Ciat Lonbarde Modular Synth (Sample Pack) | Drones Demo
video upload by Akihiko Matsumoto
"Crafted from the Unpredictable
https://akihikomatsumoto.sellfy.store...
This evolving sample pack is a curated collection of sounds generated entirely with the eccentric modular instruments of Ciat Lonbarde. Featuring raw sessions recorded with Peterlin and Plumbutter 2, it offers a unique sonic palette ranging from fractured noise textures to rich ambient drones and abstract one-shots.

The Handcrafted World of Ciat Lonbarde
Ciat Lonbarde is the creation of instrument builder and sound thinker Peter Blasser. His designs reject conventional synthesis in favor of circuits that behave like living organisms. These instruments respond with tactile irregularity and voltage-driven nuance. This collection is not a digital imitation. It is the real analog, shaped in real time by touch and signal.
For the Forward-Thinking Producer
Whether you’re working in experimental ambient, leftfield techno, cinematic sound design, or simply seeking sonic material that resists the algorithmic polish of modern production, these samples offer tactile character and genuine unpredictability. No two loops are alike. No modulation repeats.
What’s Inside
Atmospheric drones
Textural noise beds
One-shot percussive blips and pulses
Select loopable material with musical intent
Files designed to inspire both immediate use and deep sampling exploration
Free Lifetime Updates
Your purchase is not a one-time transaction. This pack is a growing archive. New recordings are added continuously at no extra cost. Previous buyers already have access to the latest updates. If you haven’t joined yet, now is a perfect time."
Yamaha VP1 Virtual Acoustic Synthesizer - Wonderland | Music By Christian Halten, Game Solitude
video upload by Christian Halten
You can find additional posts featuring the Yamaha VP1 here.
"The track Wonderland by Christian Halten is composed and performed on the very rare Yamaha VP1 Virtual Acoustic Synthesizer released in 1994. The arrangement was recorded using live overdubs, no other instruments nor external effects were used. The visuals for the track derive from the game Solitude by Jerboa Entertainment with kind permission. Solitude is available on Steam from the link below.
The VP1 is a 16 voice synthesizer that creates sounds based on Physical Modeling technique resulting in pseudo-acoustic tones. All sounds can be altered in real time (even material properties) with a lot of onboard controllers including three tactile expression pedals. Yamaha created a custom 64 core computing architecture for the VP1. At the time it was a very expensive instrument and only a few of them were built.
Christian Halten is a film music composer and creative director based in Berlin. He started his career at the age of 17 scoring a cinematic documentary published by National Geographic. Ever since he is passionate about exploring and expressing sound in music to picture. He worked in Los Angeles in various teams around Hans Zimmer. His latest work is a collaboration with composer Michael Stearns.

First look at the redesigned MIDIKalimba
video upload by MIDI IN
"Over the last few weeks I've been prototyping a redesigned MIDIKalimba - a touch-pad Kalimba-like MIDI controller. I'm now very happy with this and it's a joy to play.
MIDIKalimba's home page:
https://peacockmedia.software/kalimba"
"MIDIKalimba is a MIDI controller played like a kalimba with fingers or thumbs on touch-sensitive pads and can output:
- MIDI over USB
- MIDI over TRS (a TRS-5-pin DIN lead gives MIDI over 5-pin DIN)
You can set any scale/mode, octave and root note, for example C6 Mixolydian or G4 Minor Pentatonic, and then you'll be able to effortlessly play the notes in that scale and key.
It features velocity-sensitivity for expressive playing."
See https://peacockmedia.software.. for additional details including the user manual.

The CANON is a delay for CV and GATE, controlled by a Clock signal.
But it can be considered as a bank of sample and hold.
You will see how work the CLK and GATE input, using random or noise instead of regular input signals. and a lot of tips !

PMS Performance Music Systems SYNTAR

Don't miss the demo in the listing, previously posted here.

"This is the very rare 1980 Performance Music Systems (PMS) SYNTAR. The SYNTAR licensed the Electronic Music Systems EML designs made famous in the ElectroComp EML 101 and arranged them as a two oscillator synth with a multimode filter, Sample/Track & Hold, LFO, two EGs: ADSR and AD. All of the pots are sealed Type-J and some of them use the unique center 0 style for mixing in LFO or ENV. The oscillator wave forms are selected using a pot rather than a switch, which allows for a full range of shapes and you can go through low pass, bypass and highpass modes in the same linear fashion.
Sonically the SYNTAR is its own beast though most similar to the EML ElectroComp 101 and capable of growly moog style bass and leads with colorful resonant filter sweeps to very subtle pure tones thanks to how wave forms are variably dialed. The two printed pages are excerpts keyboard magazine's analog synthesizers features some details and pictures of the SYNTAR being shown at NAMM.
The left hand controls feature 9 wood blocks that control pots to allow for:
pitch up, pitch down
pitch modulation
sustain
filter up, filter down
filter modulation
amplitude modulation
nose. [sic]
Portamento control can be set to be directional and has a linear or exponential glide.
The power was rebuilt and includes a few modifications for CV and GATE out so that the SYNTAR could be used to drive modular analogue synthesizer. The Pratt-Reed keyboard has new bushings.
The original ATA flight case and a one off custom vinyl gig bag are included as well as a 50' and a 25' cable and stack of original patch sheets. The cable handles power, audio, external audio in, CV and gate so that you only plug in the 10 pin milspec cable to the SYNTAR.
The flightcase foam is collapsing, but fortunately the velvet covering is intact over it. The flight case is solid. This synth is now 45 years old with components from the mid 1970s. The original type-J sealed pots are all working, but are scratchy."

"This EML-200 was meticulously refurbished, with future-proofing measures. This work required 28 hours of skilled vintage synth tech time, plus parts costs.
In addition to repairs, we performed the following work to this EML200:
Replaced all electrolytic capacitors - an important preventative measure.
Power supply rebuilt - another important preventative measure: Replaced power supply electrolytic capacitors, regulators, cleaned heat sync, applied silicone lube.
Replaced power cord.
Installed new rubber feet.
Replaced jack washers and nuts.
Replaced front panel screws.
Cleaned inside and out.
All jacks cleaned for better connection.
Painstakingly removed, opened and cleaned and lubed all potentiometers to eliminate crackle.
Cleaned all switches to eliminate crackle.
Installed new grommets for reverb unit.
The end result is a beautiful example of this classic instrument that works like new again and is a real pleasure to play, without the problems one would normally expect from a 50 year old instrument that didn't receive this kind of treatment. It’s ready to play and record with. See photos - this is exactly what you’ll be getting, nothing more and nothing less.

Good news for LXR-02 owners (now let's list bugfix & feature requests)
video upload by Richard DeHove
"Although the recent 1.07 firmware update was just a maintenance release it's far more significant than an assortment of bugfixes. Instead of having to wait for the Great Eye of the original LXR developer to fall upon the LXR-02, Erica Synths can now do updates in-house.
So rather than feeling this wondrous little machine has been forgotten, this is a reason for great optimism for more development. Erica Synths surely wouldn't go to the effort of taking over development just to then shelf it all again.
Here I look at the main new feature which is parameter lock value display, which is an excellent excuse to look at how parameter locks work in general.
For the future I'd like to see song mode fixed; the delay effects get proper tempo sync options; and the lighting changed on the buttons so you can see which patterns are empty and which have data.
Perhaps this may be a good place to put your bugfix and feature requests...

DYNACORD VRS-23 vs.SRS-56 // Analog "Reverb" // Clavia Nord Modular
video upload by LESINDES
"There was somebody asking what the diefferendcs was between DYNACORD VRS-23 and SRS-56.:
Both are analog delays with 'reverb' capabilities.
SRS-56 is by far the more flexible delay and it is in stereo. VRS-23 delay is only mono, and VRS processes only mono signals. SRS "reverb" algorithms do not provide the same reverb ambience as the VRS does IMHO. VRS is easier to handle. It lets you not only adjust modulation (LFO) depth/amount but also speed.
I have just finished a demo video which I will upload very soon.
DYNACORD SRS-56 you could modulated stereo crossfeedback bucket brigade delay with presets custom settings. A big vintage machine bringing back the pad feeling of late seventies. The SRS-56 has become quite rare these days. It is a sibling af the fomous VSR-23 with its very special pseudo reverb."

These are not your average machines. Designed and handcrafted by artist and inventor Paul Tas, each device in this exclusive collection is either:
• A limited production piece, or
• A completely unique, singular creation—no duplicates exist.
With unconventional, often surreal designs, these devices blur the line between functional object and sculpture. They may serve obscure or symbolic purposes, built more for exploration and expression than utility—think of them as machines that tell stories or instruments for imaginary tasks.
Every piece is:
• Individually constructed
• Visually striking
• Mechanically unusual
• Often part of a broader artistic vision"

Teenage Engineering OP-1 w/ Roland P-6: A Series of Quirky Lofi Beats
video upload by goth jocks
"The results of my first couple of weeks with the Teenage Engineering OP-1. It’s a complete 360 from the sequencer heavy workflow of the Elektron boxes. Spiced things up with some FX from the Roland P6 and Source Audio Collider
I remember the first time I saw one of these 10 years ago, I thought it looked like some sort of retro futuristic magic device. I didn’t know anything about synths, but I wanted one so bad. But the price! As I continued to learn more about the synthesizers, the price barrier grew. This thing started to seem like a complete rip off.
Now, thanks to an unexpected trade offer, the Teenage Engineering OP-1 is finally in my possession. My thoughts: worth the wait… and the price"
