"Improv with the New Buchla Music Easel.

I used a photo-resistor, and soldered to a Program Card........ to control the "pitch" Stage1 of the Sequencer (which is patched to the Principle Oscillator).

The little keyboard deciding riff reminds me of old Pink Floyd trippy goodness.

Mono and wonderful... capable of HUGE and spacey tones. Absolutely LOVE this instrument!

Elektron Octatrack playing back and adding some delay to A4 and OP-1 audio
Octatrack playing sampled OP-1 drone, SP1200 bells, 909 kick/bassdrum
Analog Four playing noisy high hats, rolling kickdrum, and synth sounds
OP-1 playing TR-727 samples
Recorded on 2 tracks in to Ableton through a Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 audio interface.

Focus is off on the camera and theres a couple of audio pops/clips but oh well you get the idea ;)"

"module a-135-1 is a quad voltage controlled mixer. it is made of 4 independent linear vca's. the vca outputs are mixed to a common output. for each vca the following inputs and controls are available: audio input with attenuator, control voltage input with attenuator, gain (pre-amplification). the vca's are realized with high-quality cem vca's (cem3381 for version 1 and ssm2164 for version 2).

applications: voltage controlled mixing of up to 4 audio signals with separate control voltages (e.g. delivered by lfo's, adsr's, random, shepard generator, midi-to-cv interface or other control voltage sources). in connection with the morphing-controller a-144 the soft fade-over of 4 audio signals with only one control voltage is possible.

inputs: 4 x signal in, 4 x cv in
output: signal out, version 2 in addition: 4 x single out
controls: 4 x signal in attenuator, 4 x cv attenuator, 4 x initial gain

remarks:
the first version of the a-135-1 was able to process audio signals only because the signal in/outputs were ac coupled. the first version cannot be used to process slowly varying control voltages! it has been manufactured until about april 2013 and can be identified by the missing single outputs, the 22 hp front panel width and the vca circuits (cem3381 or pa381)

the new version of the a-135-1 is able to process also slowly varying control voltages because the signal in/outputs are dc coupled. it has in addition four single outputs available and can be used as four independent linear vcas. the new version is manufactured since may 2013 and can be identified by the additional four single outputs, the 18 hp front panel width and the vca circuits (ssm2164 or v2164)

it is not possible to modify version 1 for dc signal coupling or single outputs !"

Will be appx 30-45 minutes long.. these are just the main parts. or variations of the same, I am also thinking of adding a second key drop, to make is a bit more interesting after 20mins... so FYI not really complete or final in any way... ok? :)

Waldorf Announces Streichfett String Synthesizer

"Streichfett combines the best of the now extinct species of String Synthesizers of the 70s and early 80s. Its dual sound engine features a fully polyphonic strings section and a monophonic solo section, which is essential for recreating how adult movies sounded thirty years ago. The Ensemble Effect handles lubrication of the String Section, while the Effects section adds adjustable Phaser or Reverb. Alternatively, the Effect section can be used to animate the strings registration, allowing spectacular sound morphs.

The Solo Section offset presets named Bass, E-Piano or Clavi, and just like in your typical string machine, the sound has little to do with that name. Instead, these are shimmering and slightly percussive sounds that blend well with the string section.

Although the User Interface is simple and easy to comprehend, it controls a rather complex sound engine which is capable to delivers rich and creamy pads unlike any other instrument.

Twelve patches can be stored and selected in the Memory section, USB and MIDI are of course on board."
