"A piece created with the ‪@teenageengineering‬ EP-133 K.O.II, OP-1 field, and ‪@SpectrasonicsVIDEO‬ Omnisphere, where looping beats intertwine with shimmering synth tones.

EP-133 K.O.II: A loop built from drum, bass, and electric-piano samples. The unit is synchronized to the OP-1 field via USB-C.

OP-1 field: A 16-bar synth-pad performance is pre-recorded and looped, with live synth-lead lines played on the internal keyboard. The CWO effect is engaged for occasional modulation, and the output is routed through ‪@gfisys‬ SPECULAR TEMPUS for shimmer reverb.

Omnisphere: Provides additional synth textures layered into the track."

The Roland SH-4d Desktop Synthesizer expands its creative potential with Version 2.0. The free upgrade gives electronic music producers new sonic capabilities with two expressive new OSC Models, pattern chaining for streamlined performances, and serious workflow refinements.

Two new OSC Models

STEP for step-based LFO modulation to produce dynamic movement within tones. From rigid, classic analog step sequencer-inspired phrases locked into the groove, to experimental soundscapes with curves, swells, bleeps and bloops.

HARMONIC for rich, layered sounds with a classic drawbar organ layout. Prime for creating essential house bass tones, bell-like chimes, deep pads, and powerful organ sounds with hands-on control of four harmonically tuned drawbars.

Workflow refinements

PATTERN CHAIN for streamlined hands-free performances and song construction.

SYSTEM-LEVEL FX options for consistent Reverb, Delay, and Chorus settings across all patterns for cohesive mixes in the studio as well as uninterrupted pattern switching while playing live.

QUICK OVERWRITE for saving tone and pattern data with less steps, never breaking creative momentum.

UNDO/REDO function now supported up to 10 times for worry-free experimentation when creating sequences.

New SUB-STEP options for off-grid note entry, shifting synth and drum hits behind-the-beat for looser grooves and greater variations when paired with Probability.

Extended MIDI control with improved program change implementation and new options for which MIDI data is transmitted to external devices.

"I tried to do a kind of shepard tone effect (constantly rising tone) with the Erica Synths Bullfrog.
I used the polyphonic feature of the sampler card to get this result.
Later in the video I add some delay, ringmodulation and noise.
Direct recording with soft mastering."

What's all this??? We're excited to share what we've been working on during the Superbooth preparations, including a few mysterious surprises! You will find us at Booth O400 - same as last year. Just walk up the main big stairs and turn left until you see a bunch of nerds in black dungarees playing weird looking instruments… Probably our best SB drip yet!

This year, we will showcase a handful of brand new designs of upcoming modules to be released later this year including Monoplex - a smaller version of the Komplex sequencer, Bürste - a noise burst generator, a Wavefolder, a Dual Envelope and a KOMA VCO!
Sensei and Kassiopeia, which are both available for pre-order, will also have their space in special installations we’ve prepared especially for this year.

One of them is using your movements or even your heartbeat to generate cool shapes with our new VCO and Sensei sensor modules. You'll be
able to print out the results as a sticker!
