Behringer Spice 50 Modular Patches, Seqs, Samples Sound Demo

video upload by Anton Anru

"'Undertones' is a collection of 50 patches for the semi-modular synthesizer Behringer Spice: chords, sequences, basses, leads, plucks, drones, percussion, and FXs.
📀 The presets feature various colors: warm, clean, soft, deep as well as punchy, dark, bright, noisy, detuned, and distorted.

📦 Get these patches: https://antonanru.sellfy.store/p/spic...

🗄 All patches are divided into three groups: SEQ (32 patches), KBD (10 patches), and TRG (8 patches).
SEQ patches use the Spice sequencer with an internal or external clock. This group contains melodic patterns, chords, and bass lines. The play button is on.
KBD patches are designed for use with an external sequencer/arpeggiator, DAW, or MIDI keyboard. This group includes leads, plucks, chords, and drones. The play button is off.
TRG patches use the Spice sequencer, but sound is only heard when the TRIGGER button is pressed. These patches don’t trigger envelopes for each step (EG button is off), so envelopes must be launched manually. This group contains FXs and experimental timbres. The play button is on.

Lese - Glow (Short Demo)
video upload by Lese Audio Technologies

"What started as a simple granular effect blossomed to a fully fledged granulation engine.

Filled with what you would expect from a granular effect, Glow takes it further, with feedback, externally controllable retriggering, and, through the use of a clever optimization technique, mass granulation, allowing for up to 150 grains to be processed at once.

Glow features three grain engines, three slots for effects post-granulation, four highly customizable modulators, and three dimensions of macro control. This allows you to create highly complex patches, perfect for anything from subtle glitchy background effects, to blurred atmospheres with enough detail to take center stage in your productions.

Fragmentation Engine At glow's core is three independently controlled granular processors. With visual controls reminiscent of aircraft HUDs, these processors take in your audio, and return a jittery, fractured representation of it.

While the typical granulation method is offered through the use of Stream Mode, Glow's other method, Cloud Mode uses intelligent optimizations internally to allow each engine to process up to 50 grains overlaid upon eachother for an effect previously unheard of. (3x50=150)

The output of each of these engines can also be fed back into itself to be further processed. This feature is used extensively in some of the demo presets to create multilayered "pseudo-reverbs". Your Modulation, Your Way

Glow's four modulators go beyond what is usually available in effects processors.

Our system allows you to work off of a selection of "primitive" shapes, and click & drag extra points onto the line to get it controlled exactly how you want it. When ramps are created, you can drag your mouse over the circular dot to specify the curve of the ramp for even further shaping.

Additionally, you can select the pencil icon to draw shapes directly; Specify the grid snapping, the shape to draw, and then drag to paint any shape you want! Multidimensional Peformer

Presets are meant to be expressive. Glow features a multidimensional macro system, allowing you to control three parameters at a time in the Perform section with a "Macro Cube". You can even add a short description to each dimension to remember what it's supposed to do. Freeze Control

Glow is designed to be frozen. Either control freezing & unfreezing manually, or use either the rate retrigger mode (synchronized to the DAW or free-time), or the envelope-based retrigger (and the source retriggering the audio can even be external through use of your DAW's sidechain routing)."

"Rare 1987 Casio SK-5 8-bit sampling keyboard custom modified with a 50 point patch bay. This is a haunted, lo-fi, challenging but rewarding instrument which will inspire any alternative electronic musician and sound designer. Nothing is obvious here- the keyboard itself doesn't always function as you'd expect while the patch bay opens up a world of experimental audio possibilities, far outreaching Casio's original intentions- remember, it isn't broken, it's just weird.

When the patch matrix is implemented, an array of warped sounds and effects are generated; applying multiple connections produces an increasingly complex range of cyclic, pitch dropped, fractured, tonal, bit crushed, flanged, distorted, aliasing digital noise and bizarre sequences which affect the presets, onboard rhythms (speed rushes of laser, lion and drum samples) and any sound you record using the sampling feature. The SK 5 is also very good at producing complex drones and atmospheres which can be developed using the five included patch cables- these can also be stacked for further sonic manipulation.

Specs:
Sample reverse and loop functions
8 PCM tones: piano, vibraphone, dog, surf, trumpet, organ, chorus, flute.
10 rhythms: rock 1/2, disco 1/2, 16 beat, march, bossa nova, samba, slow rock, waltz.
Holds 2 samples: 8-bit PCM, 9.38kHz, approx. 1.4 seconds + 4 samples @ 0.7 seconds.
Sample tune +_ 1 octave
4 sample pads
4 rhythm pads: laser, lion, hi bongo, lo bongo
496 step sequencer
32 keys
6 envelope options"

"BLEASS Fusion is a unique and powerful waveshaping tool that harnesses the limitless flexibility of wavetables to unleash sumptuously smooth saturations, disgracefully dirty distortions, and maximally mad mashups.

BLEASS has designed Fusion to be one of the – if not the – most versatile and adaptable distortion and saturation plugins available today, able to completely change its entire tone and character in an instant. The magic comes from the way in which wavetables define the sonic results of processing, and so empower the plugin with the versatility to satisfy your every sonically-destructive whim.

Whether you want to spice-up your audio with the lightest sprinkle of sizzle, smother it in a luxuriant fluffy blanket, or shatter it into fractured shards, BLEASS Fusion provides the perfect waveshaping weaponry for the job. And should you find that the 58 included wavetables don’t quite fulfil your distortion dreams, importing your own custom wavetables is simply a matter of dropping a file into a folder.

A pair of multi-mode resonant filters allow BLEASS Fusion to focus its fury on particular frequencies, or can be used to tame its more extreme excesses. And with a full complement of modulators that add movement and dynamism to your sound, a huge palette of expressive, rhythmic and evolving distortions are just waiting to be explored."

Spitfire Audio Fractured Strings - A New Force Of Nature

video upload by Spitfire Audio

"Award-winning composer Paul Thomson takes you to the edge of the world and beyond with Fractured Strings. Created in collaboration with Hans Zimmer’s prestigious scoring collective Bleeding Fingers Music and London’s finest string players, this small ensemble library features an eight-piece string ensemble and two soloists, brought to life in the unparalleled acoustics of AIR Lyndhurst Hall, complete with 15 signal paths.

Fractured Strings introduces an innovative approach to articulations that delivers inspirational surprises through intervallic performances and new modal colours with unparalleled depth and realism. And the press release:

"Spitfire Audio works with Bleeding Fingers to forge FRACTURED STRINGS as a new kind of chamber string library introducing a novel approach to articulations

“Early on in the process of scoring Frozen Planet II, we looked at the patterns of splintering ice and the individuality of snowflakes; in creating FRACTURED STRINGS, we worked closely with the Spitfire [Audio] team and London’s best players to represent these natural phenomena in musical performances — creating a toolkit that became the foundation of our score for the show.”

- Frozen Planet II composers James Everingham & Adam Lukas, 2022

LONDON, UK: created in close collaboration with Bleeding Fingers Music, the Emmy Award-winning and BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) Award-nominated composer collective, hand-selected and mentored by Hollywood hotshot Hans Zimmer (as a multi-Academy Award- and GRAMMY® Award-winning film composer of some serious standing), sound-specialising British music technology company Spitfire Audio is proud to announce availability of FRACTURED STRINGS — itself introducing a novel approach to articulations as a new kind of chamber string library featuring a 10-piece ensemble inspired by the Arctic and brought to life in the unparalleled acoustics of Lyndhurst Hall in London’s legendary AIR Studios, served up as an AAX-, AU-, VST2-, and VST3-compatible (NKS-supporting) proprietary plug-in with 15 signal paths and infinite intervallic possibilities, designed to infuse any gestures, leaps, and cellular motif anyone might compose with warmth, colour, and humanity — as of September 22…

Being billed as a journey through Earth’s frozen worlds, home to unique and remarkable wildlife, it is little wonder that Santa Monica, CA, USA-based Bleeding Fingers Music were looking for a library that could not only support scenes of frozen silence but also scenes of action, tension, crisis, and drama when composers Hans Zimmer, James Everingham, and Adam Lukas started scoring the small screen wonder that is Frozen Planet II, the 2022-broadcast British nature documentary series co- produced by the BBC and The Open University as a sequel to 2011’s Frozen Planet. Putting it this way, James Everingham and Adam Lukas collectively comment: “Early on in the process of scoring Frozen Planet II, we looked at the patterns of splintering ice and the individuality of snowflakes; in creating FRACTURED STRINGS, we worked closely with the Spitfire [Audio] team and London’s best players to represent these natural phenomena in musical performances — creating a toolkit that became the foundation of our score for the show.”

Serious demands demand serious solutions, so a small section of London’s finest string players were brought by the Spitfire Audio team tasked with bringing Bleeding Fingers Music’s requirements to life in the unparalleled acoustics of Lyndhurst Hall — home to many a blockbuster film scoring session by Hans Zimmer and many more — in London’s legendary AIR Studios. The ten players concerned closely collaborated with the Bleeding Fingers Music team and Spitfire Audio’s own collective of composers, conductors, and engineers there to create a vast suite of intricate decorations, leaps, and swells.

So who better to formally introduce the finished FRACTURED STRINGS, then, than Spitfire Audio co-founder Paul Thomson — truly no stranger to the wonderful world of music-to-picture scoring himself as an English composer for film, television, and video games, as well as a music technologist to boot: “This is our latest collaboration with Bleeding Fingers [Music], and it is a set of unique and original content made for the BBC show Frozen Planet II. It showcases a huge amount of string articulations and gestures — wispy, ice-y, ethereal fragments that we have never before recorded, and that you can't play very easily with existing string libraries.”

New MIDIMini Demos by Studio Electronics

Chords, Rings, and Feedback Wars video by StudioElectronics

"It’s all about the gain staging in this discrete beast: processing and managing the relative levels in each step of the V’s audio signal flow to allow for the introduction of desired noise and distortion. Clean is easy.

Feedback (loop), FBK (feedback) Gain, Amp Drive, individual Oscillator levels, and the main Volume all interact and alter one cherished fact after another; the 24dB ladder to heaven is also… everything, except for the burnished bookends, the dualistic dynamism of synthesizer tone: Ringmod and Crossmod. Fans of our ATC know this verity well–enjoy in somewhat better fidelity on our SoundCloud page.

Spoiler Alert! it really starts to get layered and multi dimensional and very satisfying, at around 7:27. Now go back and listen to the whole thing from the beginning.

Treatment:
Just a touch of compression from our vintage dbx 163X during tracking, into the my marvelous DP10 (will never switch), and a spot of verb in the last few seconds—the balance is pristine and massive Midimini V30."
