"Coming in hot after Hieroglyphic's first release 'Plume' here we have OPALINA which is a stereo spectral playground. It's billed as a filter network, with triple band pass resonator modes and an isolator multi mode network. It has multi band outputs for creative modular processing, with the including expander it also has specific (and stereo) low mid and high band inputs. Loads to go at, but distilled down into exploring 3 patches here for our 3 PATCHES series of videos."

Stereo state-variable filter networks configurable in two modes. RESONATOR is a triple bandpass alignment, emphasizing resonant peaks and formants. ISOLATOR is a cascaded state-variable topology with variable mid-bandwidth for use as resonant crossover.

It's a smart zero crossing and zero difference dual switch module ... a mouthful maybe, but it's two channels of intelligent switching for audio or CV with simple to use options for anything from making mutes, manual gates, click free audio switching, modulation waveform chaining and a whole host more.

Whether it's dual parallel channels, series filer routings, mono to stereo, stereo in and out or even mono filtering with a separate filter modulator (a filter modulator? What? - heads up, it's ace!). Check out the patches below."



"Double Bubble is a 16HP Eurorack dual analog multi‑mode filter designed for creative sound design and flexible signal processing. Each channel features an analog filter core that can operate in one of four modes – Low‑Pass, High‑Pass, Band‑Pass, or Notch. The input of Channel A is normalled to Channel B so its easy to create stereo filter patches from a mono sound source.

The two channels of Double Bubble can run as independent dual mono filters or be linked together for stereo operation. The filters can also be routed in serial configuration to create more complex signal paths such as a variable width bandpass or notch phasing effects. The SPACING control and wide range of CV inputs give deep modulation possibilities such as dynamic formant style filtering.

The FEEDBACK and XMOD (cross‑modulation) controls add further interaction between the two channels, ranging from subtle harmonic enhancement at low settings to more extreme, self‑modulating textures when increased. The dedicated V/OCT inputs for each channel allow the filters to function as FM oscillators or tone sources when pushed into self‑oscillation. This flexibility allows the Double Bubble to cover a wide range of roles, from precision cascading filter patches to dynamic stereo filtering and experimental feedback adventures!

"Here we have Ferry Island Modular's first release 'Four Seas', which is designed, engineered and manufactured in Finland. It's a real power house of a sound source, suiting to quickly grabbing some waves to patch with or for deep sound design tweaking. A Modern Classic Eurorack LPG New & Improved in STEREO!! // Stereo State Gate Stereo Field from SSF

"Here we have the new 'stereo field' version of the Steady State Gate from SSF (Steady State Fate). It's a revamped circuit design with added features and new stereo functions that builds on what I think is a bit of a modern classic, the Steady State Gate from 2022. It's a re imagining and expanded LPG or low pass gate that has on board wave shaping, versatile filtering options and stereo field (stereo image, creation, control and modulation thereof) controls. Multimode Tube Filter, Saturator & Beyond! // VAMP from Apollo View Modular

"With Vamp Apollo View modular took the early Korg MS-20 and MS-10 filter designs, which favoured non-linear character over stability and control, they added more character with a tube input saturation stage and tube resonance feedback path, further output clipping stage options and then designed in modern stability and control. I joke in the video the filter is so rubbery it might as well be wearing a gimp mask. Vamp is also multimode with low pass, band pass and high pass modes with routable pre/post VCA and gain option, smart normalled CV options and prevision circuitry to turn it into a full single module tube voice, killer kick drum and more.

VAMP
8HP Multi-Mode LP/BP/HP Sallen-Key Filter with Tube Saturation & Distortion

VAMP is a multi-mode analogue filter that gives you low-pass, band-pass, and high-pass responses in a compact 8HP design. At its heart lies a classic Sallen-Key topology supercharged with real vacuum tube (12AU7) saturation and multiple stages of clipping, letting you move seamlessly from smooth, hi-fi filtering to snarling, overdriven character.

One half of the tube is used to saturate the input, while the other half provide MS-20-inspired resonance limiting (tube, not diodes). With FLOW placing the VCA pre-tube or post-filter, and FANGS selecting Off / Soft / Hard output clipping, VAMP ranges from subtle warmth to ferocious harmonic destruction.
