"It sounds huge for such a small synth, but not only that, it's very punchy and can get aggressive especially with all three oscillators going. It's almost a cross between a Moog and an MS-20 in terms of sound if I had to compare it to something, but overall it definitely has it's own "MFB" sound. The Kraftzwerg uses the same modules as in their Modular system and it's semi modular, patchable with 1/8" cables. Auction also includes 6 patch cables and the power supply that it came with."

2. 3 OF THE WHITE KEYS DON'T MAKE A SOUND WHEN YOU PRESS THEM.

3. 1 OF THE BLACK KEYS DOSEN'T MAKE A SOUND WHEN YOU PRESS IT.

I THINK THIS IS A PROBLEM ON THE KEY CONTACTS, AS THEY DO SOMETIMES MAKE A SOUND WHEN YOU PUSH THE KEYS RIGHT DOWN HARD.

4. SMALL AMOUNT OF WHITE PAINT ON FRONT PANEL BY THE RECORD BUTTON WILL COME OFF (SEE PICTURE 4)

ALL OTHER FUNCTION ON THE PANEL ARE ALL WORKING CORRECTLY.

"As shown in the picture it's got version 6.0 of the mod, as well as midi-in capability...

Features this has in additional to full TB-303 functionality:

CV and Gate inputs.
CV input to turn on Slide. (2.3 volts turns on the Slide circuit and > 4 volts turns on Gate to tie notes together.)
CV input for Accent.
CV input for Filter Frequency.
Output for Accent.
Audio In to filter.
Audio In to frequency modulate the filter.
Audio Out from filter (pre-VCA).
Overdrive pot to control the level of oscillator going to the filter: zero to 66.6 times normal level.
Separate control of Main Envelope Generator times in accented and non-accented notes.
Volume envelope is no longer fixed, and can be varied from 16 msec through 3 seconds –and to no decay at all, i.e. for notes which last indefinitely.
Soft Attack control gives attack times between 0.3 and 30 msec. (TB-303 attack was ~3 msec.)
Slide time is variable to five times longer than normal.
Variable Filter Tracking causes the oscillator CV to control the filter frequency.
Internal Filter FM: a unique approach of AC coupled Filter FM from the audio output of the VCA.
The Muffler is a unique post-VCA soft-clip distortion circuit which retains bass response.
Push-button to manually activate Accent.
Filter can be switched to self resonance.
Accent Sweep has three modes and can be disabled.
Filter Cut Off pot range doubled to 5 kHz max, and widened to include much lower frequencies.
Env Mod pot range extended to include zero and go as high as three times the normal maximum.
Bass response is improved.
Lithium battery for at least ten years battery backup, so there is no need to install C-cell batteries.
The six TB-303 knobs Tuning to Accent are mounted 1.5mm higher, making them easier to turn.

"Within the myopic domain of patch-cord cowboys wiggling cheeks to the beat of blinkie lights, the outside world is escaped from… forgotten… even ignored. If it’s strumed it’s ho-hummed. Banged? Danged! Sung? Save your lungs!

The Triple-3 aims to shatter the safe confines of Urkle’s inner-sanctum. Trogotronic welcomes in the freaks who with to interact with yon knob collection in an entirely new fashion: The Model 333 M is a three channel audio-to-cv generator that reacts to audio input in a very useful way:

As a Traditional Envelope Follower
As a Nine Step Event Sequencer
“Ditto” in a third Discrete Channel

Mic your neighbors loud-assed hog & you have a two channel sequencer which is triggered in time to the odd, organic lope of her Milwaukee-made V-Twin; Mic Bonzo’s kick drum & your rig reacts to every extra drunken lazy foot kick; Patch it to Maso’s flying Altoids “shaker box” full of Japanese pennies & your modules are perfectly controlled by the supernatural Osaka master of the 55-second polyester display. 333 M Series even means yer barking dog is officially in your techno-band. Mazel tov fair Fido! 333 Features:

3 Channel Audio-to-CV Generator
1 Envelope Generator
2 Channel, 9 Step Event Sequencer
3 Discrete Decay Controls (1 for each channel)
Input Attack Control
Input Preamp Gain Control
Sequencer Range Control
Sequencer Mode Selector
12 Blinding Blue & Red lights
Compact @ Only 10hp
Sequence Breakout Bus foreshadows “more to come”

Gain Control allows the use of everything from the weak signal of a mic or guitar with no preamp to the “hot” signal output from another module without trouble. Range, Attack & Decay Controls allow a great number of adjustments to create odd/organic sequences as well as shaping the Envelope. Sequence Mode selects progressive or single step activation; Both modes have our unique Smooth-Transition Circuitry between steps. Two Sequencer Channel Decay Controls modify CV creating either hard staccato steps or slowly fading voltage glory. Model 333 M ships complete with Printed User Guide, Trogotronic Owner’s Card, 7″ Power Bus Ribbon Cable, Allen Head Fasteners + USA Made Installation Tool packaged in an almost handsome, earth-killing recyclable box. Trogotronic road-proven construction means ALL controls are fastened to the the control board with a nut not just soldered to the circuit board only to be throw-away after a few hard tours of duty. And, of course, ALL Trogotronic instruments are hand-made in the stinkin’ USA by subhumans rather than contracted out to the cheapest overseas bidder by the boardroom fascist overlords.

"Thanks for watching! Hope you enjoyed it :)

This song was recorded using the sounds of virtual instruments from IK Multimedia's Miroslav Philharmonik Classik Edition. It was played on a Content D4330 digital organ.

Supero (Latin for "To Conquer") is apparently pronounced 'sa´pē-rŏ, but personally, I think sue pe'rō sounds a lot cooler ... especially if you say it in an English accent :) Supero is meant to be a sequel to my first song Consurgo, which means "To Rise Up" (http://youtu.be/ZXK8PBH4zrw).

Monthly Synth Module Building Workshops at Robot Speak

"Monthly Synth Module building workshops at Robot Speak starting @ 12:00 on Saturday May 19th!

Every third Saturday of the month we will get together and build up a synth module in a group.

How much does it cost and what do you get ?:

$150- Per seat includes pcb and all parts to build a module. There will be a group there to help make sure your module is completed in that Saturday session.

Never soldered before ? Can't read schematics ? ....

Don't worry. Show up early and we will show you how.

What do I need to bring?

Soldering Iron, Wire strippers, Solder sucker, any tools. ( If you don't have them all the first time its ok. contact Dmitri before hand and we will sort something out).

Will it work with my Eurorack system ? How about panels ?

We are working on making these workshops Non Format Dependent. What we mean by that Is we plan to do circuits that will fit behind most panel sizes. While some pcbs already have panels available for them on the market. We are working with some very talented panel designers to help do custom panels for the group.

Projects will also include power regulation when needed for +-12v and +-15v systems.

Ok are you sold yet ? As if that weren't enough. We received the ok from Ken Stone to build his Serge licensed pcbs. Serge lived across the street in the 70s and 80s.

upon hearing about this Cynthia Webster of Cyndustries fame has joined us and will be giving the first workshop on May 19th! Cynthia was here in SF's modular heyday and used to hang out and solder with Serge. She is designing a very special top secret circuit for us to be unveiled at the workshop! We can say that you will be able to use it with your modular system.

So for $150- I get to build a circuit/module designed by Cynthia Webster for my modular even if i never built a module before ?

Yes. You don't have to source the parts your self. This will be a module that is not yet on the market so... You couldn't buy it if you wanted to. Social learning and building. I could go on and on about what kind of a value this is but I won't. Did I mention that she will be traveling up from So Cal to give the workshop in person?

She is doing this, We are doing this to help kick start some communal modular SDIY in SF. We have rich history here but when someone comes from out of town to visit the old mecca of modular there isn't much to see... We aim to change that. We aim to build this monthly thing, purvey the art of SDIY, Celebrate the history.

A link to Dmitri's blog post explaining how this all started.

Korg MS 20 basic hand clap sound

YouTube Uploaded by demokid2000 on Apr 8, 2012

"I tried to make a sort of hand clap sound on the MS20. It is a very easy sound to create on the MS20 thanks to its lovely high pass filter with resonance. I also use a narrow pulse wave from the LFO which controls the low pass filter cut off to simulate several hands clapping not totally in sync.
I'm not totally satisfied with the result... a few more minutes of twisting knobs and you can get a descent hand clap sound.

"Current modified circuit bent speak n read by bentstruments"

via this auction

"Here we have a Benstruments, circuit bent Texas Instruments Speak & Read.

Just like the Speak and Spell, exact same voice only the Speak and Read has better beat looping in my opinion.

You also have a small vocabulary of words you can type in and the speak & read will say the word typed.

Works as a normal Speak & Read until you flip a glitch switch.

Ive added these new controls:

Opto-Theremin Pitch Control with on/off switch

LFO control with rate led and knob, shape knob and pitch depth knob.

Tone oscillator button that creates a tone you can then manipulate with the pitch controls like a theremin

1/4" output jack that shuts off the onboard speaker when you plug into an amp or pa system

Loop switch with on/off and advance button for cool beat loops

Reset switch to get it back to normal

Glitch forever switch that sets the speak into constant gibbering of incoherent sentences

Dual voice glitch switch that causes it to speak in both a high pitch and low pitch at the same time

Ive added all the coolest mods you can find on these sweet robotic bent synthesizers. I guarantee all of my bentstruments for as long as you own, my work is solid and ive modified hundreds of toys and synths that are employed the world over by both famous and amateur musicians. Great piece to bring some creativity to your work."

"Performs flawlessly and sounds amazing after a little TLC from Wes Taggart of Analogics, in Geneva OH. He also refinished the original walnut cabinet and it looks beautiful and all but perfect, except for one miniscule ding on the strip below the keyboard. Of note, this synth had some modifications done to it previous to my owning of it, which has been for the past several years. I've never used them, nor could I go about explaining their function. You can see the modifications in the picture. Either way, they don't impede upon the functioning of this synth in any way. Also, the knob for OSC 1's waveform bank doesn't match the other pointer knobs, but I am including an original pointer knob in the auction for a change-out. I put a copy of the Invoice for the Mini's repairs in the photos, but I will go ahead and lay them out here as well:

(1) Replaced keyboard and lefthand connectors (x2) $75.00 =$150
(2) Replaced all electrolytic caps & power supply rebuild (x2) $75.00 =$150
(3) Cap Kit =$25
(4) Bushing Kit =$35
(5) Replace keyboards bushings =$75
(6) Octave Switch Update =$75
(7) Tuning update (x4) $75 =$300
(8) Solder Edgecard connectors (x3) $75 =$225
(9) Clean keyboard, pots, switches, and calibration =$75

Just to reiterate, this thing looks and sounds absolutely amazing."
