VGA Feedback Video Synth / Audio Visualizer - LoFi Future FB-200

video upload by LoFiFuture

"Available to order here: https://lofi-future.square.site/produ...

The FB-200 is an overall improvement to the previous version of this device, the FB-100.

Keeping the same enclosure and similar basic specs this particular unit features a much more thought out signal path resulting in a more intuitive machine. The composite video processing and control circuitry is exactly the same as the FB-1000, but with just 1 LFO that can be assigned to any colour instead of 3 independent LFOs as featured on the FB-1000.

The 3 RGB pots are backlit with the corresponding colour LED. These LEDs vary in brightness depending on how high or low that knob is set and also visualises the LFO speed when the LFO is assigned to it.

The toggle switch for each channel enables that channels audio input. The FB-200 features 3 independent audio inputs that allow you to visualise more than one audio element. These are not raw audio inputs, instead it uses a switching circuit that senses peaks in the audio and sends that channel to ground briefly. This results in the familiar horizontal lines but instead of behind red, green or blue lines, the lines are the sum of the other two colours resulting in a more complex colour pallet.

The LFO section is a sine / square LFO capable of really slow frequencies or audio range frequencies (selectable via toggle switch) 3 push buttons allow the LFO to be assigned to any of the RGB channels. When the audio rate is selected it results in scanlines that can be controlled and brought into harmony with the videos scan frequency, creating slowly moving horizontal lines.

The composite video modifier is essentially a hue and contrast control rolled into one. Its is a circuit that has been specifically designed for the purpose of creating more controllable feedback loops with the dual VGA scan converter / scaler setup. Turning the knob clockwise instantly causes intense colour separation between the red, green and blue channels in the feedback loop, preventing a single colour simply washing out the screen. A toggle switch acts as a colour boost causing the feedback to become overly intense and with the flip of a switch it is instantly back in your control."

Agogô by Jolin Lab - Kit build video.

video upload by Synth Diy Guy

"Watch me as I slip and tumble building this super straightforward module kit, all because of a classic mistake :D

Stay noisy!"

Module details via Jolin Lab:

"AGOGÔ is an octal analogue vactrol-based low pass gate and mixer in a cascade
configuration.

Each one of its inputs, CVs and outputs are normalized and buffered to the next one: it can be used as a multiplier and a mixer for both audio and CV.

One way to imagine AGOG? is to use water and streams.

In the module we have three rivers:

“I” – inputs

“V” – CVs and modulations and

“O” – outputs

“I” is flowing from top to bottom. An input inserted in the first socket will be buffered and it will flow unaltered in the next. If a cable is inserted, the connection will be interrupted.

“V” works in the same way but there is some latency in the interruption due to its chained vactrol configuration. This means that with a single control voltage you can open all the gates simultaneously.

Combining the features of both “I” and “V” you can – for example – control a single signal with 8 different CVs or 8 different sources with the same CV. The streams can be interrupted in any point, this means that all the LPGs can be used individually or in pair for stereo effects or send/return divisions.

The last stream, “O” represents the end of the flow, the river mouth. It acts as an active mixer, letting you mix 8 or more signals. As in the other streams, the connection can be interrupted in any given point to create sub mixes or individual outs.

More units can be chained together thanks to headers on the back. This chained configuration will add saturation to the final out."

"The Super 6 is a 12-voice polyphonic, binaural hybrid synthesizer. The instrument combines state of the art FPGA digital hardware oscillators with voltage controlled analog technology. It is flexible, powerful and refined with a gorgeous analog sound character. Rich and evolving texturescan be easily created via the Super-Wavetable core. Results are shapeable using the binaural analog signal path and the flexible modulation system. Thanks to great built-quality and lots of control elements, the Super 6 is a superb live instrument.

STRINGS and PADS on KAWAI MP11SE | Patch Demo | No Talking Just Playing Digital Stage Piano

video upload by Microflat

"This video will demo the 7-octave Kawai MP11SE, a grandiose digital stage piano with 88 wooden keys and a feel/action-ratio like a true grand piano. Many classical pianists actually use this model when rehearsing because of the near-perfectly weighted keys. It reminds me of my old renowned Kawai MP9500 model (2002) which was fantastic. However, this model comes with way more sounds, 256 notes polyphony and extended effects and functionalities. I demo the 4 string patches and the 4 pad patches. All audio output effects are default Kawai MP11SE FX."

Starter Kits | Episode 09 | Getting somewhere with Noise Engineering

video upload by Cinematic Laboratory

"I know this isn't really a starterkit episode, it's more 'get as many modules from one brand as possible'. But a starter kit needs to go somewhere. If you love techno, grime, drum & bass, industrial or dark ambient, Noise Engineering offers a lot of modules that can make you happy. But when you're about to make your first picks, make sure your voice (iteritas module) has a trigger input, otherwise you'd need an extra VCA and envelope. In my humble opinion, the Basimilus and the big Percido's are the best starter oscillators in the portfolio. Desmodus can handle your FX and Mimetic Digitalis is a great starter sequencer. NE also provides a small gate sequencer (the Bin Seq) to drive it."

"Korg M1 MIDI synthesizer keyboard workstation with manual, quick guide card set and Korg magazine.

The M1 was released in 1988 and used Korg's AI synthesis with high quality sampled PCM waveforms processed digitally through the M1's synthesis engine. There are a bank of 100 internal sounds in program mode, and 100 more in combination mode plus 44 drum sounds, which of course can be edited and stored in custom patches. The keyboard features 16 voice polyphony in single mode. In combination mode, up to 8 single programmes can be layered or split across the keyboard.

There's a wide variety of onboard effects and 2 expansion slots for Korg RAM and ROM cards. The sequencer offers up to 77,000 events depending on how much memory is allocated to the 100 programs/combinations. The keyboard is velocity sensitive and also has after touch. Pitch and modulation to sounds is controllable via the X/Y joystick."

Island of the Moon | Ambient track | Yamaha AN1x and Hologram Microcosm

video upload by MIDERA

"My daughter came up with the title to this, maybe 4-6 months ago, she just said something about the Island of the Moon, and I thought it was a really cool name. So - well, I guess that means she owns it. Obviously, she owns everything else of mine anyway, so it's not really a big deal.

This is a track I made using the Yamaha AN1x and Hologram Microcosm. This is a new patch I made on the AN1x, so it is not included in my soundset (for sale here: https://www.midera-artist.com/synthes...), but I am looking to make a new soundset, which would include this patch.

If you're interested in purchasing that soundset, please listen to the patches here prior to purchasing:" [posted here]
