – 5V.

"Up for your consideration is this wonderful vintage Mini Moog Model D analog synthesizer in working, serviced condition. This old gem was found in an ancient road case and was serviced by Pro Tech in Silver Spring, MD to ensure proper performance. The entire unit was cleaned and calibrated and works great as far as my limited musical skill can demonstrate. There is obvious wear to the unit, most notably the wooden case, we've included numerous pictures to give you an accurate idea as to the condition of this unit..."

New Voodoo Design MultiModular MuchoDrum multiple modular analog drum synth demo1 DIY

Published on Dec 18, 2015 J Tracy

"Multimodular MuchoDrum is 4 analog drum synths in one box with a vacuum tube preamp AND 4 drum pads.
All elements (drums and preamp) have individual outs and can be connected or used separately. External triggers and sequencers can also be employed for each synthesizer.
This is the FIRST AUDIO demo test of ONE of the analog drum synths meant mainly to be toms etc"

via Etsy

"The MultiModular MuchoDrum is a analog modular drum synthesizer comprised of 4 semi independant analog drum synthesizers connected physically only via one single main electrolytic filtered and IC conditioned power circuit I designed and handmade. There are :
-Sindrum
-Percus.Sin
-AnaSin
-Sin.Bl

Each section is actually an indepedant drum synthesizer module. Sindrum is a modified DS8 clone, the Percus.Sin a modified DS7 clone, the AnaSin a modified version of Eric Archers simple single sound trigger and the last is a NoizeDrum circuit a designed. Each can be plugged in via modular eurorack patch cable (1/8" aka 3.5mm mono audio cable) to the tube preamp which I also designed and hand built. The pre uses the most popular audio tube the 12au7 and has options for gain and heat which..rather obviously..control the amount of power to the tube and heater element respectively, allowing the user to distort or push the drum sound and really give it some grit or simply a touch of character. The modules vary from the widely variable first to the last two which allow user to vary only the harmonic signature and tone basically.
There are 4 piezoelectronic pads which can also be used to trigger each synth on the opposite side of the suitcase from the controls and patch jacks. CV in jacks also allow use of sequencers or an outside drum machine, computer, etc
The wooden suitcase protects and allows easy portability and use.
Very cool unit.
I only made 2 and am not selling the other, so there is only the one in existence. It is completely handmade in the USA and true analog and unique.
information on DS7/8's is widespread and available all over the web as well as examples of the sound on youtube so its not so original in each sound, just the combo, the package and the potential being different in totality and modified without huge variation in the individual units.
Examples of preamps potential sound can be found in guitar pedals and amps which employ the 12au7 tube extensively."

Seattle Synth Meetup Set for January 17, 2016

For those in the area, there will be a synth gathering at Substantial on Capitol Hill, Seattle, WA on Sunday January 17 (900 E Pine, Suite 202). Everyone is welcome. If you'd like to bring some gear and need a table be sure to sign up on the Facebook event page here.

"Come out and join us for an afternoon of exploration and networking with fellow synthesizer enthusiasts. Get hands-on with the latest gear, learn how to build a modular synth patch, find collaborators, and share ideas & techniques. We plan to make this a regular event in 2016! A limited number of tables are available if you would like to bring some gear to demo. Everyone is welcome!"
