Richard Devine "Mu5ca-diN3"- late night modular patch

"Mu5ca-diN3"- late night modular patch from Richard Devine on Vimeo.

"Modular track I recorded late last night. Everything clocked from one intellijel Dixie to a Doepfer A-160,161, MakeNoise Brains, Pressure Points X 2. Clock division gates sent out from the 4ms SCM, and RCD. Beats courtesy of the CycleBox II and TipTop BD808 kick. Make noise phonogene processing the cwejman S1 analogue percussion zaps. String layer and and lead created with a Cwejman VM-1 and VCO2RM with the help of a intellijel uScale quantizer/MMF-1/ washed through a bit of reverb from the Eventide Space, and Tiptop Z-DSP, Z-5000. finally the Op-1doing light sine tone sprinkles...

Note: No drum machines or computers used in this video."

TIPTOP BASS PATCH

TIPTOP BASS PATCH from Station 252 on Vimeo.

"Heavily modulated bass patch using one Z3000 oscillator with other two cross modulating each other and the filter parameters. The final output is processed with a Fold Processor and filtered with Z2040 low pass filter and a VCA on the output. A couple of Z4000s are modulating the filter frequency and the VCA. Z8000 is used to sequence the main oscillator's shape and a parameter on the Z-DSP as well as the main oscillator's pitch. Quantized and manually transposed by QuantiZer. Triggers by the Trigger Riot and Circadian Rhythms. Effects, as usual, are Z-DSP based."

Horror Onward in Scary Mono.

YouTube Uploaded by MrRitchieDrums on Apr 28, 2011

"More experimenting with analog sequencers & quantizers. This one produced a scary piece."

Gear:
"Blacet Binary Zone is providing clock to the 4MS clock multipler. The first sound you hear is the MFOS rotary sequencer going to a Blue Lantern Black Jack VCO though a Polivoks filter, then the EHX Memory Boy Delay. TipTop Z8000 sequencer 4 vertical rows are receiving different 4ms clocks and going to 4 channels of the Synthesizers.com Quantizer modules to 4 Synthesizers.com VCOs through the Mattson VC Mixer, then finally to the STG Mankato Filter. The Z8000 16 steps are going to a COTK quantizer, then to MOOG Taurus III CV in. Finally 4 horizontal z8000 steps are going to the Hordijk OSC HRM through a Synthesizers.com filter also being fed Pink noise. All quantizers are set to Minor/scale & LOTS of LFOs are Here & There............... "

Tiptop Audio Weekend testing of the new Quantizer and a new Z-DSP card

"Synth line is two Z3000 into Z2040 played by our new Quantizer driven by Z8000 and Circadian Rhythms . 808/909 drum modules through a new card we are testing for the Z-DSP, gives it a nice crunch."

BLeeDing shalm

"This patch-video might remind you at the "PLL Arabesque" video from boobtube356. And yes, indeed there is a PLL involved in this patch as well, but it's not the PLL forming the main character of this patch. You can see and hear that the PLL output initially comes in at about 1:00. What you hear before is just the output from the Cwejman BLD, nothing else (beside some reverb of course).
The BLD is being controlled by an A-155 sequencer. As the BLD has inputs for both Attack rates as well as for both of the Relase rates, these are being driven by a Doepfer A-143-1 Complex envelope generator running in AD-mode. The mixed output of this module also defines the first note of the A-155 sequencer.

The "arabesque" character of this patch mainly comes from a high glide setting of the A-155 sequencers Post-output. The shalm like sound is caused by proper setting of the BLD.

The intermittent "screaming distortion-like" effect is achieved by triggering the sequencer with a clock in audio range (the square output from the PLL) from time to time (switching between PLL-LFO and the A-154 internal clock using a A-150 VCS)."

Blubber Paule

"News from my KFEE (Klanglabor für experimentelle Elektronik).

This session has been performed and recorded without any Computer or MIDI-devices. Only some outboard equipment has been used on the final signal (compression and reverb).

Unfortunatly the cam's mic does not have a very good frequency range so the bassdrum has not been recorded very well.

The starting sound comes from a sequenced A-112 Wavetable Oscillator which will be faded out when the main sequence comes in. The main part of this patch is the combination of an A-155/A-154 Sequencer and Controller, a quantizer and a SQ8 Sequencer which is transposing the sequence by using the A-156' transpose input). The A-154 mode will be switched between forward and pendulum by a LFO. On top of this there is a Heisenberg generator which is responsible for changing the number of steps between 1 and 8 by random (very slowly of course).

If you are wondering whats in the lower left corner of the rack (which you can't see in the video): nothing more than a A-164-1 Manual Gate which is being used to reset the sequence manually (and to start/stop the sequencer itself).

The VCOs being used are two TipTop Audio Z3000. The first one is generating three different waveforms which are being mixed together. The second one is acting as a suboscillator. "

ELEKTRON DIGITAKT DEMO SAMPLING A EURORACK MODULAR SYNTH

Published on Jun 26, 2017 once upon a synth

"Making weird glitchy beats using the Elektron Digitakt by sampling eurorack modular synth sounds. Everything except the drums has been sampled from the modular. The drum sounds are stock samples that come with the Digitakt. The main modules I used are the TipTop Audio Z3000, Z8000, Z4000, Z2040, Fold Processor, Quantizer and the Make Noise Maths, Morphagene and Tempi."

Intellijel μscale - quantized symmetry

Intellijel μscale - quantized symmetry from Richard Devine on Vimeo.

"The μscale module is a cv quantizer and musical interval generator. In this simple patch I am using four VCO's. Cwejman VCO-2RM, VM-1,harvestman piston honda, and hertz donut. Everything is being CV sequenced by the output of the μscale. Clocked from one mini ELF LFO to a Doepfer 160, 161 then out to a-151 quad sequential switch controlling the MakeNoise Brains, and two pressure points doing long slow sequences back into the CV and Shift input on the Intellijel μscale. The drums are coming from the cwejman BLD and NS-04 for the white noise snare, and high hats. Effects used TipTop Z5000, Z-DSP, and Doepfer A-187

Moog Subharmonicon Semi-Modular Synthesizer Sounds (with DFAM)

Published on May 11, 2020 Perfect Circuit

"The Moog Subharmonicon has been anticipated since it was the synth built during the 2018 Moogfest Engineering Workshop. It is finally here as a production synth with a few upgrades from the Moogfest version. This production version has midi, a built in quantizer, more envelope controls and a slightly different sequencer section.

The Subharmonicon is built around divider circuits. There are two VCOs that each have two dividers that output frequencies between the base frequency 1/1, an octave below 1/2, an octave and a fifth below 1/3, two octaves below 1/4, two octaves and a fourth below 1/5, all the way down to four octaves below 1/16. The two oscillators and the four subdivisions can be mixed together into six note chords that span multiple octaves, the oscillators then of course go through a Moog ladder filter. There are a pair of envelopes for the VCA and VCF.

The sequencing also works with subdivisions of the tempo clock, there are four dividers that divided the master clock from 1/1 to 1/16 in integer divisions. These four dividers can trigger the envelopes and clock the two four step sequencers. The sequencers can then modulate the pitch of the two main VCOs, or select which divisions the subdividers are set to. Since the Subharmonicon is semi-modular its has a patch bay where different signal and control routing setups can be experimented with. The patch bay also makes connecting the Subharmonicon to a Mother 32, DFAM, or any other semi-modular or eurorack synth easy.

In this video we showed a combination of the Subharmonicon by itself as well as with a DFAM for percussion and with a Cooper FX Outward V2. The sidechain style patch at 5:09 uses a Ritual Electronics Anima Function generator to create the sidechain envelope and the Subharmonicon is going through a Tiptop Echoz delay module.

Sea People - Hardware / No DAW Jam #36

Published on Sep 6, 2018 Jay Hoskins

Title: Sea People
Genre: Electronic Melodic Ambient Downtempo
Artist: Rite Rain Causality - Jay Hoskins

In this track the Tonestar 2600 provides the bass line sequenced by the Timbrewolf. I wanted to try longer patterns in the eurorack so all four channels of the Timbrewolf are used and switched through a sequential switch. The gates are independent of the cv and generated by the Turing machine. The Minilogue provides an initial pad and then a melody is recorded live into the sequencer. The circuit is doing drum duty and additional bass reinforcement. Finally the MS-20 is adding some lead pads. Delay and reverb are from the Flashback and Hall of Fame.

Played live without a computer and recorded directly from the mixer outputs.
