Soniccouture Releases Flowstate: Harmonic Morphing Engine

Flowstate: Walkthrough Tour

"James from Soniccouture takes you through the main features and shows you how to use Flowstate.

Available Now: https://www.soniccouture.com/en/produ...

Read more about the Flowstate concept here: https://www.soniccouture.com/blog/tun..."

"Flowstate will instantly transform any audio clip into a malleable, shifting musical form.

Drag and drop any audio file to create flowing, morphing textures as you move between 5 different harmonic states. Everything from drum loops to pure noise can be transformed into a living, pitched musical soundscape.

TUNE THE WORLD - THE FLOWSTATE CONCEPT
The idea behind Flowstate was based on a video by Ayako Okamura in which she used filter resonance to “tune” field recordings to precise pitches. It was a nice trick, and seemed a fun way to introduce pitch to non-pitched sound. We used this technique for sound design in our Geosonics II instrument.

5 ambient sounds with VIRUS TI | SOUNDSCAPE, PAD and ARP [No talking, just sound]

video upload by Le Code

"Here's a synth that hasn't been updated in a very long time by its manufacturer and seems to have been abandoned. But the VIRUS TI is still very much valid in 2025, with presets perfect for ambient music.

I've selected 5 of them, including an arpeggiator (I couldn't resist adding it here, as I think it's magnificent).

Dreadbox Murmux Adept #1 | Winterdagen

video upload by Winterdagen

"When I went to Synthfest UK a few months ago, I fell completely in love with the Dreadbox Murmux Adept. I tried just about every poly synth I could find out there and this was the one that instantly mesmerized me. However I thought I would never be able to get my hands on one as only 300 units have been made and they'd been long gone. Until last week, when out of the blue one popped up.

I've been head over heels for this thing the past week. I made about 40 patches and wrote 10 new pieces of music on it in a few nights, it is really that inspiring. I'll be posting some of my first explorations on it over the next few weeks and here's the first one.

For this piece I thought it'd be interesting to see if I could get a patch to start out as an ambient pad, morphing into a plucked sound. I made use of the amazing effects on it (BBD + delay), both adding quite some noise to the signal chain. The delay gets noisy at long delay times and I absolutely love the way it sounds. In fact I compressed the sound afterward to make the ever changing noise of the effects more prominent because I love it so much. Murmux can definitely sound clean as well, but I love pushing the effects to get a more noisy signal to create an intimate world of sounds."

Sisyphus is a Eurorack module that combines granular manipulation with a palette of eight filters developed specifically for granular synthesis. Universal Synth Editor and Controller - Synth Bridge, VST and Standalone, for MAC and PC

video upload by mller30161

"Editor Homepage: https://uni-editor-synth-bridge.jimdo...

Here is my ‘Universal Editor and Controller Bridge’ for any synth, sampler, drum machine and so on that can be controlled with Midi Control Change data (MIDI CC).

My editor contains two functions, a universal Synth Editor to control Synths from the software and also to record controller automation (DAW) and a Hardware Controller - Synth Bridge to connect and control a synth with a Hardware Controller.

The advantage of my editor is that you don't need to know which Midi CC values your synth controller and your hardware controller have, because the values are read out from the synth and the hardware controller with the editor via ‘Midi Learn’ and you can quickly use your setup.

You can save the Editor settings and use them again quickly if required.

The Editor and Bridge are available for:
PC: As VST2 and Standalone for 32bit and VST2, VST3 and Standalone for 64bit Windows.
MAC: As VST2, VST3, AU and Standalone, compatible with MAC Intel and Silicon.

Ambient w/ Moog Subharmonicon & OP-1 field | Gloam 2025-02-17

video upload by atnr

"A piece created using the ‪@MoogSynthesizers‬ Subharmonicon and ‪@teenageengineering‬ OP-1 field—a minimal ambient work where a loop of gentle harmonies overlaps with a synth performance.

On the Subharmonicon, I slow down the tempo significantly and extend the VCF and VCA attack and decay to ensure a gradual transition of sound. The output is routed through ‪@ChaseBlissAudio‬ LOSSY, where filtering and effects are applied to achieve a lo-fi character.

The OP-1 field uses its built-in effects to apply deep reverb, and it is further processed with additional reverb and filtering through ‪@strymon‬ NIGHTSKY. The reverb is set with an extended LENGTH."
