"Built with the Music From Outer Space PCB and a custom designed aluminum panel from Front Panel Express. I made the amp with a recycled computer speaker."
"Up for sale is The SML Concert Spectrum Synthesizer. Its in working condition but needs some repair such as fuses and wires and such. It wont cost much. This is sold as is and no return. Please bid with confidence that you are getting a once in a lifetime Synthesizer from the 70`s. Also it was made in Italy."
Update via Micke in the comments: "That's a rebadged Welson symphony string synthesizer (1976). It was built by the company WEBO electronics in Passatempo, Italy. Best known users of the SLM version are Richard TAndy of E.L.O. and Gregg Rolie of Journey."
"DMC World Champ DJ Shiftee shows what the upcoming Traktor Kontrol S4 DJ system is capable of, highlighting the powerful new Sample Decks and Loop Recorder in four spectacular mini-routines:
1. Live looping and editing, cue point juggling and jog wheel scratching on the Tetris melody, using dubstep Loopmaster loops.
2. Using one-shots like speech samples and horn-stabs in the S4 Sample Decks to build a set.
3. Triggering synced loops, grabbing them on-the-fly from Diplo's remix of "Flashing Lights" and using the Sample Decks as an additional deck in Traktor.
4. Using live audio playback from the S4 Loop Recorder like a live mix of sequencer automation.
Berlin, August 16th, 2010 – Native Instruments today announced TRAKTOR KONTROL S4, an integrated DJ system with state-of-the-art performance capabilities and intuitive tactile control. Based on ten years of digital DJing expertise, TRAKTOR KONTROL S4 combines a special version of the TRAKTOR PRO software with an advanced hardware controller, both developed in unison to give DJs of all genres unparalleled creative possibilities with supreme work flow and ease-of-use.
TRAKTOR KONTROL S4 represents a new level of software and hardware integration that makes DJing more versatile, more intuitive and more fun. The full-featured controller combines a four-channel mixer section with ergonomically laid-out high-quality control elements and an integrated audio interface, all designed to professional specifications. All relevant functions including looping, cueing, effects control and track browsing are immediately accessible on the robust and portable hardware, while dynamic multi-color backlighting, LED status displays and comprehensive level metering allow DJs to focus on their performance rather than on the computer screen.
The included TRAKTOR PRO S4 software offers the full feature set of TRAKTOR PRO, further expanded through powerful new performance functions and an optimized user interface that offers superior usability under all conditions. Two flexible Sample Decks can add up to eight simultaneous one-shot samples or beat-synced loops to the mix, opening up creative remixing and mash-up possibilities that go far beyond conventional DJing techniques. The unique Loop Recorder also allows DJs to capture and overdub audio loops from the live mix, cue signal or an external input on the fly, and drop them back into the mix at any time.
The dual touch-sensitive jog wheels on the KONTROL S4 hardware offer extremely precise and responsive deck control due to a new patentpending electromagnetic technology, complemented through Native Instruments' high resolution NHL protocol that provides superior performance over conventional MIDI. The integrated low-latency 24bit/96kHz audio interface is based on the acclaimed AUDIO 4 DJ, and provides professional signal quality to match the most high profile club systems. External time-code control via turntables and CD decks will be enabled through a future software upgrade. To accommodate touring DJs, a professional flightcase that doubles as an adjustable performance stand will also be available as an accessory for TRAKTOR KONTROL S4.
TRAKTOR KONTROL S4 will be available this winter for a suggested retail price of $999 / 899 EUR. The TRAKTOR KONTROL Case will be available at the same time for $189 / 169 EUR."
"Neste vídeo utilizei o iPad com os apps iSequence (Beep Street) e o StudioTrack ( Sonoma Wire Works). Todo o processo de audio foi feito utilizando apenas o iPad. A gravação da flauta foi feita com o microfone embutido do iPad, utilizando o StudioTrack, que também foi responsável por inserir efeitos e gerar a faixa final.

"Hello ! My name is Frederic Gerchambeau. I have made this movie and this music. The music has been made entirely with Plogue Bidule in one take. No samples were used. Drums are mostly FFT/iFFT based synth sounds. Enjoy ! http://www.myspace.com/fredericgercha..."

"This video, recorded in 1997, demonstrates an early proof of concept prototype I put together for a novelty entertainment product I called the Singing Candle, or CandleSpeaker (please observe copyrights). The candle flame sings the following melodies:
1. Strolling Through the Park One Day
2. Shave and a Haircut
3. Mexican Hat Dance
4. Camptown Races
5. The Star Spangled Banner
6. Jingle Bells
This is basically fire modulated with a high voltage audio signal, similar to the techniques used to create a plasma tweeter or plasma speaker using a tesla coil or CRT flyback transformer. There is no speaker- the sound comes from the rapid air pressure disturbances in the candle flame itself, controlled by a high voltage current modulated with an audio signal and passing through the fire plasma.
The final product was going to sing with a human voice via amplitude modulated ultrasonic carrier, and not with the cheesy squarewave oscillator signal used in this video. You won't see this in stores anytime soon, however, as the project never really got off the ground.
But here I am talking to a candle flame and it's kind of funny and fascinating. Hope you think so too.
BTW, The accent in my voice is fake- I did it just for fun. You know how it is, when you're goofing off at home all alone?
Recorded at Batchelor Pad Heaven in 1997. Davis, CA.
If you enjoy piano music please see my other videos- playing the piano is my other hobby ;)

Update:Mark Webb asked me if I had a mini button/banner. Good idea. Can't believe I didn't think of that. Here are a couple, the first courtesy of modd3d
If anyone wants an alternative size or comes up with one, let me know and I'll update this post. Please don't spend time creating a new logo design though, this basic one stays.
"OB-8 converted by Studio Electronics to an Obie-Eight rack mount. The original Oberheimer OB-8 was converted by Studio Electronics in the San Fernando Valley in California - the same company that converted many Mini Moogs. Fully MIDI capable. Vintage early '80s. One owner, private studio, professional user. Never transported or taken on road. One of the all-time favorite synths of the early '80s."
"Phone battery ran out just as started recording! Will post a better vid asap. This pedal is the best tremolo I have ever used. Lost myself for hours with it coupled with moog murf and effector 13 tbnd"
YouTube via TheDaydreamSound | August 16, 2010 The track starts at 2:21. "I made this track back in 2003. It was made entirely on the Ensoniq EPS 16+ for the most part. It's a good machine for drums and samples. Still a terribly underrated sampler.

via Marc-Henri Arfeux: "National School of Fine Arts of Angers (France). As usual in the concerts I perform, I played totally improvised musics. Here on Virus TI, Minimoog Voyager Electric Blue and Roland Phantom XR, only using synthesis sounds I created especially for this occasion, voices and strings as well as all the other sounds you can hear here.
Receive my best friendly regards,
Marc-Henri Arfeux"
"The Signal Amplifiers has 3 independent VCA elements. Two logarithmic-response AC-coupled VCAs with an initial gain control, and one linear-response VCA. The linear section is calibrated so that 5v on the control input is unity gain and 0v is null. On the logarithmic sections, 5v will achieve unity when the dial is around 3 o'clock, and distortion will be presented above that.
This module has a standard Synthesizers.com-compliant power connector and will physically mount in Synthesizers.com or Moog system cabinets and rack frames."
via STG on Ebay "There are two famous 3 pole diode ladder lowpass filters, one of them was in a little silver box of a synthesiser with integrated sequencer that was used to make "Acid Tracks" and the other one was was in a big suitcase of a synthesiser with a silver faceplate and semi-integrated sequencer that was used to make tracks on acid often. this is the latter. I'm not going to name any names here, but I'm hoping I don't have to mention any voltage controlled studios or electronic music studios to establish the lineage of this filter topology.
I can't promise this thing will make Sea Devils appear on your lawn or models of airplanes fly from one side of the stage to the other, crashing into a papier mache sun at the end of your song, so please don't be offended if these things fail to happen while using the filter, presuming you'd want to own one.
Click here for a 6 minute composition made with the Sea Devils Filter. The oscillators are unmodified Synthesizers.com Q106s and every other module (envelopes, VCAs, mixing, sequencing, etc) is an available, unavailable, or yet to be available STG Soundlabs module.
this module runs on 15 volt bipolar DC and has a Synthesizers.com-compliant power connector, and mounts properly in Moog, Synthesizers.com, or STG Soundlabs cabinets and rack frames."
I added an STG on Ebay link on the right under the the MORE STUFF/Manufacturers section. I'll be posting new items with new as they go up, but remember I do my best not to post the same image twice, so be sure to check out the link now and then. The same goes for the other manufacturers listed there.
BTW, for those that missed the post, I added a Eurorack on Ebay link towards the top right of the MORE STUFF section just under "Synths on Ebay US" and "Synths on Ebay UK." I still need to add other formats. It's not as simple as just popping them in though. I need to construct a search on Ebay that will filter out the non modular gear. For example, if I search on MOOG, Dotcom, OR Synthesizers.com then all the non modular gear will come in. If if I search requiring all then surely things will be missed. I'll let you know when I have something and when each goes up. I need to catch up on each day's posts first along with everything else in the day.
"I recently got a new phone that shoots decent video, so I figured I'd try to post something while testing it out.
This is where the ideas for new marsynth products come from: my modular system. This system is entirely hand made by myself, and a majority of the module designs are originals as well. Most marsynth products are simply derived from various patches.
In this video, I'm testing out an adaptation of the classic buchla 292 low pass gate."
"Experimenting with various power pads and filter settings on the softsynth with an ARP 2600 GUI. The software also has a chorus and delay section. I used a midi keyboard to play. It is possible to play using the mouse on the GUI keyboard. When controlled by a midi keyboard, the graphic shows depressed keys much like a player piano. The Arturia product includes the ARP 2600 in 3 faces, a 1601 Sequencer, and a 3640 keyboard graphic. I found the sound quality quite good even with the basic speakers. Latency is noticeable with the stand alone version"
via this auction "Quite a simple monophonic synth very capable of making some fat basslines. . Has a very nice filter resonance and an excellent slow to very fast LFO which goes right into the audio range."
