MUCKING ABOUT WITH THE EAR MODEL 12 MARK II
video upload by Peter Grenader
"The original Model 12 was super clean, and some said a bit tame. The Mark II addressed that by adding IFM SYNC and full range resonance into self oscillation. Oh, and a second filter as well.
Not what I would consider a proper full feature demo....just slapping up a quick patch plugging things in and twiddling knobs"

From a smoke free household
Upgraded sample memory from Factory 2mb(22 seconds) to 18mb (204.5 seconds)
The Sampler will be well packed for postage
You wont get the sound quality of this machine from a software sampler, not remotely close. Granted software is easier to use and more memory but the low end and filters on this are killer.
I used a special RGB to Scart cable bought from ebay to allow use with an external monitor with a scart input. I can not post the link but the sellers are retrocomputershack
It has a unique sound quality that can not be found in modern digital samplers. Their excellent converters coupled with great sounding filters make a really warm and rich sounding instrument.
I love the heavy, three-dimensional sound they produce with those amazing filters."

Modbap Introduces Meridian 14hp Dual Multimode Filter Array Eurorack Module
video upload by Modbap Modular
"Meridian is a 14hp dual multimode filter array, designed to offer users a choice between 4 selectable filter types per side and 4 selectable filter modes per side, plus 2 effects (drive & phase shift) and the ability to be pinged. This allows users the flexibility to easily create a range of unique sound textures and sonic landscapes using a single powerful eurorack filter module.
The name Meridian represents the idea of a meeting point or a convergence of different elements. Filters are often used to blend, shape, and refine different sounds into a cohesive whole. Meridian is often represented through the idea of a barrier or a line that separates parts. This concept mirrors the way the filter delineates different frequencies and aural elements, generating a defined contrast that shapes the overall sound.

Press release follows:
Modbap Modular expands Eurorack range with Meridian module announced as DUAL MULTIMODE FILTER ARRAY
LOS ANGELES, CA, USA: black-owned electronic music instrument manufacturer Modbap Modular is proud to announce upcoming availability of Meridian as the sixth module in its expanding Eurorack range — duly designed as a DUAL MULTIMODE FILTER ARRAY to offer users a choice between four selectable filter types per side and four selectable filter modes per side, as well as DRIVE CIRCUIT and PHASE SHIFTER effects, plus a (low- pass gate-style) PING ability — as of April 12 (in advance of appearing at The 2023 NAMM Show, April 13-15, in Anaheim, CA, USA)…
As a MULTIMODE FILTER ARRAY — as the wording subtly sited across the top of the instantly-recognizable Modbap Modular brand color- coordinated front panel points out, Meridian affords users the flexibility to easily create a range of sound textures and sonic landscapes using a single Eurorack module. Meridian represents the idea of a meeting point or a convergence of different elements; after all, filters are often used to blend, shape, and refine different sounds into a cohesive whole. When defining meridian as a word, it is often represented through the idea of a barrier or a line that separates parts; this concept mirrors the way that a filter delineates different frequencies and aural elements, generating a defined contrast that shapes the overall sound.
Saying that, then, the naming of Modbap Modular’s 14HP-width Meridian module conveys a sense of balance, harmony, and unity, while also suggesting a clear and definitive separation between different sonic elements. Indeed, it allows the use of two selectable — mixed or matched — filter types and two selectable — mixed or matched — filter modes to reshape and refine the source material into new cohesive textures.
Those two filters each have independently adjustable CUT OFF, RES (resonance), and SHAPE (contour) parameters. PRIMEFREQ is the center macro control of both filters in tandem. The module also boasts PING, an aptly-titled dynamic control feature, the activation of which is enabled through the PING input. It also allows CONFIGURATION of serial or parallel routing.
Besides boasting comb, ladder, OTA (Operational Transducer Amplifier), and vocal formant filter types alongside LP (low-pass), HP (high-pass), BP (band-pass), and NOTCH filter modes to generate a vast range of textures, Meridian’s sound-shaping capabilities are also furthered by its two distinctive and characterful effects: DRIVE CIRCUIT (with AMOUNT, TONE, and CRUSH controls) and PHASE SHIFTER (with PAN, DEPTH, and SPEED controls).
Clearly, all of Meridian’s key features can be modulated via CV (control voltage) inputs — synchronization to tempo can be achieved with the CLOCK input, allowing for clock-synchronized phase shifting, for instance.
In essence, Meridian was designed with tweak-ability and performance in mind — as is typical of Modbap Modular modules. Indeed, it is the perfect playmate for Osiris — operating itself as a powerful (frequency modulation- and phase modulation-including) seven-plus TIMBRE MODE 12HP-width BI-FIDELITYTM WAVETABLE OSC (oscillator) module, neatly-packed with an independent sub-oscillator, LOFI processing, extensive CV modulation capabilities, a PITCH quantizer, four banks of 32 x 32 wavetables per bank, the ability to load user wavetables via microSD card (not included), and its own free open-source wavetable editor (OsirisEdit).
Modbap Modular will be exhibiting at The NAMM Show 2023, April 13-15, in Anaheim, CA, USA. Feel free to swing by booth #9800 — shared with Canadian startup This.is.NOISE inc, where it will be demonstrating its entire Eurorack range, including the Meridian module announced as a DUAL MULTIMODE FILTER ARRAY.

Bengal by Max for Cats - Version 2
video upload by max forcats
https://www.ableton.com/en/packs/bengal/
A free update for Bengal and Live 11 users.
Bengal 2.0 adds MPE and small usability enhancements.
Max for Cats crafts Software Instruments, Effects, MIDI devices, Sound Design and Samples for Ableton Live.
Combining the textural intricacy of FM with the freeform approach of a modular system, Bengal is a sound designer’s dream with its four operators, eight voices of polyphony, six audio effects and a flexible modulation architecture centred on an interactive virtual patchbay.
Bengal is a semi-modular synth, meaning that although its component modules (operators, filters, etc) are all fixed, they can be patched together in a huge range of configurations in the giant Patch panel at the bottom. Connect square output sockets to round input sockets by dragging virtual patchcords between them – it couldn’t be easier. Bengal is also eight-voice polyphonic, so it’s just as at home blasting out huge chords as it is one-finger basslines.
Serious FM
Each of Bengal’s four operators generates its waveform using a bank of 20 editable sine wave partials or a wavetable – over 40 are included, and external samples can be imported by dragging and dropping them directly into the GUI. Independent ADSR envelopes with Curve shaping and optional Looping are also in place for every operator, along with Feedback controls for really making them scream. The modulator/carrier routing is chosen from a selection of six FM algorithms, giving access to a variety of sonic starting points right out of the gate.
Dual filters
Bengal gives you not one but two multimode resonant filters. Filter 1 offers a choice of five switchable types – Moog-style ladder Lowpass, regular Lowpass, Highpass, Bandpass, Notch and Comb (with adjustable bipolar Feedback) – as well as Drive and wet/dry Mix controls for dialling in analogue-flavoured saturation and parallel processing, respectively. Filter 2 can be placed after Filter 1 in the signal flow or fed in parallel with it, and morphs smoothly between Lowpass, Bandpass, Highpass and Notch types.
Wild at heart
Modulation is key to Bengal’s architecture and sound. Running from 0.1Hz to speeds in the audible range, the two LFOs serve as regular parameter modulators or additional FM sources, while both the six-segment Breakpoint envelope and ADSR envelope can be looped and curved. The eight-step sequencer’s no slouch, either, outputting MIDI notes or modulation data, and featuring scale snapping, swing, and randomisation of pitch and velocity.
For even more movement, Bengal’s four Modifiers let you mess with its modulation signals in various ways, including smoothing, scaling, applying mathematical functions, and four-way mixing. There are also six audio effects onboard – reverb, delay, distortion, chorus, limiting and stereo widening – for processing and polishing prior to the final output.
Patching playground
With more than 50 modulation source parameters and 60 targets available, Bengal makes assigning the two easy and creatively rewarding with the Patch panel. Simply drag virtual cables from sources to targets as you see fit – each connection point can accept multiple cables at once, so you can really go to extremes!

DTO stands for incestual, congenital desire between two twins. the seduction of doppelganger's [false] self; the dangers of incenstual love between conjoined twins, their parasitic yet intimate codependent and endlessly loyal existence. always generating feedback, always mirroring, always present. The Other is me, I am the Other.
'So we declare ourselves to be twins,' he agreed. 'Symmetrical creatures of a whim of nature, henceforth we shall be the same age, the same height, with the same hair, walking the highways and byways of the world in identical striped clothes with the same bow tied under our chins. But I warn you that people will turn around and look after us, half touched and half scornful, as always happens when something reminds them of the mysteries of their own beginnings.'

Arcaico Dominus #modularsynth #eurorack #synthesizer #vco
video upload by Arcaico Instruments
"Dominus is a dual complex vco Saw Core with integrated wavefolder. Each VCO is independent and has 4 waveforms and all the classic basic VCO controls, with a very stable 1v/oct control up to 10 octaves. The wavefolder section is independent and inside is connected to the vco, through the switches you can select one of the 3 waveforms, you can mix the two vcos or use only one. By modifying the sound in a non-linear way the wavefolder will create wonderful sounds. The Radius potentiometer adjusts the range over a certain frequency band. In the CV control you can use envelopes, lfos, and sequencers to create very complex soundscapes. The SHAPE knob adjusts, modifies and distorts the final result. The VCO1 and VCO2 potentiometers adjust the level of each VCO, various level settings will create very different sounds."

INTRANINE / full system eurorack jam / outboard mixer and effects
video upload by BRiES
"I'm going from the modular to the mixer with a Voltage Vibes breakout module and a bunch of adapter cables (I still need to drill a hole in the back of my case so the cable mess is out of sight/out of mind).
In this video I'm using 2 stereo outputs routed to my interface, but there's a third stereo group connected just in case I need 3 seperate stems. One group is going through a DBX 1066 compressor. The mixer channel for the kick is wired into the SC input on the compressor so I can do some ducking if I want.
I have a few eurorack effects connected to the aux sends on the mixer and the Lexicon MPX500 is connected to an aux as well. Now I can send reverbs into delays and back again with the twist of (a few) knob(s).
I'm very pleased with how it all turned out. There is some groundloop but it's very silent (less than -40dB) so I'm going to ignore it.
I already had this large mixer (A&H GL2200), I just wasn't using it (in fact it was obnoxiously in my way) so by going this route I actually created some space and saved money in the process. The eurorack solution for all of this flexibility is unfortunately far more expensive than the cost of a few XLR and adapter cables."
