MIDI controller is the Radikal Technologies Accelerator. Eventide Space was also used for reverb."

Synthrotek RND Eurorack Module - Full Demo CV Random & CV Clock

Published on Feb 14, 2017 synthrotek

Introducing the Synthrotek RND! It's like a math.random() function for modular gear!

This handy module is a feature rich random voltage generator that is shallow and super powerful. It outputs random voltages (similar to a sample and hold) in time with either its internal clock, or with an external clock you can patch in. An external clock will bypass the internal clock, and the CV jack over the clock, so your random voltages will always be in sync with whatever you patch in. With CV control over both the clock speed and the range of your output voltage, you could create anything from a wildly fluctuating blur of notes all the way to a slow, lilting tune. The RND can also be used as a clock source with it's clock out jack.

*Note: due to the voltage drop of the LED in the slide pots, the Range LED wont light up unless the output voltage is above 2v.

Clock Speeds:
Slow: 0.5Hz to 10Hz
Medium: 2Hz to 40Hz
Fast: 16Hz to 320Hz
Linear CV Control over clock speed and range.
Over and Under voltage protection.
CV inputs take 0 to +5v.
Output voltages range from 0v to +5v.
Depth: 40.3mm (1.58in).
Current Draw:
16mA @ +12v
0mA @ -12v
0mA @ +5v"

New 2017 Optigan Disc - DARKSOPHONE - Feat. Pall Jenkins

Published on Feb 14, 2017 optigandotcom

"We have a new Optigan disc! From indie rock veteran Pall Jenkins (The Black Heart Procession, Three Mile Pilot) come the haunting sounds of DARKSOPHONE, featuring musical saw, Marxophone, skeletal guitar and heavy drums. Since the saw and Marxophone both have limited ranges, we’ve split the keyboard, placing the saw on the lower half and the Marxophone on the upper half. For those unfamiliar with the Marxophone, it’s a zither-like instrument that is played with a series of keys, which bounce metal hammers onto the strings for a repeated dulcimer effect. The musical saw is played with a bow, and each note has an organic vibrato and other articulations. The sparse guitar chords lend themselves to combining chord buttons for extended harmonies. The drums feature patterns in both 6/8 and 4/4. Trying slowing the disc all the way down and/or playing it backwards with the reverb cranked up for some spooky late-night shoe-gazing!"

"ngarjuna returns with new songs, new sounds and fresh inspiration. 'Clickbate' continues to push the envelope in combining traditional-ish east coast lines with his fresh, musical take on west coast synthesis. Infused with topical, wry political sarcasm the narrative displays a sincere love for the twisted and the absurd. Available Valentine's Day, 2017 iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, YouTube [above], Bandcamp and wherever else new music is sold."

TECLA TÓNICA | documentário

Video description follows. You'll find a Googlish translation below.

"TECLA TÓNICA - documentário sobre a alquimia da electrónica na música em Portugal //
KEY TONIC - documentary about the alchemy of electronics in portuguese music

MINT Hypersynth Xenophone with Custom-made Case and tilted wooden sides

"Absolutely mint, and barely used with the plastic film still covering the display. It comes with the replacement tilted wooden sides, and they've never been installed. Also comes with a beautiful case with custom cut foam that ergonomically tilts the unit. A space has been cut out to allow all cables to remain plugged in while the unit sits in its case as well. This foam was machine cut, and designed to fit perfectly (this isn't pluck and pull foam). This unit is basically new, and comes with the original box with all original contents as well."

Akai AX60 6 Voice Polyphonic Analog Synthesizer SN 10729-00241

via this auction

"Just fully stripped, serviced & Cleaned.
Some logic ICs and tactile switches replaced.
Power supply recapped
Slide potentiometers cleaned and greased.
Keybed fully stripped and cleaned.
New Internal memory backup battery.
Factory Patches restored

Fantastic sounding synth, and VERY easy to navigate and use.
Many people say it's quite similar to a Juno but with a harder edge to it.
I don't tend to find the need to compare a synth with another and just say it sounds how it sounds.. Great!
Has many great features, including 2 independent EGs, split vice mode and external sampler input so you can run external audio through its filters etc. (I think it was the Akai S950 that connected to it, can't remember, look it up!)
Being one of the last great analogue polysynths of the 80s this has a good midi implementation and a very 'of the time' bank of factory presets which I have restored."
