Audulus 2.6 adds Switch Pack and Feedback Delay
Published on Feb 5, 2014 audulus·11 videos
"Audulus 2.6 adds a new in-app-purchase upgrade, the Switch Pack, and a new free node, Feedback Delay.
The Switch Pack consists of two nodes, Mux8 and Demux8 with more nodes forthcoming. Mux8 and Demux8 are 8-way multiplexers and demultiplexers (respectively). Mux8’s selector input ('sel') controls which of the 8 inputs is routed to the output. Demux8’s selector input controls which of the 8 outputs receives the signal from the input. These nodes can be used to create sequencers or route signals.
FeedbackDelay allows the user to control where a delay occurs in a feedback loop. Because a feedback loop creates a circular dependency between nodes, a delay must be introduced. Audulus indicates where the delay is by showing a 'z' on a delayed input. By inserting a FeedbackDelay node in a feedback loop, the delay will be moved to the FeedbackDelay node, allowing the user to control precisely where the delay occurs.

KINETIK LABORATORIES Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde
Published on Feb 5, 2014 AudioCentralMagazine·189 videos
"Kinetik Lab's Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde is a double personality drone creator: the soft three oscillators mildly filtered are crossfaded with the wicked three cross modulated square oscillators. Good and Evil, Light and Darkness. A pretty little instrument for drone performing; reverb courtesy of TC Electronic Hall Of Fame."

"A K5000 sound is composed of up to six different layers, each of which could use the "advanced additive" synthesis engine or perform fairly standard subtractive synthesis using the internal PCM sound bank. Each source that used additive synthesis could use up to 64 harmonics per source (tuned in a harmonic series, each with their own amplitude envelope) and had its own formant filter that could be modulated by an LFO or its own envelope. The standard digital filter, available with both additive and subtractive synthesis, is known for its rather extreme self-oscillation at higher resonance settings. Another useful feature is that most functions of the synthesizer can be tied to velocity, location of a note on the keyboard, and MIDI controllers, allowing for timbral variation in response to player dynamics..."

"Lady Ada original run x0xb0x #150 TB303 clone with power supply.
This is the original run with brass medallion serial number 150. I built this as a kit using good solder and soldering iron, everything is functional , no issues - see video
The kit came with the presoldered USB board which is surface mount so there are no issues with soldering those close connections. The OS is the original.
This has CV pitch (Octave/volt) and gate out so you can sequence other analog gear, it also has MIDI out for the same purpose, it even has audio in so you can run your other tracks through the x0xb0x filters.
The x0xb0x is not just another MIDI-controlled TB-303 clone. x0xb0x is a full reproduction of the original Roland synthesizer, with fully functional sequencer. The sequencer can be programmed just like the original 303 (ok its actually a little easier, we think) and can be used to control other synthesizers via any of its various output formats. 128 banks of track memory and 64 banks of pattern memory are stored in onboard EEPROM, no battery-backup is needed! blinky! No less than 40 LEDs adorn the x0xb0x. Computer Controlled Plug this baby into your computer, using a standard USB port. Our Java software will control the x0xb0x, or let you save/edit stored patterns and tracks in the onboard memory. Input/Output x0xb0x has all the I/O you could ever need: MIDI in, out, and thru DIN Sync (in or out, selectable) CV and Gate (1/8" jacks) Audio: headphone, mix-in and line-level out (1/4" jacks) USB for computer interface & control
Random mode: fill a pattern bank with random notes, or have it just play random notes
Keyboard mode: just like those casios you had as a kid. Press the keys and sound comes out!
Rotary encoder tempo knob: for finer control over the tempo, or you can set the tempo via computer control mode
Firmware upgradable: the C code is written for AVR-gcc, any Mac/Linux/Windows computer can be used to recompile new code for the x0xb0x. Reprogram using the x0xb0x software with USB. Mess something up? You can always revert back to the original firmware."

SSF & WMD ULTRA FOLD tease
Published on Feb 5, 2014 SteadyStateFate·23 videos
"Teaser of the SSF/WMD Ultra-Fold wave folder and timbre animator. The Ultra-Fold is one of six recently announced modules from the SSF/WMD collaboration series.
The demo begins with some basic wiggling of the controls and typical sounds when modifying a triangle wave from the SSF/WMD Spectrum VCO.
Various Ultra-Fold CV effects from low frequency and into the audio range are demonstrated using the WMD PDO and The Harvestman Hertz Donut mkii, as well as a Doepfer A-147 LFO for CV only.
The demo finishes off with a complex and squelchy acid rhythm using said modules and processed solely through the Ultra-Fold.
All signals are attenuated by the SSF Mixmode and scaled by WMD ProOutput for proper recording levels into a DSLR camera."
