T-16 Semi-Modular Analog Synthesizer (based on ARP 2600) - DEMO #001
video upload by Nitecaller.
"The T-16 is a custom semi-modular synth largely based on the analog circuits of the original ARP 2600 and ARP Odyssey, with additional modifications and modules.
Here's an initial sound exploration I recorded shortly after completing the project (with no added effects or processing).
Special thanks to Stefan Hambleton for helping with the build of this instrument!
Check out my music: linktr.ee/nitecaller"
"After two years of designing, soldering, assembling and a looot of troubleshooting, this mighty thing is finally finished (aside from some minor tweaks). I can’t really believe it yet, but it’s extremely exciting nonetheless. I’m not entirely sure what to do now that it’s done, but I suppose it is time to start making some cool sounds and writing new music? Anyway, stay posted for more T-16 content!
And big thanks to @hot.chip5 @alyndyh and @xavier.joseph.dlmh for the help and support along the way."

video upload by Arman Bohn
"If you happen to be west of Tokyo in Chofu, around 9ish on April 14th, 2025 … you might hear something similar to this bubbling up near Shibasaki Station.
I hope I can work out all the details in the next few weeks!"
Switchback Descent
video upload by davidryle
"The great Vector Sequencer from Five12. I am using it for a pair of simple 16 step sequences to the 5U modular by way of CV and Gate.
The clock is derived from the Moon Modular 553 Midi to Clock module. I used the 1/96th division and a start gate to tap the sync24 feature in the Vector. I do have an STG bus but the sync bus cable wouldn't reach out of the cabinet to the Vector. The other clock pulses are from the STG Time Divider.
The first patch is run to a pair of Q206 VCO's and the Q150 filter and then on to the Echo Fix tape delay. Stereo panning was from the Q158 VCA++ and a Mega Ohm LFO. The Ian Fritz Hypster by Synthetic Sound Labs is a modulation source for the decay stage of the STG Envelop Generator.
The bass line patch is a pair of STG Oscillators to a pair of Mega Ohm MA20's in low and high pass series. The SSL Tube VCA is used to add some drive. The Frequency Central Stasis Leak stereo chorus finishes the patch chain.
The third patch is a drone pad line from the Dove D900 sequencer to the WTF Oscillator and the Oakley SVF in Notch mode. The slow center frequency modulation from a second Mega Ohm LFO does a nice job of combing through the upper mids of the complex waveforms out of the WTF. The last part of the patch is through the Empress Reverb in green ghost mode.
The Vector is the first edition mk1 but still has quite the feature set. I was using a modulation lane for transpose to the pair of pitch sequences. This same transpose sequence was replicated on the Q960 with a second Q960 as a divider. The pitch voltages for the WTF were combined in the unity mixer of the STG Active Multiples module. I did use the Q171 Quantixer Bank for precision stepping from the Q960.
All sounds captured at once in a single take to Cubase 12. Video edited in Final Cut Pro.
Special thanks to Ron Sunsinger for the loan of the Vector and Adam Fritsche for the Stasis Leak module."
Synth Show - Ep216 - Exploring the Sequential Trigon 6
video upload by GEOSynths
"The Trigon 6 by Sequential is the 3rd in the series of 4 Octave Synthesizers released by them over the past 10 years, which started with the Prophet 6, a very well recieved and great Sounding Synth, then the OB6 which is my personal favorite Synth of all time, for those lovely Notch and Frothy Pads/Strings. The Trigon 6 was released in 2022 and I made a Review when I got it.
My Review of the trigon 6 - [posted here]
So having released 3 Banks each for the Prophet 6 and OB6, I released 1 Bank for the Trigon 6 a couple of years ago and loved the range of sounds I was getting and how different it can be compared to the other 2. So, it’s coming back on the Desk for a bit more exploration!

MiMa's cover of Tim Follin - Chronos
video upload by mima85
"This is my own arrangement of the theme music of Chronos, a video game made for the venerable ZX Spectrum in the early 80ies. This piece is one of the early tunes from the great Tim Follin, and the term "great" is well deserved here because the ZX Spectrum's speaker by itself was capable to do just boring, monophonic buzzes. Tim, with some very clever programming, managed by software mixing to squeeze five, I mean FIVE channels of polyphony from that thing. So yes, 'great' is very appropriate for Tim.
Nonetheless, the original song is still a mosquitoes orchestra, five channels of polyphony but always of buzzing sounds, which many people can rightly find irritating to listen to. But this means that there's ample room of sound and stylistic choices when doing a re-arrangement. And for me, which I usually stick with the original arrangement and style when doing covers because I don't feel creative enough to come with something of my own, this was a cool exercise of creativity. Who knows, perhaps this means that some time in the future I'll be finally able to make some original music by myself :-)
As usual this video is not exactely a live performance, because the audio comes from the fully finished song. For the video I play the various parts like if I would've beein playing them live, paying attention to all the details (sound changes, execution, etc...) for the most realistic effect.
By the way, if you find yourself puzzled watching the pads I play on the OB-8 in the upper right corner, because chords with higher notes are being played in a lower octave, it's because I have a split patch with a version of the pad with slow attack on the keyboard's left side, and another version with fast attack on the right side. And the left side's patch is transposed up an octave so it matches the other one. This made playing those parts easier. That's one of the details I was talking about before.
As I am, like Tim, a big fan of progressive rock, I chose to do my cover in that style. I hope you're gonna enjoy it. As always, feel free to comment :-)"
