Soundpaint Juniper 1982 (Vintage Roland Jupiter 8) Sample Library Review/Overview and Demo!
video upload by Keith Crosley
"Set the Wayback Machine for the early 80s, because we're taking a look at Soundpaint Juniper 1982 -- a sampled recreation of the Roland Jupiter 8 -- via a cheeky demo track that uses Juniper, Gforce Software's Icon Drum (Linn 9000) and Oberheim DMX drum machine plugins, and our old pal Arturia Pure LoFi! Along the way, I drop some 80s-vintage synth programming tips, make the usual goof-ups, and talk about some of my latest inspirations. So grab your analog filter and hold on for an 80s-A-GO-GO episode of your favorite talky synthesizer content show!

video upload by Keith Crosley
"It's a trifecta of new (and new-to-me) wavetable synthesizers! Your old pal Keith got a 1010music nanobox Fireball synth for Christmas, so of course I made a new wavetable collection for it. Let's take a look and listen! Also, we'll talk about Arturia Pigments 7, and look at the crazy wavetable features of a new super-synth, ultra.audio's... Ultra! Also, I talk about "Microwaved" wavetables, sample fukkery, show off one of my Lego minifigures, and introduce you to my new favorite band. High on Modulation: Programming Classic 80s Brass Sounds, Synthesis as a Folk Art, and More
video upload by Keith Crosley
"Let's get inspired by vintage VHS synth nerdery and dig into some modulation mayhem! I accidentally make a reaction video to a wonderfully unhinged 80s Steve Porcaro synth-programming tape, explain Korg multi/poly modulation (hey there @robst247 ), and put some of Steve's ideas into action with a classic Toto-style “Africa” brass with Arturia Pure LoFi. I also talk about how I think about synthesizer programming, answer the question, “What is synthesis?” and talk about synth programming as a folk art. So grab a Coke (or other stimulant of choice) and join me for a MODULATION-A-GO-GO episode of your sniff favorite talky synthesizer content show!"

Oberheim Matrix 12 Analog 12-Voice Synthesizer, with deluxe custom ATA flight case
Note: links to listings are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.
video upload by moogfoundation
via this Reverb listing
See if you can spot the Matrix-6 screen. I think that was accident. Capturing it for posterity. :)
"A towering icon of analog synthesis! Nicely restored, beautifully preserved, and built to tour or record for another lifetime.
This Oberheim Matrix-12 is in very good condition, has been restored by Rosensound, with some recent restorations performed by synth legend and former Oberheim engineer Marcus Ryle. It comes in a new, custom-built, heavy-duty flight case. It’s a US version, upgraded with a new control panel overlay from Sweet Discrete (UK) for a clean, sharp aesthetic. Everything functions beautifully; a truly top-shelf example of one of the most powerful analog polysynths ever built.
Cosmetic notes: the Sweet Discrete panel overlay LED registration is a bit off in a few places, so some LEDs look slightly off center (as shown in an included close-up image). Performance is not affected. The new overlay generally looks beautiful, but not strictly 10/10. There is also some stubborn tape residue on a few of the keys which can also be seen in the photos.
Details:
12 voices, each with 2 analog oscillators, multimode filter, and extensive routing
Legendary 96-point modulation matrix; no menus, just raw power
Velocity and pressure sensitivity, 5-stage envelopes, and complex LFOs
Massive analog presence with surgical control
US voltage model (no step-down needed)
New road-ready flight case included, $600+ value
Restored by Rosensound and Marcus Ryle, two of the most trusted names in analog synth servicing
New Sweet Discrete panel overlay from the UK; clean, legible, and sharp
Used by Hans Zimmer, Keith Emerson, Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys, and countless electronic pioneers, the Matrix-12 is the pinnacle of analog polyphonic design; often called “the last great analog monster.”
30% of this sale supports the Bob Moog Foundation, preserving the history of synthesis and inspiring future creators."

Sequential Take 5: "Taking The Five" patches HD Demo - No Talking
video upload by Stefano Daino
"This is the demo of several patches included in the 'Taking the Five' Vol 1 & Vol 2, two libraries each of 64 sounds for the Sequential Take 5 synthesizer.
These patches aim to reproduce the sounds that characterized the music performed with the analog polyphonic synthesizers serie in the '80s, as well as the sounds that are only possible with a new generation analog synthesizer, which have the advantage of touch-sensitive, aftertouch keyboards, which have powerful programmable modulation matrices, and excellent built-in effects.
The 'Taking the Five' Vol 1 & Vol 2 for the Sequential Take 5 are available at https://www.dsp-quattro.com/dspquattr..."

This Booklet from 1984 Taught Keith Crosley (Almost) Everything He Knows about Synthesizers

"This little booklet from 1984 taught me (almost) everything I know about synthesis. Let's go back to basics... and back to the future... with the Casio CZ-101 manuals and see what we can learn about the basics of learning synthesizer programming and sound design.
