KALEIDOSCOPE. Random Sequencer Teaser.

video upload by Vadjuse

"In this video, I use only one kaleidoscope track. The note changes are generated by a step modulator, which modulates the oscillator frequency.

The timbre is a sawtooth. The filter with resonance is opened by a volume envelope in a cyclic mode. The envelope also suppresses the feedback of the comb filter. By adjusting the envelope decay time, we also control the strength of the feedback ducking.

During the video, I increase the FM synthesis level, overdrive, and feedback of the comb filter to radically change the sound."

大雨-Ooame: Promoting melancholia with digital radicalism and a cub

video upload by Giorgio Sancristoforo

"In an age in which artificial intelligences spew out thousands of pseudo-commercial hits every day, making algorithmic music may seem like an exercise that has lost its meaning. And yet, for some reason, my unconscious has pushed me for decades — from time to time — to create electronic music without using sequencers, synthesizers, samples, or plugins, relying only on mathematics, writing computer programs that give shape to my sensibility without ever tempting me with the absurdity of the prompt.

It would be a lost battle anyway. A commercial AI would never be able to create these strange melodies full of errors and digital stutters, because this is music for outcasts, for nostalgics of a future betrayed by the massification of tools, by cleverness, by pleasant sound design, by cliché, by winning formulas and shortcuts constantly winking at the listener.

I have always believed that real experimental music is music that destabilizes the listener’s very concept of music, and I still believe it.

This is paradoxical music, in which the soul attempts to transmit nostalgia, intimacy, and melancholy through code — and precisely because it is born from code, it is the most anti-AI thing I can imagine.

It is not original music; music ex nihilo does not exist, and it does not pretend to say anything innovative. Yet it tries to communicate that it is still possible to imagine the algorithm outside the algorithm."

Tech Talk: K.A.S.I. - Serge Modular, Improvisation & Organic Movement (Electronic Beats TV)

video upload by Telekom Electronic Beats TV

"For this episode of Electronic Beats Tech Talk, we visited Kasi in the studio to explore her unique approach to live electronic performance, modular synthesis, and hardware-driven sound design.
She is currently studying Electronic Music Production and Performance at Catalyst – Institute for Creative Arts and Technology.
Working with the Serge Modular System, selected Eurorack modules, the Erica Synths Perkons, and the Elektron Analog Four MKII, Kasi creates a sound world between experimental ambient, hypnotic textures, and raw, groove-driven techno.
In this conversation, she talks about improvisation, real-time interaction, unstable modulation, and why she treats sound as a living system — shaped by psychedelic experiences, abstract art, and organic movement.

MEMS Prototype Of The Buchla Location Voltage Processor

video upload by Source Of Uncertainty

"The 223 Location Voltage Processor is intended to be used with the 227 System Interface Module in a quad setup. It contains four separate voltage controlled processors that output an X and a Y voltage for the 227 assign inputs. The top row of knobs defines the operating range by adjusting the baseline of operation. The Balance adjusts the left to right panning. The Cross-Pan controls row modifies both the X and Y outputs and the exact function changes with the setting of the Balance control. These controls are described in more detail under Operations below."

Live Granular Improvisation // Torso S-4 2.2 Beta Firmware Exploration

video upload by Andre Bregegere

"In this session, I am diving into the 2.2 beta firmware update, which introduces a major overhaul and exciting new features to the Mosaics engine—the S-4’s powerful granular processor. To help demystify the workflow, I have annotated the performance to explain the specific techniques, modulation, and parameters I am tweaking in real time.

Patch Breakdown:
• Track 01: A melodic sample selected straight from the S-4 stock sound library, heavily manipulated via the new Mosaics features.
• Track 02: A stock drum sample, also maniulated with the reworked Mosaics engine.
• Track 03: I introduce a live layer by sampling my own singing voice on the fly using the S-4's internal microphone.

You Only Think Vintage Synths Sound Better

video upload by Noir Et Blanc Vie

"So I was playing my Waldorfs, just making some music and looking for inspiration, and a thought came to me... Am I only using my Waldorf XT because I 'like it' not because it's actually better in anyway? While there are so many videos comparing synths online, I keep wondering....WHY? Like, what's the actual goal with this. I personally wonder if there's psychology behind why some can't just move forward and make sound instead of thinking 'I wonder if X makes sounds like Y' when the shortest answer would easily be 'why not just get the X?'. When I think about music I'm often confused by the idea of all this... so maybe ask yourself this.... 'What's your goal'. When you see life as only one constant stream, you cannot go back, only forward, I think so many of the choices I make to create come from that. Rather than compare, rather than spend my time purchasing, why not be content, why not just create....? A question for you today."

One Synth, One Track - Waldorf Protein

video upload by GEOSynths

"As there are quite a lot of Reviews for the Waldorf Protein out there, I decided to make a complete Track, only using the Protein. I'd made a few Patches when I first got it and while it is very well thought out, I decided to make an Editor using Google Gemini to help with my workflow. It doesn't cover all Parameters, as it uses CC's which are limited to 128, some of which are reserved.

First thing I did was to make the Drum Sounds and then Sample them into Native Instruments Maschine and made a Kit (Which will be available on my Patreon for download) and then I put them through Logic Pro, I use Maschine as a Sound Module in Logic, so I can still change MIDI notes and route each sound to a dedicated fader.

Next, I tracked each Sound, all of which are Custom made and use the internal FX of the Protein. In the mix I added a touch of Room Reverb for the Drums and the Lead has some extra Delay, everything else is from the Protein."

Minimal Ambient with Lo-Fi Tape Piano | Ink Stain 2026-05-19 by atnr

video upload by atnr

"A minimal ambient piece featuring resonant lo-fi tape loop piano.

This work is created with Ambient Ø, OP-1 field, and tape loops.

On Ambient Ø, sequence phrases with built-in delay are played in a random order.

On the OP-1 field, a steel pan-like sound is looped using the ENDLESS sequencer. The output is processed with reverb and filtering through the NIGHTSKY.

On the tape loop, a one-minute piano performance is recorded and played back. The signal is processed through the TIMELINE with delay, and the feedback intensity is varied."
