MPE's missing link: The Studio MIDI & CV Interface (at Octagon Studios)

"TA Programming announces availability of Studio MIDI And CV Interface full synthesizer control system debut

LONDON, UK: following a successful showcase in October at Sheffield’s Synthfest UK 2019, billed as being the UK’s biggest synthesizer event, advanced creative technology designer TA Programming is proud to announce availability of its inaugural Studio MIDI And CV Interface full synthesizer control system — capable of controlling multiple synthesizers simultaneously via voltage control outputs and MIDI/USB with extra-low latency while keeping analogue instruments, vintage or otherwise, perfectly in tune with each other — as of December 20…

According to TA Programming CEO/CTO Tim Aviss, 'We designed this interface to be not just a solution to problems that we’d encountered when controlling synthesizers in the past, but to unlock a whole new world of creativity with synthesizers from one interface.'

"This CS-60 is fully functional and the panel & tolex exterior is in great condition. Includes lid and legs as well as volume and sustain pedal.

The CS-60 is a classic analog poly synth from Yamaha's excellent CS series. It is similar to the CS-80 with scaled down functionality; featuring 8 voice polyphony, resonant high pass/low pass filter with envelope modulation, ring modulation, pulse width modulation, LFO, and assignable aftertouch."

"This is a tiny synthesizer but with some great features !
This is probably one of the best synthesizer for bass lines, fat and round Bass, but also percussive sounds !
This is definitelya must have in every studio and you will probably not use any other synth for your bass lines anymore after you have tried this one.
This SB-100 has been professionally serviced and is now really to leave the workshop.
- Every potentiometers have been carefully cleaned and lubricated.
- The power rails have been recapped"

Robust American Patches Volume I Presets for the Roland/Studio Electronics SE-02

Published on Dec 19, 2019 Robust American Patches

"Please visit https://www.robustamericanpatches.com for more info! This bank of presets is on sale right now to celebrate our one year anniversary and to help ring in the new year! Save over 50% for a limited time!

Every sound in this demo song was programmed from scratch with the Roland/Studio Electronics SE-02. 16 of our presets from our latest release, "Volume I for the SE-02 " are at work here. Aftertouch, ModWheel, Velocity and Pitchbend were the only controllers used in the performances so you can hear what the presets sound like "out of the box". Practically every patch in this bank has MW, Aftertouch and Velocity assigned. We used a few of the UAD plugins for some extra echoes and reverb here and there. All sounds recorded into Nuendo at 24bit/48Khz through the Audient ASP-880.

Thanks for watching!"

"128 Synthesizer Presets for your Roland/Studio Electronics SE-02! Lovingly hand crafted from scratch, these sounds beg to be played from a controller with a modwheel and aftertouch. (Nearly every single patch has both MW and Aftertouch assignments...Not to mention Velocity and Pitchbend) This is the early, raw release and we're offering a huge Holiday/1Year Anniversary discount off of the already low price for a very limited time. What does "raw release" mean? No preset descriptions file, no individual preset files (besides the usb drive files) and a severe lack of demonstrations at the moment. Hey what do you want for $7.50? :) We've included the official editor bank files and the SE-02 USB drive folders with quick "read me" files explaining how to load the this bank. The complete demonstrations are in the works and should be up shortly after the holidays. The preset list and descriptions file should be completed around the same time and will be sent to existing owners immediately when finished.

Thanks for reading and Happy Holidays to all Synthusiasts!"

A little synth humor and a holiday post in via Micheal Geyre. It's too bad there is no way to modulate the modulation grid for some animation. :)

Synth + Pedal Sound Design Tutorial - Arturia MicroFreak and Zoom MS-70CDR

Published on Dec 19, 2019 Waveformer

"In this tutorial, I create a dreamy pad sound using a very basic patch on the Arturia MicroFreak and a phaser, delay and reverb from the Zoom MS-70CDR effects pedal.

This technique is by no means exclusive to the MicroFreak synth and the MS-70 pedal, and should work with almost any synth. The Zoom MS-70CDR pedal is perhaps the cheapest way of getting multiple good effects in one pedal, but there are lots of other options.

Please let me know in the comments if you create something similar using other equipment. I would love to hear about it.

The Zoom MS-70CDR patch is included below. To load the patch into the MS-70, connect your MS-70 to your computer using a USB cable, go to https://g200kg.github.io/zoom-ms-util..., right-click an available patch slot, select "Import Patch from text", and paste in this text.
