Syncing Volca and TD3 Tabletop Synths with Syinsi 1U Tile Modules

video upload by SYINSI

"A tabletop jam syncing a Korg Volca Sample II with a Korg Volca Beats and a Behringer TD-3 with three separate CLOCK DIVIDERS feed by a CLOCK GENERATOR.

A 'mult' (Syinsi Signal Clone) is used to share the clock signal from the CLOCK GENERATOR, and another "mult" to resynchronize the clocks at the start of every bar to keep everything in sync even if the clocks are using different divisors.

A button is used to start/stop the clocks all at once so they always start in sync.

By having three separate clocks it's possible to have all the instruments on different time scales, yet all are kept in sync so eventually they all land at the start of the bar at the same time.

Making-Of the EuroTile Backing Track

Published on Mar 16, 2019 SYINSI

"A little modular jam composed in a video editor instead of a DAW.

Audio was recorded directly to the video camera above the table.

The keyboard was sending a 140bpm clock as well as CV to the EuroTile modulars. I jammed around and recorded the bits that didn't completely suck.

In the DAW --er-- editor (Vegas) I brought the tracks in and muted the video while they were cut down into segments and loops. I locked the timeline in the editor to 4/4 bars and 140bpm so it would be easier to line everything up and keep everything in sync.

After everything was mixed, I un-muted the video, then arranged them into the grid so they would jump into existence whenever their audio track was playing."

EuroTile - Modular System for Eurorack 1U Tile modules

Published on Mar 15, 2019 SYINSI

"EuroTile is a complete, compact modular instrument built around the popular 1U Tile format."

via SYINSI

"1U Tiles are small modules typically used with the Eurorack modular format to add utilities in rows across a modular system. We use 1U Tiles to create all of the modules found in a modular system, such as VCOs, VCFs, etc.

Now a complete modular synthesizer can be made entirely with compact and inexpensive 1U Tiles.

SYINSI Euclidean Polyrhythm Generator Eurorack Module

Published on Nov 9, 2016 THX2112

"A demonstration of a Euclidean polyrhythm module for Eurorack. Based on the "Tombola Euclidean" module.

In this demo an Alesis DM5 drum trigger brain is being triggered by the Euclidean running on its internal clock. All drum sounds are stock Alesis DM5 samples.

Euclidean trigger 1 out is going to the kick, offbeat (triggers whenever trigger 1 isn't being triggered) is going to the snare.

Triggers 2 and 3 are triggering the low and high toms.

It's available as a PCB/Panel kit: http://syinsi.com/product/euclidean-p...

or complete module: http://syinsi.com/product/euclidean-b...

More neat stuff: http://syinsi.com/shop/"

"A version of the “Tombola Euclidean Polyrhythm Generator”.

Feed it a clock signal and it generates four rhythmically-related triggers because math.

The first trigger also has an “offbeat” that is triggered whenever the first trigger isn’t being triggered. Works great on kick/snare or closed/open hats.

Four trigger outs including an “offbeat” for the first trigger.
Clock and Reset inputs

Bill Hemsath, RA Moog's Chief Engineer from 1969 to 1971, gave us three fantastic things we all treasure to this day. He developed the first CV joystick, which then became pitch and mod wheels. He also had the bright idea to wire some modules together in a box with a keyboard, and the Minimoog was born.

The entertainment continues Saturday night with multiple live music events. The Knobcon Big Room - a house and techno party with projections by Lorenzo Vektor and Dennis Stein. Big Room performers include Glacial 23, Introvert, Low-Gain, Komprezzor and Oliver Dodd. New Stomper Eurorack Module From Syinsi

Published on Mar 29, 2016 THX2112

via Syinsi

"The biggest problem with the Stomper was the time it took to put together. They were gone as soon as they were built -- which made it hard to keep in stock.

Now the PCB has been redesigned for faster/easier assembly, but the circuit (and sound) is the same.

Panel and PCB will also be available once the backorders are finished.

Soundtrack: Two Stompers and a Euro-G1 sequenced by a PrOne."
