Conn Electric Band analog synth organ drum machine

"This rare Conn Electric Band is a combination of preset & variable analog synth, polyphonic organ section, bass synth, drum machine, with an auto-accompaniment features, and an incredible spring reverb function. The "band" descriptor is apt, as it can do all of that stuff simultaneously. I'd suggest doing a search to see what all the buttons and slides are; I can also send a bunch more pictures. Anyways, all that being said, not everything on it is functional. But, if you're willing to deal with its janky indiosyncracies, it's pretty cool. As for how it works? Well, kind of depends on the day, the weather, the alignment of planets, etc. Gonna do my best to thoroughly explain: The analog drum machine, accompaniment section, and spring reverb all work perfectly. The organ section seems to need time to warm up, and when it does, the keys sometimes all play perfectly, and other times one or two won't play. The main synth section works, but sometimes the sound cuts out. Sort of pushing on the top, or hitting it, or looking at it sideways makes the sound come back. Also, the presets often get their sounds combined with the manual synth section (the variable part of the synth where you adjust portamento, wah, modulation, decay, and the two "tone" oscillators), but this is kind of a non-issue, as all of the presets are made from the manual settings, and thus easily recreated. Also, sometimes, the upper white keys act like they have portamento stuck on. The only thing that doesn't work at all is the bass section. So yeah, really temperamental, but even as is, there are tons of possibilities."video previously posted here

"In this short demo video, Percussa AudioCubes is used to automatically generate multiple piano melodies, using the new generative music software created for the AudioCubes by Percussa.
Each cube uses a different groove and a limited number of notes to play its melody. All notes are in the same scale, so you don't need to know the details of the scale to create music in harmony.
By turning a cube you can choose a different groove.
Cubes are placed next to the green PLAY cube to start playback.
By placing cubes next to each other, you can make them adapt to each other's melody automatically.
The notes generated by the AudioCubes and software is sent via MIDI to the General MIDI synthesizer available for free with Windows or Mac OSX.
Because every AudioCube plays a different melody and they are all related in tempo and in key, the result is "four hand piano music".

Sound8 Gets Some Bounce
You might remember Sound8 from this previous post.It's a very cool app that let's you play with up to eight samples at a time. You click on the screen and a small circle appears. The circle plays a sampled loop. Moving the circle adjusts the volume and pitch of the sample, one on each axis. You can move the circle by moving it with your finger, flicking it, or via the accelerometer by moving the device. You can add up to eight circles/samples on the screen at once all of which move independently. If you remember from my last post, one thing I wished it could do was bounce off of the walls so it could continue to morph. This has been added to v 1.1. You can also adjust the speed of movement so you can get slow morphs going or extreme. Drum loops and basically any sample can get pretty interesting especially when they are playing off of each other. As mentioned before, you can load your own samples via SoundCloud.
