"ambient/drone jam with minor buildup featuring DPO and cyclebox singing together. cyclebox on bass with help from the STG Soundlabs .COM, and DPO providing all manner of waveshaped noises. i've noticed the DPO is very powerful sounding in the midrange when layered. fantastic oscillator!"

ArdCore Cartesian 4x4 Step Sequencer

Published on Dec 1, 2012 by chisel316
Gets going at 2:14.

"This is a demonstration of a 4x4 step sequencer I created for the Snazzy FX ArdCore Eurorack module. The top left knob sets the X position, the top right knob sets the Y position, the bottom left knob sets the CV at the X,Y position, the CLK input (yellow patch) advances the X step and the A3 input (green patch) advances the Y step. In the first part, I use both knobs on the 8nu8r to advance through the X and Y steps manually while programming the sequences. In the second part, I plug the X and Y clocks into the ES-3 which is acting as a clock divider sending out gates in 1 to 8 steps. For example, by patching the X clock into output 1 and the Y clock into output 4 the sequencer advances through all 16 steps in order. Hope you enjoy it!"

TB303 & TT303 Bass Bot Video Comparisons

Published on Dec 1, 2012 by Bonnline

"TB & TT comparison. OK what can I say? Well the TT is value for money v the price of a TB. If you own a TB you will notice the slight differences but man that TT is impressive. The bass end blows the TB away but the TB still has those strange idiosyncrasies that that TT just can't quite replicate albeit it does come very close - only a TB owner will notice this. The TT certainly sends the x0xb0x to third place! Build quality is just like a new original, the tunning-accent pots are higher thus easier to turn but may feel a little wobbly for it!! I think TB owners will be shocked at how good it is = I was!. The tunes you hear are both identical but my TB double fires (sticky button syndrome!)... aha! but this is part of the TBs power - you get a different tune to what you had originally planned. The TB303 is the master but he has shown the TT the way ;-)"

"Ok, now that Thing is sick! I want one. All the demos made by a single battery charge and left still the half of it :) No compression, external FX, but in some (not much) cases I had to use some EQ due to the experimental charakter of some of the sounds. Enjoy!"

Arduino Video Tutorials & the Standuino

Published on Oct 1, 2012 by rswwwchannel

Playlist below. This set of videos focuses on the Arduino.  Remember you can use the controls at the bottom of the player to skip through the videos.  For those not familiar with the Arduino, it's an open source micro-controller that you can use to create any number of things synth related or not as you can see in some of these video.    As for Standuino "Standuino started as a clone board of popular Arduino but adapted to even more DIY approach of eastern region (=bastl). With this powerful tool it became part of many art installations and enabled our research team to build prototypes of many different devices most importantly musical instruments. The whole concept of Standuino is inspired and covered by the story of a pioneer of media art – Standa Filip. The name Standuino goes mainly from Standas name but also stands for what Standuino is best at – the standalone applications."

The following is the description for the first video:
"Subscribe and find out more about the new Arduino Starter Kit at http://ow.ly/e3WVr (remember to select your country).

Find out more about this project at DesignSpark http://ow.ly/exy2Q

Looking to learn the basics of using the Arduino starter board? Well be sure to watch this informative video hosted by Massimo Banzi, one of the Co-Founders of Arduino.

The video explains how to build a basic circuit with the Arduino board, and how to use each of the basic components such as LEDs, switches, and resistors. So if you are new to engineering, or have only recently purchased the Arduino started kit, this video is a must-watch!"
