Biopower Audio Introduces Cerebellum Logic Matrix

"CEREBELLUM is a Boolean logic matrix for Eurorack modular synthesizer. It can craft complex polyrhythms, arrange generative structures that evolve over the course of a piece of music, and even produce gnarly timbres when combining audio rate signals.

The module accepts inputs on three rows, which may be operated upon by signals from four columns before output. An operation is active when a latching 15mm LED switch is engaged at each node, which displays the new signal. A second switch allows a choice of AND or XOR operands.

To extend the module’s functionality, each column provides a clock divider and static +5V “on” and NOT invert switches. The dividers alternate between a binary counter /x^2 (2 through 128) and a decade counter /x (integers 2 through 8) paired with a LATCH flip-flop.

A single signal at IN ALL addresses all columns, which have outputs after their division and invert operations. All dividers receive individual resets and RST ALL. Columns 1, 2, and 3 are normalled to rows A, B, and C respectively, allowing the creation of seven inter-related signals from one input.

CEREBELLUM is 30 hp and 38mm deep. Max current draw is 100ma (primarily from LED use!)

"I played at Attack Release in Glasgow in July 2025.
Sadly the audio from the gig recording was crocked so it didnt make it, but I did film a rehearsal a few days before. The gig itself was better than this take (of course it was ;o) and I had tweaked the set quite a bit from this for the show, but it gives the general idea of what I played.

Attack Release is an amazing night and I thoroughly recommend it if you are ever in Glasgow on the last Wednesday of the month. It has to be one of the best gigs I have played with the best crowd ever. Sad the recording of the night didnt work out though."

Model: Akai EWI1000 controller only (no sound module). Condition: Overall good; strap hook has some rust from a past strap modification but i prefered to not touch it. Special Value: Genuine “Mike Brecker” autograph sealed under protective film since 2001; still clear and intact today.

“To my knowledge after extensive research, this is the only Akai EWI ever held and signed by Michael Brecker. No other examples have surfaced in autograph collections, auction archives, or collector networks. That rarity adds powerful uniqueness and historical weight to this instrument.”

I paired the new ‪@instruo‬ Pocket Scion with the Torso S4, and the Pocket Scion is running three MIDI channels on the S4. For this session, I hooked it up to a rosemary plant, letting it capture the plant’s biofeedback and translate it into sound.

The result? Dreamy, spherical tones straight from this beautiful plant.

The performance was recorded live, going through goes through a mixer with Delay & Reverb send (UAFX Starlight Echo Station & Golden Reverberator), then lightly mixed and mastered in Pro Tools. "Here's a video about trying to find a cool case layout that helps to improvise with external instruments. In my case, the mellotron. I'll be using Arbhar for symphonic textures, and Morphagene and BitBox for the blips and atmospheres. Dutch Modular Fest 2025 was hosted by WORM Rotterdam, an amazing creative space for experimental electronic music. It's like a museum where you can book classic gear and record something really special. DMF footage was shot by ‪@SERUMMM‬ who made cool DMF impressions."

The track was produced on the M8 Tracker Model:02, then performed through the ‪@ChaseBlissAudio‬ MOOD MKII with added micro-loops, reverb, and pitch-shift effects.

Beats are mainly triggered using the M8’s Sampler. The main chords are also played by loading synth samples into the Sampler.

At times, the DJ Filter cutoff on the M8 is adjusted during performance."
