Integrating a grand piano and a modular synthesizer for an electroacoustic piece.

video upload by Frap Tools

"The voyage is coming to an end! Today Francesco guides us through a captivating electroacoustic piece that integrates the sound and articulation of an electric piano into a complex patch. The piece is not simply a juxtaposition of piano and synthesizer, but rather a balanced environment where the acoustic and electronic sounds complement and influence each other."

Divergent Waves Sycamore playing Four Seas and Friends

video upload by Molten Music Technology

"A quick demo of my newly built Sycamore melody generator. It's running into the Four Seas wavetable thingy, which is being filtered via the Riot VCF, into the Trifecta effects. Meanwhile an Ona VCO is pumping the second channel through a Gemini Vintage filter. There's some modulation too!"
Divergent Waves - Sycamore Demo

video upload by Divergent Waves Mar 1, 2024

"Sycamore is a looping, quantized, randomised sequencer with 45 scales to choose from, as well as a few tricks up its sleeve...

Sycamore is based on the (Cancelled) Mutable Instruments Seeds module, which itself was likely an exploration of Turing Machine like sequencing with a little more control."

"Sycamore is a random looping sequencer with quantization and a wide range of scales. The quantized loop can be shifted, mutated, tweaked and otherwise fiddled with in a number of interesting ways.

With CV over almost all the internal parameters, Sycamore allows for tight control over the loop, while maintaining performability with comfortably spaced knobs.

Some advanced features are accessible through a one-layer menu to allow for more deep tweaking of harmonies, delay, and scale quantization - however, Sycamore is perfectly usable without touching these at all!

Sycamore makes use of CircuitPython for its program code, allowing for easy modification and tweaking should you wish to do so. The module also features an i2c expansion port reserved for future use, or for you own hacking.

Patching Panda Rewire | A very clever switch and signal router

video upload by Tom Churchill

"Patching Panda’s Rewire is a fresh take on a 4-by-4 rotating sequential switch, with built-in attenuverters, a voltage-controllable clock divider, and some clever ways to control the switching. This video is sponsored by Patching Panda, and in it I run through Rewire’s panel and controls before breaking down seven patch examples."

Chapters:
00:00 Intro & patch previews
02:27 Rewire overview
04:04 Re-routing sequences
09:25 Switching FX chains
11:18 Switching filter outputs
12:53 Switching trigger patterns
15:26 Rewire as a sequencer
19:59 Rewire as a graphic VCO
23:31 Rewire as a modulation routing hub

REWIRE is not only a 4×4 sequential switch but a signal router that lets you rewire your modular patch on the fly without ever touching a cable. Designed for dynamic signal flow, generative mayhem and performance precision, REWIRE gives you four inputs and four independent outputs, each with level control, switching logic and real time manipulation.

Whether you’re routing audio, CV, or triggers, REWIRE transforms your system into a living, shifting network of connections. Clocked, resettable, shiftable and divisible, this isn’t just a switch it’s a patch programmer, a performance brain and a creative playground in just 8HP.

Examples of use:

Rotate four LFOs through four destinations for evolving modulation.

Dynamically shift a melody between four voices.

Create generative drum grooves by remapping triggers.

Step an audio signal through four FX chains rhythmically.

Use REWIRE as a manual preset bank with the faders alone.

Melting Point Vactrol Filter

video upload by Ground Grown Circuits

"Short demo of a sequence running through the Melting Point vactrol filter. Now available on my Reverb page"

via this Reverb listing

"THIS IS A FULL DIY KIT

This kit includes everything required to build the Melting Point vactrol filter. This is a character filter that will add a lot of color to the sound.
There is a low-pass and hi-pass audio input, an audio output, 2 CV inputs and a variable level “Strike” CV input.

The feedback/resonance will begin self oscillating slightly past noon, and will continue to add more drive and color if you push it further.
Trim pot on the rear allows adjustment of CV response.

Includes a power cable and 4x M3 screws.

There is a qr code in the kit that will take you to a page with build instructions.

Please note the knobs included in the kit are different than the knobs in the finished module image."

Sequencing a glitchy pattern feat XOR Nerdseq - Schlappy Patching 2025 EP.18

video upload by SCHLAPPI ENGINEERING and Stazma

"New year for Schlappy Patching!

Hey there!
Today I'll show you how I used an external sequencer (XOR Electronics's Nerdseq) to sequencer some glitchy beats and a bassline on the Schlappy Patching system.
This might of interest for those who are curious about how to use an external sequencer with their Schlappi modules.

Have fun!!"

A simple Bandpass filter trick you should know.

video upload by Monotrail Tech Talk

"Zappy, croaky, and squeaky resonant filter sounds aren’t for me. But I do like the texture, crunch and air a lot of resonant filters can add to a sound. In this video I show a simple trick combining a band- and low-pass filter, allowing you to detach a high resonant point from low pass filter modulation."

Dark Industrial modular synth performance by Stephen McCaul

video upload by Noise Engineering

"Here's another dark industrial modular synth performance by Chief Noisemaker Stephen McCaul.

The bottom Eurorack case is a six voice case with Incus Iteritas Alia (2), Debel Iteritas Alia, Tymp Legio, Manis Iteritas Alia, Virt Iter Legio + Ampla Legio.

There is a Librae Legio for the percussion submix (paralleling the main mix) and an Electus Versio on a send. The rhythm sequencing is from an experimental prototype that isn't really product worthy.

Pitch sequencing comes from Opp Ned. And the Xer Mixa mixer ties it all together.

The top case is an effects rig for another project but Stephen used a Fala Versio and a Yester Versio for some additional effects."

Drummertime and Brainstep Acid Jam 2

video upload by Tubbutec

"Jam with Drummertime and Brainstep in a small Palette case.
Demonstrating how such a small case can be suffient to get a nice Acid jam running and shows the live performance features of Drummertime.
https://tubbutec.de/drummertime/

Drummertime is controlling the 6m0d6. We have 3 patterns that are arranged in a 8-pattern song.
In one of the patterns, a flam eefect is triggered.
I am using the MUTE mode for performance and change to random play mode and back to normal at some point.
Brainstep is generating filter and VCA envelopes +, LFOs,
one of Brainstep's LFOs is used as the VCO (!).
Additional drum an vocal sounds are also generated by Brainstep.

0:11 Muting and unmuting instruments

Turismo - Environment Sound Design

video upload by ALM TV

"Our Eurorack modular workstation the 'Turismo' is well suited for sequencing beats and groove box style patching but the versatile system can fit equally well into less structured environments. In this patch we explored using the Turismo for realistic environmental sound design, making use of it's plethora of utilites and interesting sound shaping capabilities to create a custom environment with realistic rain and thunder sounds entirely synthesized by the system.

For a more detailed description of this patch, please see our full writeup on the Busy Circuits blog: https://busycircuits.com/blogs/latest..."

The Queen of Industrial Grunge Got an Upgrade — Sophisticated Dirt!

video upload by Cinematic Laboratory

"#Elmyra2 v2.4 — What’s New and Improved Sound Engine

Higher sample rate and improved wavetable resolution → noticeably cleaner top end. New wavetables added. Overall mix saturation refined, with “soft” (122) now default. Knob value stability and tuning precision improved.

Filters
New comb filter (codes 3321/3322). RESO = damping, CUTOFF = delay time, with optional pitch tracking. Ladder filter reworked — now true multimode (LP/BP/HP) with higher quality. Ladder LP (331) is the new default filter. State-variable filter retains LP/BP/HP modes (341–343) but with improved gain staging, resonance, and cutoff ranges.

Delay & Reverb
Delay fully re-implemented → cleaner feedback, no lock-ups.
Added proper reverb engine controllable with delay knobs.
Code 441 = delay (default), 442 = new reverb, 4411 = legacy lo-fi reverb.
TIME = decay, FDBK = color, MIX = blend.
Dry/wet crossfade curve improved for smoother transitions.

Modulation
New MODP: oscillator hard-sync (orange LED, position 5).
MOD controls the synced oscillator pitch.
LFO1 knob-motion recording (code 2413) — record live movement of LFO rate. Sequencer output to LFO1 possible (243v).
Per-voice sequencer clock divider (11sv).
Digitally controlled envelopes in multiple short modes (221v → very short … 224v → disable). Detune MODP range expanded.

Scales & Chromatic Mode
New musical scales for chromatic mode: major, minor, major pentatonic, minor pentatonic (CHRM + 11–14). Scale selection now unified under the CHRM button. Knob-to-pitch mapping in chromatic mode is now linear and exact.

User Interface & Workflow

LED feedback overhaul — REC and PLAY flash to confirm code entry, sequence record, mute, and drone states. Quick mute/unmute voice (MODP + PG long press). Quick octave switch (MODP + double-tap PG).
Pink MODP LED at startup identifies firmware 2.4.
Touchpad LEDs more reliable during operation.
Drone and mute response feels snappier.

Under-the-hood Fixes
State-variable filter crash fixed (previously triggered by fast cutoff modulation).
Improved detune, filter, and delay behaviors under modulation load.
Sequencer timing more consistent with internal clock."
