Help the ARP Foundation Share Their ARP 2500 Synth With the World!

video upload by Alan R. Pearlman Foundation

"Help Us Share Our ARP 2500 Synth With the World!
The ARPs for All project is expecting a new member of the family! We need your help!

(see our Fundraiser https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/he...)

This video contains excerpts with permission of a longer video from @DivKid [posted here]
Music is by permission from @DavidBaronMusic .

The restoration process has been very laborious and time-consuming, and this is where we need your help! If we reach our goal with your donations, this will become the only ARP 2500 available for public use in the USA!

Filling a missing module, sourcing a keyboard, and adding a protective case will cost upwards of $6000.

We are asking for donations of any amount... BUT we have some GREAT perks for those who help us - including actual hands-on time with the wonderful and rare ARP 2500 in Boston!

All funds will go towards the Foundation's 2500's restoration effort and the ARPs for All project."

DEMO - Petal - MaxforLive Device for Ableton Live by Rainbow Circuit

video upload by Isotonik Studios

"Petal is a Max for Live multi-tap delay that draws any sound into an ever-unfolding garden. The core of Petal is its eight-tap delay, evenly spaced at the dialed in delay time. Individual taps can be toggled on or off to create irregular rhythmic delays.

The X-Y Shaping pad distorts the tap delay times in interesting ways. The Y-axis shifts the tap delay times from equidistant (linear) spacing to skewed (sigmoid) spacing. The X-axis skews the tap delay times closer to either tap 1 or tap 8.

Each tap can be pitch-shifted up or down in perfect 5ths or octaves. Play a handful of notes and listen as it evolves into a rich harmonic background. The FFT pitch-shifting circuit provides clean pitch-shifting with minimal tonal coloration.

Feeling uninspired? Tap the dice to generate endless pitch-shifting and tap on/off combinations.

Add feedback and hear the delay pattern dance around. Petal uses a separate delay line in its feedback circuit, which can be set to individual tap length.

Introducing character to Petal is easy: a no-nonsense filter for effortless tonal shaping, delay time modulation using the Wobble parameter, and soft clipping to add rich harmonics to the input signal.

myVolts Synth Show + Tell Dec 2023 Summary

myVolts recently hosted a get-together in their office in Dublin, Ireland.

"The format: come, bring a bit of gear if you like, definitely headphones, and hang out for the evening, staying for as long or little as you like. Play with the gear, plug stuff in, string stuff together, chat, catch up, share knowledge, or learn something new. And I’d have a change to show off the new myVolts Step-Up power tips, test them out with people’s real life rigs."

You can find pics and a summary of the event at myVolts' website here.

Original owner. Seriously underrated vintage additive synth with tons of real-time controls and classic programmable arpeggiator. Gently used only in a smoke and pet-free home recording studio. Fantastic sounds, amazing keyboard feel and action - really the nicest keys on a synth you will ever play.

Excellent working condition: all buttons, pots, keys, and controls work perfectly. All jacks/connectors are solid with no audio or midi issues. Display has slightly dimmed, but is still legible and bright with full contrast control.

Cosmetically it’s in excellent condition except on the left side of the keyboard, above the drive slot and pitch and modulation wheels, (see pic) there’s a small blemish/chip in the dark blue where it looks like something was dropped on it (I don’t remember what it was or when it happened). Additionally, further down, closer to the left edge of the keyboard, left of the Pitch Bend wheel is another mark that’s about the size of a pencil tip and barely visible. Hopefully, you can see from the pictures that these are really minor blemishes on an otherwise beautiful synth."
