More will follow tomorrow. Be sure to see the MMTA SYNTHFEST label below for all coverage of the event.
On display (if I missed anyone let me know! This is from the sign-up list):
Update: Larry Kleinke aka Computer Controlled and Mr.AcidMachine as well as the table map. Note the center tables were spaced apart at the event.
"NOTE: slow development that starts out very soft with very low frequencies and gets louder. Be careful with the volume of your playback system. The use of a sub-woofer is recommended.
This is all just a single lab/test bench oscillator processed through both a small 5U modular and a guitar pedal board along with some melodies hinted at with a small keyboard synthesizer with additional processing.
Small 5U modular:
Free State FX - Supra Resonator (aka MI - Rings)
Modcan - E-Follower 45B (not used)
Encore Electronics - Universal Event Generator
Modcan - Digital Delay 59B
Moon Modular - 594 Multiples
Test bench oscillator:
Leader LAG-120B Audio Generator
Photos by Larry Kleinke were taken at my live performance on December 13th 2017. For more info on Larry and his excellent photographic work check out his CyberMind Photography page: https://cybermindphotography.myportfo.."
Incredible shot featuring George Mattson reaching the top of his custom EML modular (See the Mattson EML label below for more posts on the system). That is one massive system with some custom work from George.
The system further to the right belongs to John L Rice and includes modules from Moon Modular, Modcan, and others. I'll have some close-up pics coming, and of course check out the previous post for some close-ups via Larry Kleinke aka Computer Controlled.
Be sure to see the MMTA SYNTHFEST label below for all posts on the event.
The 3D Waves NanoBod is a custom replacement case for the MicroFreak minus keys. You can find them on Reverb here. Below are some pics from the listing.
"Finally, someone has made a synthesizer with a keybed that we didn't have to chop in half in order to turn it into a module. Arturia did something really clever by making the module on the MicroFreak removable, all you have to do is unscrew 8 screws from the bottom the body.
The only downside to removing the keyboard is that the electronics are exposed and the PCB board serves as the base. That's where the Nano Bod comes in. Using the 8 screws from before, the Nano Bod attaches to your MicroFreak which will help keep dust out and provide a solid footing for your new module.
High quality 3D printed module body
Designed specifically for the Arturia MicroFreak
Recessed holes for rubber feet
Webbed design for added strength and a unique look"
Some pics from this year's Signals Synth Meet hosted by Patchwerks in Seattle, WA. Hover over the image and click on the right arrow to flip through pics.
Roland showed their new System 500 eurorack modules by Malekko, it is now official. Industrial Music Elecectronics, aka The Harvestman, had their new Piston Honda mkII with built-in graphic display. Synthwerks, a Seattle native, were showing their modules. As is tradition, a ton of people brought their own gear to share with others. You'll spot a Fairlight from synthroom.com (click through for a great shot of the system at Valley of Fire State Park, Nevada), an EMS SYNTHI, a DATO DUO and some old school rotary phones (not sure what they did as I didn't get a chance to check them out), some alternative/diy controllers, and of course plenty of eurorack, 5U (John L Rice), and Buchla modular. Also the only MATRIXSYNTH military hat in existence! :) It's owned by Larry Kleinke, aka Computer Controlled, who had the Roland gear, white Korg Arp Odyssey desktop, and Abstrakt Instruments Avalon.
"Larry Kleinke aka Computer Controlled presents a live, on the fly set recorded with nothing but a Roland TR-8, TB-3, TB-303 and x0xb0x. Recorded in one take, all drum programming was done on the fly from an empty pattern.
This is the first Area 303 podcast, all of which will be downloadable for free."

Som pics of the Seattle Synth Meet 2016 hosted on Sunday, January 17, at Substantial.
Great venue and great hosts. Big thanks to Tom, Cindy and Shawn for hosting!
Update: and some pics via Larry Kleinke, aka Computer Controlled:
Some pics via Larry Kleinke on Facebook. Click through for set. If you aren't on Facebook, you can check out the set on flickr here. These are some really nice shots.
This is a follow-up to my twelve minute walkthrough, but only two minutes, and it starts with Hans Lindaur of wifimidi.com/ (aka Jabrudian Industries LLC), makers of The Missing Link wireless OSC to MIDI device. You can find more info on the device at wifimidi. In short you can connect your iOS device to it wirelessly and use it to transmit OSC or OSC to MIDI messages to your external gear. Many of my iPad editors for TouchOSC are mapped to The Missing Link for wireless control. You'll find other templates on their site.
In the video you'll also see the rare Technosaurus Effexon effects unit, Microcon synth, and two Cyclodon sequencers. To the right you will see a custom break-0ut box Hans built for the units. The video moves on to Larry Kleinke aka Computer Controlled's table and back around to Vidgod aka Gary Bauder and the Cosmic Tumblers.
"Two SH-101 lines interacting with each other. One is a real SH-101, the other is D16's LuSH-101 being sequenced by the Arturia BeatStep Pro. The BSP is also sending triggers to the SH-101's clock input to trigger the sequencer."
