The blue buttons appear to have gone green. Give it an interesting look.

"Great little analog synth with built in sequencer, it's basically a SH-101 synth but it has a sequencer that can add accent and slide (just like an TB-303).
All pots and sliders work fine with no crackle or problems apart from the square wave slider on the source mixer, the sound doesn't begin to fade in until the slider is moved about 20% of its length. It's not really been a problem for me but I thought it needed to be mentioned.
All keys and buttons work perfectly.
Battery compartment clean.

2 channel Sequencer
Plays both the internal synth and also an external synth via CV and gate out using one channel while at the same time playing a second external synth with a totally different sequence using the external CV and gate outputs.

Tape Save/Load
Even though most users might consider the Tape in/out a bit redundant I think it is very useful as sequences can be saved/loaded using a sampler or audio channel from a DAW instead of tape, just record the data as audio and you can build a library of acid lines to load in seconds.

Sync In/Out
One Roland sync input and two sync outputs will allow the MC-202 to clock from an external device while it sends clock to two other devices

CV/Gate in
Play the internal synth and record realtime sequences using a full size keyboard

CV/Gate Out X 2
Play both Sequencer parts on external synths"

Dreadbox Erebus - Paraphonic in some strange way

Published on Nov 5, 2017 Martin Jagl

"Here I use the MODWHEEL-signals to play OSC2 independently from OSC1.

- Connect MOD (out) to OSC2 (in)

Setup in your DAW:

- only one MIDI channel for OSC1 (real note values) and MODWHEEL values

There are no fixed settings to get your desired note values for OSC2.
Its depending on the position of your „MOD DEPHT“ knob.
With a little trial and error, you will roughly know, which is a third, a fifth, an octave - and so on.

In this way you can also create a faked sample & hold effect. (send it from MOD to VCF)"

Roland SE-02 and ARP 2600 Bass (Live Synth Jam)

Published on Nov 5, 2017 Ralph Baumgartl

"In this Live Synthesizer Jam I am using the new Roland SE-02 monophonic Synth in conjunction with the ARP 2600 semi modular Synthesizer. The bass sounds from these two Synths work nicely together, and the 'After Touch' feature of the SE-02 offers great sonic possibilities when playing live. The Jam Session is my style of IDM and Electronica with some traces of Ambient and a little bit of Berlin School of Electronic Music. Enjoy!

The gear list:
Roland SE-02 (Studio Electronics), ARP 2600 with Arturia Keystep Controller (also acting as a Midi/CV interface), Korg M50, Arturia Microbrute, Roland Vocoder VP-330, Roland JD-Xi, Roland JX-3P, Akai MPK25 controlling Macbook with Logic Pro, Strymon BigSky, Strymon Timeline, Zoom MS-70CDR, Boss BX-600 mixer, MOTU Micro Lite USB Midi Interface, Soundcraft Signature 22 MTK."
