Moog Dual VCO

via this auction

"This is a rare vintage piece from the late 70's from Moog's Custom Engineering division, the same part of the company that custom built the large modular systems of that era.(You can see in the fourth photo it says "custom engineering" just below the Moog name on the faceplate.) It is basically 2 of the 921 oscillators that were used in those systems, in a rack mounted unit. It can be patched into anything to get that incredible Moog oscillator sound!"

Ooh La La lot. Synth Mangler Truly Beautiful Disaster

flickr set by greggonintendo
via this auction
"Synth Mangler - serial number 29
Two Soda Meiser-style fuzz's in one box
Each has its own volume control, hiss and chaos modes
The Joystick controls the intensity of both fuzz's

Truly Beautiful Disaster - serial number 323
The TBD is an oscillating fuzz and a feed back loop with photo sensitive eye in one pedal. The oscillating fuzz is capable of hundreds of different fuzz tones with it's blend, fuzz, oscillation, and gate controls, while the feed back loop can mutate any of your other effects into a new noise generating machine of doom.

Ooh La La pedals by Effector 13 / Devi Ever. These pedals are overbuilt. No double stick tape, no hot glue or goop and no perf board. These were built from the ground up in Minneapolis-MN-USA and were hand painted by Jason Myrold of Zvex fame. Both pedals uphold RoHS guidelines and use water-soluble paints and lead-free solder when possible."

MALEKKO EKKO 616 ANALOG DELAY PEDAL

via this auction

"For years, Malekko has been synonymous with the best quality BBD delays available. Today the evolution continues with the EKKO 616, a full featured yet compact delay with external modulation controls, an optional buffer, internal level pot and 650ms of pure analog bliss!

The E616's specially voiced repeats allow a larger bandwidth to pass than most traditional analog delays. Turn the mix pot all the way up and the repeats will be slightly louder than the dry signal if needed, allowing greater flexibility. The regeneration pot will take you from a simple slapback to a nice gentle decay of a few repeats then all the way to taking off into outer space with just a turn of the pot! Engage the modulation button and the Malekko EKKO 616 takes on a whole new personality, from subtle chorusing or beautiful vibrato to way WAY beyond. The EKKO 616 also allows you to select your type of bypass between buffered or true bypass. Tired of annoying volume drops? An internal trimpot (labeled "gain") will allow you to set the EKKO 616's level to your specific setup.

At Malekko, we didn't set out to make a carbon copy of anything. Instead of looking backwards, we designed a new and visionary analog delay from the ground up.
Operates on a 9V battery or optional 9VDC neg tip regulated power supply."

Siel Dk-600 Demo

YouTube via FatSynthDude | January 17, 2011 |

"Please excuse the awful keyboarding. There aren't many demos of this fascinating synthesizer, so I thought it would be worth tolerating. This is a quick demo of the Siel DK-600 (same thing as the Opera 6 but with DCO's instead of VCO's). The architecture is very simple (no FM and no sync, only one envelope) but thanks to the SSM2024 filters, it sounds fantastic. These go for relatively low prices these days, and in my opinion, they are worth the cost."

With Slim Phatty it is a fantastic analog synthesizer plus can be used as an expanded Mooger Fooger MF -101 low pass filter."

Electronic Sackbut Synthesizer - First CV Synth From 1945

YouTube via TreasuresTresors | April 14, 2010 |
via brian comnes in the comments of this post.
"Hugh LeCaine of Ottawa created the Electronic Sackbut Synthesizer in his home studio over a period of three years from 1945 to 1948. This synthesizer is the first voltage-controlled synthesizer ever built, preceding the manufacture of commercial synthesizers by twenty years. Le Caine, a nuclear physicist with the National Research Council, was passionate about music. He was concerned that the musical notes produced by electronic instruments in the 1930s, such as the Hammond Organ and the Morse Robb Wave Organs, lacked a certain expressivity. Determined to shape technology for the needs of the musician and expand the possibilities of musical sound he built a synthesizer that allows for complex variations in pitch and tone. This, LeCaine achieved, through the innovative use of voltage control. The technique provides an automatic background voltage that can remain stable or be altered through the manipulation of the knobs and keyboard. The keys are sensitive to a vertical pressure that controls the volume and a lateral pressure that changes the pitch. In this way the musician can simultaneously manipulate the volume, pitch, and timbre of each note and produce gradual transitions from one sound to the next. The rudimentary appearance of the synthesizer its three legs made of crossed pieces of scrap wood and with instructions penciled onto its surface camouflages the brilliant concept behind this invention. LeCaine's Electronic Sackbut Synthesizer is the precursor of today's electronic instruments.

See this treasure on the official Canada's Got Treasures website!"
