"Demoing the Earthquaker Devices Levitation with the Korg Monologue. The Levitation infuses a much-needed feverish psychedelia back into the world of Rock ’n’ Roll. The pedal is simultaneously a homage to Austin’s psych rock heritage and a variation of their Ghost Echo pedal. In terms of the latter, the Levitation ditches the Attack and Dwell parameters in favor of controls for Tone, Decay, Atmosphere, and Length, affording it the ability to wear many different hats: the pedal can produce reverbs reminiscent of the classic 60’s chambers, springs, and plate reverbs of yesteryear.

"Guys .pads comes with Digital Modor NF-1 I added to it an analog filter OMF-1 Mode Machines which slightly filters and adds resonance to the pads .Around 1:20 I added Leipizg-S (Analogue Solutions) and the sequencer is a built-in sequencer in Leipzig. The KORG volca bass does get a bad rep from time to time reading forums on the internet etc. People have asked me on several occasions, dude, why do you have two of them, whats the point? Well, for me the point is that it's a great synth, and it sounds awesome considering the low price and with this video I would like to showcase what can be done with some nice FX.

I have really never done a solo jam with the volca bass before, I wanted to make it as massive as possible.. and as you can see I brought the big guns. :D Strymon BlueSky, Earthquaker devices space spiral, and the Keeley engineering caverns. :D Not really what You would call a fair competition to any synth out there.. but come on, let's have some fun :D

Not in the picture, there is a tc. electronics ditto X2 loopers on which I start a pre-recorded phrase 1/4 into the track (also recorded on the volca bass) .. so it's NOT playing on the sequencer :)

Also, there is an audible click at the end where I turn on the caverns shimmer reverb to end the jam... but hey, it's live right and stuff like that is expected?

Gear used: KORG volca bass, through the X2 looper, into the space spiral with some modulated delay.. into the caverns on a timed delay slighly off to the EQD to give a stereo feel.. then into the blue sky which has a modulated room reverb with a loooong decay.

here is a story... Thing is that quite some time ago I was watching the knobs YT channel and this really quirky feature movie popped up about a company in Akron, EarthQuaker Devices.. I had seen some demos on their pedals before, but mainly for guitars, sort of discarded them because they didn't seem to fit my sound.. but this new feature video really triggered my interest and I decided to order a couple pedals.. time passed and I forgot about it. Much later I saw again a brilliant knobs demo of the new space spiral pedal and thought, what the heck.. let's save up some cash and buy that and the transmisser.. said and done.

Some months later.. I finally got them.. and O_M_G.... they are SO spaced out, anything I put through them sounds like a zombie unicorn taking a rainbow dump on the synth and sends it to a cave on Saturn (You completely get it right?). It's incredible how musical they are... I will continue messing around on other tracks, not sure where I will go next, but I don't feel they are one trick unicorns as the sonic capabilities seem to be huge.

The tune you hear is me recycling my own Volca keys movement track... using the Volca keys that passes through the reface CP before it hits the space spiral and then the transmisser.

Note, no levels and/or other stuff was tended to... I just turned the gear on and started recording, so you might hear some occasional hum and hiss.. eg. no sugar coating, exactly the same way it would sound at your place.

Note, I have the ditto looper on the floor playing a reverse piano thingy mid track.. just to add some extra harmonics. All else you hear, is the keys with some Yamaha reface CP layered from time to time.
