Additional details: "Korg Polysix with Kiwisix power supply replacement, Kiwisix PCB/MIDI firmware upgrade, Synthgraphics Kiwisix control panel decal, brand new replacement key contacts from LA Synth Co, new push switches, and a Tubbutec "Polysex" OSC mod (using original Polysix knobs to match). Included are the original manual, original matchbook, and an original Korg product advertisement from the 80s.

All of these improvements effectively create the modern Polysix we'd all love to see from Korg. Check out the embedded video to see how the Polysex adds a completely new dynamic to the trusty Polysix. The keys on this unit really do feel nice after the contact upgrade and the switch replacements go a long way for ease of use. No more dropped notes or button presses!"

Infusor-X [Comprehensive Overview] Eurorack VC FX Bus Switch / 10-Ch Mixer

Published on Jul 9, 2019 gstormelectro

"Available Tues. July 9, 2019
Be sure to check out my other modules available in my reverb store http://reverb.com/shop/gstormelectro

Audio and Video by G-Storm Electro c. 2019

This is a comprehensive overview of my new Infusor-X Eurorack module.
Switcher mode jumps between your effects modules on the fly – in timing w/ your groove.
MIXER mode is a straightforward 10-Channel Audio Sub-Mixer.

0:00 Quick Overview / Front + Back Layout
1:50 SWITCHER mode
2:50 PROGRAM mode for user CV Breakpoints
5:35 MIXER mode"

Infusor-X lets you switch between your effects modules on the fly – in timing w/ your groove.
Plug in a signal on channel 1.
And get back 7 (active) buffered multiples of that signal.
Now send those signals to 7 of your favorite effects.
And patch your 7 effects returns into channels 2-8.
Use the Channel Select buttons to switch between the dry channel 1, and the 7 effects return channels.
Whatever channel you select, it will go to the output one-at-a-time.
Also, plug in a 0-5v control voltage to automate switching between the channels.
The CV switching breakpoints are user-programmable.
That is the SWITCHER mode.

Oh. And in MIXER mode, the Infusor-X becomes a straightforward 10-Channel Audio Sub-Mixer.

Both modes feature:
8 level sliders (-inf to +3dB gain),
8 mute / channel select buttons
8 pan pots.
A pair of auxiliary L/R inputs on channels 9/10.
Just for your favorite synth or drum machine.
And stereo output.

Infusor-X is destined to groove you.

Mimetic Sequent generative melodies

Published on Jul 9, 2019 Noise Engineering

"Mimetic Sequent generates a pitch sequence for Cursus Iteritas Percido, slowly modulated by Pons Asinorum."

via Noise Engineering:

"Mimetic Sequent came out a few years ago and it’s the module of ours we think people are most confused about. So today we wander into the weeds with MS and its expander, Mimetic Multium. Good luck! You’ll need it! Just kidding! Not really!

OK, BUT REALLY, WTF IS MIMETIC SEQUENT

It’s a random CV source, a CV recorder, a CV randomizer, a quad random trigger generator (with its expander), and a whole lot of fun.

When I first got my MS and MM, I was confused, dazed, confused, and also confused. There were a lot of switches that all seemed to interact-- but how? There was a big, enticing knob in the middle. And there were buttons. Oh the buttons. What did any of these things do? Let’s talk about the Random knob first, because it’s kind of the point of MS.

6 Synth Arp featuring Skulpt, MS-101, UNO, MicroFreak, Hydronium & CraftSynth2

Published on Jul 9, 2019 Molten Music Technology

"The second in a series of multi-synth projects exploring how to make use of a table full of little synths. This time I take the MS-101 arpeggiator and run it to everything - and then start playing with the knobs. Much less talking in this one and the resulting performance is split into 3 movements.

Intro - 0:22
First movement - 1:14
Second movement - 20.03
Third movement - 29.18"

"The first in a series of multi-synth projects exploring how to make use of a table full of little synths. Starting with the basics - a single droning note - and then start playing with the knobs. This is the full (almost) unedited version with explanation and the resulting drone is split into 3 movements.

First movement - 6:41
Second movement - 22:42

Quadrature Modulator DESTROYS JS Bach

Published on Jul 9, 2019 Sbranvlztronics

"The Quadrature Modulator comprises a Quadrature VCO (Yusynth VCLFO) and a "Dome Filter" (from J. Haible's Frequency Shifter)- see links bellow.
The VCO portion has 3 potentiometers (coarse and fine frequency tuning and modulation CV attenuation), one CV input, 4 outputs and 4 LED indicators.
The dome filter section has one input and two outputs. The outputs are 90º phase shifted from each other. The video shows the waveforms from the VCO and Dome Filter on oscilloscope.
Differences from Yusynth Quadrature VCLFO are the capacitor value (1nF instead of 10nF), and changes in the freq control (fine tuning pot, reduction of the CV input resistor value).
It can operate at audio and sub audio ranges (0.2 to 4000 Hz approximately), but 1V/8ª tracking is only marginal (~2 octaves).
There is no significant differences in the dome filter circuit.
Some examples shown in the video:
Quadrature VCO controlling 4 VCOs, 1V/8ª CV for the Quadrature VCO input coming from the CV Quantizer.*
Frequency Shifter patch using the Quadrature Modulator and two Ring Modulators.*
Adding FM CV to Quatradure VCO (from the Arduino Clock Divider Logic Thing Octal DAC).*"
