"I thought this might be a fun experiment. I made this simple patch and allowed the Pet Rock to determine the rhythms over a 4-day period. Each day I made small changes to modulation, bpm, scale, etc, but the patch is relatively static. It sounds quite different from day to day.

"In the beginning of the 80's Kawai began manufacturing synthesizers under the company name of Teisco. Their early designs resulted in synths like the S110F above. The Synthesizer 110F is an upgraded S60-F, with dual analog VCO's and an updated look. It has a small but usable 37 note keyboard. Classic analog sawtooth, square, and triangle waveforms plus noise are on-board and can be mixed with external sounds run through the 110F's filters and envelopes. The oscillators can be de-tuned for duophonic textures or phatter leads and bass sounds.

There's plenty of modulation ability and classic analog effects in the 110F to really liven up the sound. There's an LFO which can modulate the VCO and VCF and can trigger the EGs. The VCF resonant low pass filter is great too. There's also a VCA section with Attack, Decay, Sustain and Release controls and finally there's a Hi-Pass filter. There is also a portamento effect, a ring modulator, vibrato and sample-and-hold for those classic analog synth effects and tricks! Lots of pretty blinking lights, a sleek and straight-forward layout and very nice analog bass, lead and synth sounds are all a part of the Synthesizer 110F experience."

An electronic music synthesizer is disclosed in which the sound producing chain includes a voltage-controlled oscillator, band-pass filter, low-pass filter, and amplifier in which selected control currents are supplied to low impedance points within the synthesizer circuit from a resistor matrix.

The synthesizer produces sounds approximating different acoustic musical instruments or having different tonal qualities by the application of a predetermined voltage to one of fifteen input columns of the resistor matrix with selected other columns being grounded. The currents provided by the resistor matrix in combination with other externally generated currents control the center frequency and bandwidth of the band-pass filter, the cutoff frequency of the low-pass filter, the gain of the voltage-controlled amplifier, the time constants of transient contour currents used to control the filters and amplifier, and the waveform produced by the voltage-controlled oscillator.

"The Moog Sonic Six is a 2-VCO duophonic synthesizer with a built-in speaker and a 4-octave, 49-note (C-C) keyboard. Each VCO can output sawtooth, triangle, and rectangle (pulse/square) waveforms as well as 2 "waveform generators." A "quality" knob adjusts the width of the rectangular waveform. White or pink noise is also available. The Sonic Six can be set for 3 keyboard modes; high note priority, low note priority, or duophonic. The Sonic Six can also be set to an alternate tuning across the keyboard (different interval between octaves of the keyboard). Portamento rate is controlled by a knob. The envelope section features a basic envelope, with variable control for attack and decay and a switchable release (follows decay) and sustain. It had a single VCF, low-pass voltage controlled filter. Two multimode LFOs are available. Their speed is independently variable and can be controlled by the envelope."

SERGE VC RESONANT EQ - A CLASSIC RELOADED

The legendary Serge Resonant EQ is a filterbank with ten bands, designed for electronic sound synthesis and processing, providing formant peaks and valleys similar to those found in acoustic instruments. It is one of the most unique sounding modules with an enormous spectral range. For the VC version, voltage control over each individual band has been added - an attenuverter (CV processor) allows to determine exactly whether the CV applied shall emphasize or decrease each filter band. Each band now also has an individual output.
The CV inputs can also be abused to feed audio signals - e.g. form an external oscillar or one of the individual outputs - into the system.
The eurorack version adds a two-channel mixer with attenuators and a Feedback section which allows to feed back the output signal. A powerful tool for sound processing but also for sound creation!
There are three equalized outputs: the two Comb outputs provide the sums of the two alternate filter bands while the two top outputs are the mix of all filter bands. Please note that there is no sharp separation between the bands, moving any frequency knob will have an influence on both Comb outputs.
