GSi DMC-122 - Live Demo with Max Tempia

Published on Jan 23, 2015

"In this short video, Max Tempia uses the DMC-122 in what can be an example of a live situation where the USB port of the DMC-122 is connected to a small netbook running the Editor and playing the VB3-II sound, and MIDI OUT 2 is connected to a PC running Cubase that plays a sequence (drum and bass) and allows to play some virtual instruments. Max can switch between instruments by using drawbars and buttons on the DMC-122 control panel."

"Your dream controller

Have you ever dreamed of the perfect MIDI controller for the studio,
the stage and every kind of instrument you wish to play?
Your dream has just come true.

More than just a MIDI controller

The GSi DMC-122 not only is a very solid yet portable dual manual MIDI controller with an organ-style interface.
It offers a full set of features that you won't find in no other controller.
It's a dual manual organ. It's a dual keyboard controller. It's a MIDI mixer, a control surface.

Your creativity's new home.

20 Drawbars, 6 Potentiometers.
1 Encoder, 22 buttons.
1 multiple button.
Pitch bender and modulation wheel.
Two 61-key "waterfall" keybeds
with Channel aftertouch.

Everything totally programmable.

4 individual MIDI outputs.
1 USB-MIDI connection.
2 inputs for continuous pedals.
Assignable sustain pedal input.
Power for your USB device.

Connects to your musical world.

Not only a mute keyboard

The GSi DMC-122 comes with a software editor application compatible with Windows and OS X. The editor allows to edit every single control and all global options, store and organize up to 32 complete setups, create and store three custom velocity curves, and much more.

At the simple press of a button, the editor program becomes the sound engine for the DMC-122 offering the sound of VB3 Version 2.

This means that the DMC-122 is not only a 'mute' MIDI controller. It can be your next full featured dual manual tonewheel organ simulator. And everything is based on the most realistic Hammond B3® simulation ever.

More voice to the choir

On the back of the DMC-122 there's an expansion slot. If no expansion is installed, the cover offers the fourth MIDI output. When filled with our powerful DSP engine the DMC-122 becomes a stand-alone keyboard bringing you the best of the most realistic physically modeled and sampled sounds from the decennial experience of GSi. We care for your future

The DMC-122 software can be easily updated at any time thanks to the Editor's built-in upgrade function."

601.3 [eurorack volca touchOSC]

"a new configuration for my Erthenvar / Pulp Logic lunchbox synth centered around the WMD Sequential Switch Matrix and Make Noise Phonogene. both are controlled by some custom layouts i made in touchOSC, and MIDI is being transmitted via the MIDI Implant tile.

this rig is really intented to function alongside the Korg Volcas and other similar instruments, with the SSM being very useful for routing clocks and audio between the boxes.

in this patch, a custom grid of touchOSC buttons selects presets from the SSM, which is routing audio inputs from the Volca, Monotribe and pre recorded guitar loop into the Phonogene. Monotribe provides master clock, and modulation of Phono is provided by a second CV out from touchOSC."

"My first song on the Mutable Instruments Ambika 4P synthesizer: shakey and improvised. Played on an ipad using a hexagonal keyboard I constructed in the app 'TB MIDI stuff.' MIDI is going through an iconnectivity MIDI4+ into the Ambika. The ambika audio is going through a boss bx-600, bx-16 and tascam ixj2 into my iphone 4, no effects."

Mutable Instruments 'Elements' - Electric Bass

Published on Feb 18, 2015 isvisible / isinvisible

"Here's a very simple patch with the Mutable Instruments 'Elements' sounding like an electric bass.

Some patch notes:
Klee Sequencer channel A to Quantimator to Elements V/Oct input.
Turing Volts controlling the transpose of Quantimator.
Klee Sequencer channel B to Elements Mallet input.
Grids out to Elements Gate input.

Simple, but effective.

Drums provided by Touched by Sound DRM-1 via Triggerman module.

multi-band Distortion processor

Published on Feb 18, 2015 cirtcele

"Built the 1st proto-type of this today. Works fine, just need to tweak the gain levels of the sub200 channel and slightly redesign the panel.

Basically it splits the input signals into 4 frequency bands, these go into fuzz circuits and vactrol based VCAs, then summed to the output or use the individual channel outputs. You can blend the clean/distorted signal and vary the fuzz characteristics."
