“Les” — Progressive Soul. This is a mellow and melodic groove built around the warm textures of Prophet X electric piano, tasty B3-style organ, a lush synth pad, and punchy synth brass.

It’s no secret that the Prophet X is Sequential’s most ground-breaking evolution of the Prophet yet. With an ultra-powerful synergy of two simultaneous 16-bit, 48kHz sample-based instruments plus two high-resolution digital oscillators — all processed through analog filters — it covers a vast expanse of sonic and stylistic territory.

To test the limits of what the P-X could do in the hands of one of our most talented artist friends, we asked keyboardist/composer/producer J3PO (Julian Pollack) to stretch it in every direction possible. He responded by unleashing his creativity on five original short pieces, inspired and created entirely by the Prophet X.

“Home With You” — Americana. The spotlight here is on an expressive, crystalline solo acoustic guitar, complete with hammer-ons and subtle, slide-type embellishments. This is the Prophet X at its most expressive, with its tonal richness and nuance on full display.

4. Prophet X Showcase With J3P0 - Neon Skies

“Neon Skies” — Synthwave. With a moody 80’s-style cinematic vibe, this piece showcases powerful Prophet X drums, thick synth bass, a swirling synth pad, and an anthemic synth lead.

5. Prophet X Showcase With J3P0 - Thunder

“Thunder” — Experimental Trap. A moody showcase of synth build-ups and breakdowns. On display here are sizzling Prophet X electronic drums, tuned percussion, atmospheric pads, and soaring synth leads.

Prophet 12 - a glitchy pad and sequence on layer 2

The patch done with 4 oscillators an some modulations on filters and osc levels and delays.
The second layer is a "bass" (2 oscillators) and LFO4 modulating the LP filter.

Waldorf Quantum - A fake shimmer pad

"hi, i know sounds are a question of taste but i think the Waldorf Quantum is still one of my favorite synths ever.
I've done this "dreaming pad" simulating a "shimmer verb" without a shimmer verb.
The patch is from 'init' and consist of 3 oscillators ad some modulations.

Sometimes described as one of the last great synths of the analog era, the JUNO-106 became a favorite thanks to its warm sounds and instant sound-shaping ability. The new 4-voice JU-06 module continues this approach, with 23 parameters controllable via the front panel and that classic JUNO sound – complete with the much-loved JUNO chorus effect. "This DW-8000 is fully functional and in great condition. The Korg DW-8000 is a digital synth made by Korg from 1985-87. Sound is digitally generated from the DWGS (Digital Waveform Generator System) The DW-8000 has 8 voice polyphony in two modes, or one monophonic mode with all eight voices stacked. The analog VCF resonant filter and VCA both have independent ADBSSR envelopes. Parameters can be altered in real time via a single programmable slider. There are 64 presets that can be reprogrammed by the user, a velocity sensitive keyboard with programmable aftertouch, auto-bend, a simple arpeggiator and a digital delay unit. The digital delay was astonishingly good for the time, offering up to 512ms delay, phasing, flanging, chorusing and other time based effects. Both the Arpeggiator, Auto-Bend and Digital Delay make this synth an inspiring and great sounding machine to use."

"A classic synth for your consideration. Just back from a full servicing this month at Nightlife Electronics in Vancouver, BC (will provide paperwork). It is fully functional, calibrated, and has a clean bill of health. There is some slight speckling above the "BANK" section (pictured), but aside from that this piece is super clean. One pot was replaced, as well as one filter switch button. Great investment or studio piece.

1. Power supply has been fully recapped. Power regulators has also been replaced.
2. Whereever possible, all capacitors on voice boards, mainboard and misc boards has been upgraded to improve stability of voice tuning and signal coupling, etc.
3. Aftertouch sensors on keybed has also been upgraded with replacements from RetroactivSynthesizers.
4. Although some silkscreen on front panel has slightly faded, it is in very good condition with many years of service expected.
5. This item is switchable between 120V and 240V mains voltage.

"This special and wonderful Memorymoog was a driving force behind the distinctive Bar-Kays super-funk sound, both on the road and in their recording sessions at Ardent Studios in Memphis.

Ownership History
When the music industry started going crazy for all things digital and the Fairlight Audio Workstation was all the rage, the ownership of this Moog went from the Bar-Kays to Ardent Studios, and then to me in 1985. It then continued on in recording sessions at Ardent, then from there to my Memphis home studio, and in the early 90s went into temperature controlled storage at my house, being occasionally set up and played over the past couple decades.

Now Fully Reconditioned
Thoroughly and meticulously reconditioned by the renowned analog synth experts at British Audio in Nashville, this Moog plays as new, right down to the newly felted key stops. The 100% original cabinet has not been altered in any way; the dings and scratches were all well-earned in its early Bar-Kays days, and I wouldn't want to do away with a single nick.
