Oberheim TEO-5 | No-Talk Synth Jam & Feature Rundown & Sound Demo

video upload by Sidetrack Walker

"Looking for a no-talking synth performance & demo that’s atmospheric as well as educational? This Oberheim TEO-5 jam blends musical flow with a hands-on, captioned overview of the synth’s most compelling features.

Whether you’re here to explore the TEO-5’s sound design potential, discover its quirks and character, or just vibe to evolving textures, this video’s got you covered.

🎧 Headphones recommended. Recorded live with no external FX (except light limiting for loudness).

πŸ” What’s featured in the jam:
• Continuous arpeggiator in random mode
• On-the-fly envelope shaping
• SEM-style filter-state morphing (LP to notch)
• Through-zero FM (two intervals)
• Oscillator & waveform blending
• LFO modulation of filter & pulse width
• Internal BBD delay & reverb (w/ note on digital clicks)
• Overdrive for added bite
• And more—all woven into one hypnotic, plucky improvisation.

Captions highlight what’s happening as you listen—no talking, no cacti or cats, just sound and context."

David Lynch's Synth Gear Up for Auction

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

Apprenlty JULIEN*S auction house is auctioning off David Lynch's belongings.

Among the items you will some of studio equipment including the synths pictured here. It's interesting to see the gear he used. The Roland MKS-70 (JX10/JX-8P) used on Twin Peaks is not listed as I believe it was owned and by Angelo Badalamenti, not Lynch. I included his portable audio recording equipment, not as a synth, but as a possible sample source. Unfortunately the listing does not mention if there are any recordings present in them so keep that in mind if you bid. It would be a shame if they were removed.

Most of the items mention they were "owned and used by David Lynch in his personal recording studio."

Images in this post were captured in the order listed for each listing.

Jacking Circuit Tracks into Google Gemini AI—DAWless Chaos in Real-Time!

video upload by LucaTronico

"So… what happens when you hot-wire a Novation Circuit Tracks into Google Gemini Music AI (Lyria) over Web MIDI and tell them to play nice?

Answer: they don’t.

Instead you get a live, DAW-free roller-coaster of broken genres, AI hallucinations, surprise crashes, and the occasional moment of pure synth bliss. πŸ€–πŸŽ›️πŸ’₯

This isn’t a 'click-and-generate' demo—the AI is running in real time, riding (and sometimes derailing) every knob twist I throw at it.

Is it techno? Vaporwave? Polka-drum-&-bass? Nobody knows. But it’s weird, it’s raw, and it’s 100 % unrepeatable."

Patch Notes: Syncing To The Length Of A Gesture

video upload by Bela Platform

"Patch Notes is a series of instructional videos designed to help you get the most out of Gliss and provide a source of ideas for fuelling your own experiments and discoveries. Together we will explore possibilities opened by placing Gliss in the midst of a larger patch rather than directly to its final destination, by mixing signals to combine touch control with traditional modulation sources and connecting to unlikely destinations.

The updated Gliss firmware introduces the ability to sync events in your modular system to the length of a recorded gesture, and much more besides. Upgrade for free: https://bela.io/upgrade-gliss.html"

Exploring the Roland TR77 / Roland Rhythm 77

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.
video upload by Vintage Audio Institute Italia

"We thought we'd make a video before shipping out this beautiful drum machine.

It's one of our very favourites: it holds lots under the hood, it's a joy to play around with and the variety of rhythms and poly-rhythms frankly seems kind of endless.

The 2 and 4 beat section, which is a matrix of independent patterns, is a a cool and unique add-on that Roland incorporated in a few of its very early drum machines.

The individual drum-sound volume-controls gives you just enough sound sculpting possibilities to not care that the machines is not programmable.

The drum sounds themselves are wonderful, woody and organic awhile at the same time analog and electronic."

SN 458139 via this Reverb listing

"A favorite : Roland Rhythm 77 or TR 77 or the poor man’s CR78 but in our opinion the TR77 sounds better.

It also has individual volume controls for kick, hi-hats, snare and the guiro, an adjustable Fade out function - plus a separate, independent second rhythm section on a dial - as well as the possibility to play multiple rhythms at the same time.

Please check video of another unit we had available.

The Roland 77 has more features, sounds and rhythms than the similar-looking Acetone-branded drum machine.

This unit is in excellent condition, front panel looks almost new - but it has a small peel damage on the side panel visible in one of the photos.

220 V with Italian 3 prong connector - easily changeable to any connector"

"An American-made, analog drum machine with a distinctively woody tone and a remarkable feature no other drum machine posses - Modulation.

Swipe for a demonstration of how it operates [video previously posted here]

On the back is an audio input for modulating external instruments like guitar, organ or why not a string machine? Much like a side chain compressor, the external signal gets muted by the individual drum hits of the rhythm pattern engaged, almost like a tremolo but rhythmically syncopated.

There’s a slider to control the level of audible drums or instrument input signal.

10 drum sounds and 16 rhythm patterns are available to the user.

No individual volumes are at our disposal but a slider to emphasize the brighter or bass-y drum sounds.

Excellent condition unit with a small bump on the front wood panel.

110 Volt power with standard American power connector."

Vermona ER9 DDR analog drum machine / ER-9 DRM SN 140456

"Very cool looking and sounding analog rhythm box with individual volumes for each drum sound for balancing or completely eliminating individual sounds.

Nice and organic and not unlike the Elka Drummer One, especially the maracas sounds like the Drummer One hi-hat, scroll for a video made with the very unit on offer. [video previously posted here]

The Vermona ER9 was serviced and is in excellent condition with minor wear and it was modified with an RCA audio output connector in the back instead of the outdated DIN connector."

The ultimate memory cartridge for your vintage Roland gear

video upload by Espen Kraft

"The ultimate memory cartridge for your old Roland gear. It's equivalent of 64 Roland M-64C carts. Fully compatible with all the Roland gear that could use these. It's also battery free using F-RAM tech and as such i will hold the stored data for 100 years or more without ever needing a battery.

Check it out here: https://taiwanrider.com/ocart/index.p...

The music is done with only my custom Alpha Juno patch banks and it's all recorded in one take, track by track. All improvised. No editing or MIDI involved. The video shows the tracks as they're being recorded, in real time. Reverb is Valhalla SuperMassive on some of the patches."
