Sequential Adds Stack and Split Capability to Prophet-10 & Voice Expansion Card for Prophet-5

Prophet-5 Voice Expansion Card & Exploring Bi-Timbral Stack & Split On The Prophet-10 - With J3PO video upload by Sequential

"Sequential has released two major enhancements for the Prophet-5 and Prophet-10 Rev 4 synthesizers. The first is an easy-to-install voice expansion card for the Prophet-5 that expands its polyphony to 10 voices, enabling it to benefit from the second enhancement — a new OS that adds bi-timbral, stack and split capability to 10-voice Prophet-5 and Prophet-10 synths.

2.0 OS: https://www.sequential.com/updating-t..."

And a video by Matt Johnson Jamiroquai: Note you can stack the Prophet-5 with the expansion installed. You'll find the press release below. As for the better value, you can do the math. The Prophet-5 + Expansion is less, but you have to install it and you don't get the Prophet-10 badge. :)

Sequential Prophet 10 just got a lot better!! video upload by Matt Johnson Jamiroquai

The press release:

San Francisco, CA—September 7, 2021—Sequential today announced two major enhancements for their acclaimed Prophet-5 and Prophet-10 Rev 4 synthesizers. The first is a new OS that adds bi-timbral, stack and split capability to the Prophet-10. The second is an easy-to-install voice expansion card for the Prophet-5 that increases its polyphony to 10 voices, enabling it to benefit from the new OS.

With a ten-voice instrument and the new OS, players can stack two different programs together for more powerful, complex sounds. Each program is allocated 5 voices of polyphony, allowing 5-note bi-timbral operation. Alternatively, players can split the keyboard into two separate performance zones, each with a different program. This allows forbi-timbral performance of bass and leads, or bass and pads, for example.

To use the new stack and split feature, Prophet-10/expanded Prophet-5 owners will need to upgrade to version 2.0 of the operating system. The OS upgrade is provided free of charge to Prophet owners and is available on Sequential’s website. The Prophet-5 voice expansion card is available directly from Sequential and includes instructions for installation.

“We’re excited to bring stack and split capability to 10-voice Prophets,” said Sequential founder Dave Smith. “It gives even more musical versatility to an already awesome-sounding instrument. Musicians are going to love the sound design possibilities of bi-timbral stacks. And players will be able to make good use of splits in live performance.”

Sequential CEO David Gibbons had this to say about the enhancements: “There’s nothing more satisfying than making a legendary instrument even more powerful than its original incarnation. Turning the Prophet-10 or an expanded Prophet-5 into a bi-timbral synth takes it to new places as an expressive instrument. That’s always been Sequential’s first priority: Putting great-sounding, expressive musical tools into the hands of musicians.”

The Prophet-5 and Prophet-10 Rev 4 reintroduced the music world to Sequential’s most famous and beloved instrument: the Prophet-5. The instruments revisit a landmark era in American analog synthesizer design and are an authentic and authoritative return to roots for the company.

Faithful to the original, the instruments feature five voices with two multi-waveform analog oscillators, resonant analog low-pass filters and amplifiers, and a filter and amplifier envelope per voice. Modulation is provided by a multi-waveshape LFO and Poly Mod, a ground-breaking modulation scheme for its time that allowed the filter envelope and oscillator B to be routed to a variety of destinations including filter cutoff frequency, oscillator A frequency, and oscillator A pulse width.

The Prophet-5 voice expansion card has a US MAP of $899 and is available directly from the Sequential. It is compatible with both keyboard and desktop models of the Prophet-5.

Sequential Introduces New Prophet-5 and Prophet-10 Desktop Modules

Title says it all. Press release follows:

Sequential Announces Prophet®-5 and Prophet®-10 Desktop Modules

San Francisco, CA—Jan 12, 2021—Fast on the heels of the reintroduction of its legendary Prophet-5 synthesizer, Sequential today announced that it has created a desktop version of the acclaimed instrument. As with the keyboard version, the desktop model will be available in both five- and ten-voice configurations, dubbed the Prophet-5 desktop module and Prophet-10 desktop module, respectively. They feature the same authentic vintage sound and front-panel controls as the Prophet-5 and Prophet-10 keyboards, but in a smaller form factor designed for portability and space-conscious studios.

“Our introduction of the Prophet-5 and Prophet-10 Rev 4 keyboards has been hugely successful. At the same time, a lot of people have been asking us for an easy way to fit them into a smaller studio space or into a touring rig,” commented Sequential founder and original Prophet-5 designer Dave Smith. “It was an easy decision to create a desktop module to fill that need. The great thing is, we managed to fit the same big, ballsy sound of the full Prophet-5 into a desktop model. It sounds every bit as awesome.”

Like the original, the new Prophet-5 and Prophet-10 modules feature two multi-waveform analog oscillators, analog resonant low-pass filters and amplifiers, and a filter and amplifier envelope per voice.

And just like the new Prophet-5/10 Rev 4 keyboards, the modules feature genuine Curtis VCOs and filters as used in the Prophet-5 Rev 3, as well as the Dave Rossum-designed SSI 2140 filter — the modern counterpart of the original SSM 2040 Rossum designed in the Prophet-5 Rev 1 and Rev 2. A Rev switch on the front panel allows users to switch between the two as desired.

Also present is the new Vintage knob, which loosens up the oscillators, filters, and envelopes from voice to voice as they typically are in vintage Prophet-5s. Users can dial in progressively more vintage character from a very stable “4,” as in Prophet-5 Rev4, all the way to “1,” as in Prophet-5 Rev1, which was the most temperamental of all Prophet-5s. The original factory sound set is included as well.

Other modern enhancements include velocity sensitivity and aftertouch to increase expressiveness, as well as MIDI and USB connectivity. Control voltage and gate ins/outs are also present for connecting modular synths and other gear. The new modules are housed in a premium-quality, steel case with hand-oiled sustainable black walnut heartwood trim.

Both modules will be available in February. The Prophet-5 desktop module has a US MAP of $2,499.
The Prophet-10 desktop module has a US MAP of $3,299.

Sequential Re-Introduces the Prophet-5 and Prophet-10 Synthesizers

"The new Prophet-5 is Dave Smith's return to the analog poly synth that changed the world. It embodies all three revisions of the legendary synth — Rev1, Rev2, Rev3 — and now, the Rev4. History never sounded better.

Soundtrack exclusively by Prophet-5. Yes, even the drums."

Both models will be available in October. The Prophet-5 has a US MAP of $3,499. The Prophet-10 has a US MAP of $4,299. Note there is an additional video demo by INHALT further below.

And the press release (pics below):

"Sequential Reintroduces the Prophet®-5, the Synth that Revolutionized an Industry

San Francisco, CA—Oct 1, 2020—After months of clandestine development, Sequential today announced the reintroduction of its most famous and beloved instrument: the Prophet-5. Timed to coincide with founder Dave Smith’s 70th year, the instrument revisits a landmark era in American analog synthesizer design and marks an authentic and authoritative return to roots for the legendary pioneer of electronic instruments.

“It’s not often that you get to revisit your past, retrieve some of its magic, and give it new life,” said Dave Smith. “The Prophet-5 was one of the most exciting instruments to appear in an equally exciting time for music and technology. It’s gratifying to rediscover that its sound and aesthetics are just as appealing now as they were then.”

Faithful to the original, the new Prophet-5 features five voices with two multi-waveform analog oscillators, resonant analog low-pass filters and amplifiers, and a filter and amplifier envelope per voice.

The new Prophet-5 features original, genuine Curtis VCOs and filters as used in the Prophet-5 Rev3, as well as the Dave Rossum-designed SSI 2140 filter, the modern counterpart of the original SSM 2040 Rossum designed in the Prophet-5 Rev1 and Rev2. “We made the new Prophet-5 the best of all Prophets by embodying all three revisions of the original. We did this by adding a Rev switch to the front panel, so you can choose your preferred filter.”

Smith continued, “We also researched what made the original P-5 sound the way it did — organic and alive — and found that a lot of that desirable character was due to fluctuations and differences in the response times and frequencies of the individual oscillators, filters, and envelopes from voice to voice. So we also added a Vintage knob that loosens all of them up like they were in the old days. You can dial in progressively more vintage character as you go from a very stable “4,” as in Prophet-5 Rev4, all the way to “1,” as in Prophet-5 Rev1, which was the most temperamental of all Prophet-5s. We’ve even included the original factory sound set for the full vintage experience.”

Other modern enhancements include velocity sensitivity and aftertouch to increase expressiveness, as well as MIDI and USB connectivity. Control voltage and gate ins/outs are also present for connecting modular synths and other gear. The new Prophet-5 is housed in a collector-worthy, premium-quality, steel and hand-oiled sustainable black walnut heartwood body, with a full, five-octave, semi-weighted Fatar keybed.

Sequential is simultaneously offering the Prophet-10, a ten-voice version of the synthesizer with the same sound engine and collector-worthy design. “I originally designed the first Prophet in both five-voice and ten-voice versions. But the five-voice model was the one that achieved mass production. We thought it would be fun and fitting to reintroduce the ten-voice as well, to make the circle complete.” Sequential Circuits’ later product, the dual-manual, bi-timbral Prophet-10, was a different instrument in both concept and execution.

Both models will be available in October. The Prophet-5 has a US MAP of $3,499. The Prophet-10 has a US MAP of $4,299."

Sequential Prophet 5 Rev4 INHALT Sound Design of Factory Patches Demo

"There are few synthesizers that spark deep emotions and reverence. The Prophet 5 is one of them. Its history is marked by both the counter and the dominant cultural works; wether listening to the independent outings of New Musik and Skinny Puppy, the art of Japan and Sakamoto, the disco of Cowely, the soundtracks of Carpenter or the pop of McCartney and Madonna, it collectively becomes clear that the Prophet 5 is the great enabler of the modern musical expression. If the Model D is the left hand the Prophet 5 is the right. And rightly so, as its genius and genuineness transitioned the 5 from "tool of novelty" firmly into the place of an exuberant enabler of the creative expression. From decade to decade, its design and purity allowed it to slot into a music production unweathered and unbiased by whatever style is in vogue. Yet, it's always fashionable and it always sits right where it's supposed to. Put simply, it's a workhorse that inspires. Whatever the revision. And now, that story, that lineage continues with the Rev 4.

It's with absolute honor, gratitude, and exhilaration that I accepted the offer to work on the factory patches for Sequential's latest chapter in the story of the Prophet 5. Sound designing alongside the superb voicing team has been a wonderful collaboration with a company I consider family and my way to give thanks for the career that the Prophet 5 has helped me build. Unlike other projects I've done in the past, part of my testing of the Rev 4 included putting it through an actual studio music production. I'm currently in the middle of producing two LP's (the artists Some Ember and Patriarchy) and the Rev 4 got used heavily on both. The main question I sought to answer: "does it handle the same as a vintage unit". What became abundantly clear: the Rev 4 isn't like a Prophet 5, isn't inspired by a Prophet 5, ins't referencing a Prophet 5; it is a Prophet 5. Through and through in every sense of the very defining characteristics of the 5. It's a Prophet 5. Period. And in many regards it's better. Why?

Rapid fire MIDI, Fatar keybed, both genuine SSM (SSI) filters and VCAs, genuine Curtis filters and oscillators, a perfectly tuned LFO and envelopes, the ability to actually save LFO amount settings, velocity, aftertouch, the same voice allocation as the original ... and zero repairs needed with no sacrifice to the soul of what makes the 5 the 5. It looks the same with minor additions that can be completely ignored if you choose. You can play it like the original and you can expect it to do exactly what the original does. Or you can take advantage of all of the modern facilities. I also made a set of patches that were the same sounds on both a vintage 5 and the Rev 4 and quickly cycling playing the same passage on the 2 instruments, for all in the room, it was impossible to tell what's what and who's who.

The amount of care, attention to detail, and workmanship that has gone into the Rev 4 is remarkable and I am honored to have been a part of the team putting it through the paces. Sequential is a special company. It's marked by integrity, friendship, care, and carries on a tradition of producing musical instruments from that platform. The Rev 4 is a Prophet 5 and ONLY Sequential can make that.

Please note, the Rev 4 in the video is a prototype unit and I recorded this with a beta firmware. As such, while the synth was largely done there are some changes both to the panel and to the OS that are in the final shipping version (obviously). The Prophet 5 was recorded straight into Pro Tools HD and no post processing or fx were added. What you're hearing is the raw Rev 4."

Sequential Prophet 5/10: a Musical Exploration

video upload by Synth Universe

"A musical exploration of sounds and timbres on this classic analog synth using custom-created patches. All the sounds you hear in this video were created by me on the Prophet 10 and include brasses, pads, keys, bass, poly synth, sines, chimes, strings and FX.

I wanted to retain the raw sound, so in the making of this video no chorus, modulation or thickening effects were used (software or hardware). Note that the Prophet 5/10 has no internal effects. The only effects used were reverb (mainly the Valhalla Vintage Verb plugin) or delay (Logic native delay plugin). No EQ was used to enhance either the low end or the high end.

The Prophet 5/10 has a single mono audio output, so to create a stereo image I used old-school layering in my DAW. When I recorded each audio take, I also captured MIDI data and used this to record new tracks of the original take. Using the Vintage knob on the Prophet set at 3 means that each MIDI take has subtle differences in pitch, envelopes and filter. Panning and slight detuning of the tracks creates, to my ears, a nice rich stereo image and retains the character of the sound.

** If you own a Prophet 5 rev 4 or Prophet 10, all the sounds featured in this video will soon be available to purchase as part of the Synth Universe Prophet 5/10 rev 4 Soundbank. Please subscribe and enable notifications and you will be alerted on release.**

Although the Prophet 10 now has dual layer functionality, all the sounds in this video are single layer and could be played on a Prophet 10 or a Prophet 5 rev 4.

VEMIA is Peter Forrest's auction house. He is the author of The A-Z of Analogue Synthesizer Books. Pic of the inside below.

"Vintage Sequential Circuits Prophet 10 Dual Manual Keyboard Synthesizer with Flight Case This Prophet 10 is in very good condition, and is fully functional, although the Braemer tape drive has not been tested. Has factory MIDI and sequencer, and the original blue Prophet-10 flight case on wheels. This may be one of the last Prophet-10s made, as the S/N is 0444. It's big and heavy!! Includes power cord, electronic copies of the operation manual and service information, and one original Sequential footswitch. The flight case foam is serviceable, but could use replacement. The synth is wrapped in plastic within the flight case. Full pictures are here [captured below]. By far the most prevalent of the original Prophet 10 models, the Prophet 10 Rev3 was a better built version than the previous 2 iterations for more consistent and reliable performance. It used Curtis Electronics Manufacturing chips, and featured 2 VCOs per voice, a low pass resonant filter with ADSR, LFO, & cv/gate controls. This rarely seen monster analog synth is by far one of the fattest and nicest vintage synthesizers.

Sequential Prophet 5/10 rev 4 | Sound Bank Demos

video uploads by Synth Universe

"In this video I play original sounds created for the Prophet 5/10 rev 4 synthesizer. I demo patches 1 - 20 from the Synth Universe Prophet 5/10 rev 4 Sound bank: a bank of 80 patches containing a wide range of pads, strings, brass, poly synths, keys, bass, leads, tuned percussion and sines.

Each patch is demonstrated first raw in mono, as output straight from the synth. For the majority of the patches I then repeat the demo but with stereo and reverb or delay applied, so you can hear the sounds more like they would be in a musical context. Please refer to the other three videos for demos of sounds 21 - 80. The time stamps below mean you can easily access specific sounds in this video and compare MONO with STEREO.

what's the difference between the prophet 5 reissue and the prophet 6?

J3PO

"In this video, we take a deep dive into the key differences between the Sequential Prophet 5/Prophet 10 (Rev 4) Reissue and the Sequential Prophet 6. This video focuses on the sound and functionality of the two synthesizers; where they differ and where they overlap.

Chapters:

00:12 - Introduction
00:58 - Part 1: Prophet 6 "main" differences
04:03 - Part 2: Prophet 5/10 "main" differences
06:48 - Part 3: "direct" sound comparisons (similar patches)
27:17 - Part 4: patches that begin to reveal inherent differences
32:44 - Part 5: Prophet 6 "unique" patches
39:31 - Part 6: Prophet 5/10 patches, demonstrating raw "tone" & "timbre"
48:55 - Part 7: Conclusion and Final Thoughts

The two synthesizers were recorded directly into Pro Tools at 48khz with Universal Audio Apollo preamps. No external FX were used in the recording of the sounds unless where noted in the video. The two synths were leveled in terms of gain as carefully as possible to create the most unbiased listening environment.

Three things to note when viewing this video:

1. I use the terms "Prophet 5" and "Prophet 10" interchangeably, as the only difference between the two synths is that the Prophet 10 has five additional voices.

1. Though I contributed to some of the "factory" presets for the Sequential Prophet 5/10 (rev 4), we are not comparing "factory" presets in this video. I have crafted all the presets in this presentation to show you as carefully as possible how similar the synths can sound, and how vastly different they can sound.

2. We will not be discussing any of the technicalities of "what's under the heard" in terms of components, but rather, focusing on sound and functionality, and the experience. For technical information, please visit www.sequential.com."

"Part 2 continues my musical exploration of sounds and timbres on this classic analog synth using custom-created patches. All the sounds you hear in this video were created by me on the Prophet 10 and include pads, keys, bass, poly synth, leads, sines, chimes, strings and FX.

The Prophet 5/10 has a single mono audio output, so to create a stereo image I used old-school layering in my DAW. THE NEW PROPHET 5 REISSUE - JULIAN "J3PO" POLLACK DEMO

J3PO

"Well, it's finally here, people! Sequential has reissued the iconic, legendary, beloved and incredible Prophet 5 synthesizer. This is truly an incredible moment in synthesizer history. I am so humbled and honored to have been asked to be part of the team to sound design and create new factory presets for this instrument.

In this video, you will hear a bunch of sounds I created for the Prophet 5. Some are included factory, while others will appear in a sound bank I will release in due time.

It is important to note that the Prophet 5 reissue, like the original, does NOT contain any onboard effects. In this video, I used combinations of chorus, delay, and reverb and other FX to create the best ambience for the recording. I used the Strymon trifecta: Mobius (modulation), Timeline (delay), and Big Sky (reverb). Some folks may ask, "don't you miss having onboard FX?" The answer: not at all. Like all of the great vintage synthesizers, all the weight and effort was put into the synthesizer components. To me, it's almost better to have your signal processing separate. Then you have the best of both worlds.

The Prophet 5 reissue (or “Rev 4”) has been built to the same specs as the original, with a few subtle additions for stability, patch memory, and extended features. For all intents and purposes, this IS the original Prophet 5, but built in 2020. I can tell you, it is a gorgeous instrument. The way it sounds, the way it feels, the way it looks, the nostalgia…everything!

Not only is the Prophet 5 being reissued, but also a 10 voice version is being reissued: the Prophet 10! Yes…a 10 voice version!

Some of you will notice that there is no "Prophet 5" placard right above the righthand part of the keyboard. This is because this was a beta unit. I assure you that all production units will have the iconic "Prophet 5" logo where the indentation on the wood is.

Visit www.sequential.com for more information on how to place your order for the Prophet 5 or Prophet 10.

Special cameo by Poppy Pollack at the end of the video, for those who make it to the end. ;)"

A Bit of Prophet 5 History

John Bowen recently posted the following on AH. I asked him if it would be ok for me to put it up as a post and he said yes. This is in regards to the the 1978 NAMM show and the birth of the Prophet 5 and 10. The Prophet 5 was the first fully programmable polyphonic synthesizer. Title link takes you to a shot of the Audities Foundation Prophet 10, which also came up on the thread (note the Prophet 10 label).

"The original Prophet was a 5 voice. Dave Smith thought to add the second
board (which was just another standard 5 voice board mounted above the
first) as an option, but the synth shown at that 1978 NAMM was a 5
voice, which Dave had barely gotten working earlier that morning (after
working on it almost nonstop the days & nights leading up to the show).
I was at the booth at 10 am as we opened the show, and somehow word had
gotten out about the possibility of us having a programmable
polysynth...we had most all the major manufacturers represented there,
right when the show opened, asking about it. We didn't know what time
Dave was going to show up, and tried to stay mum about the product,
while more and more people showed up. Some time after noon, Dave arrived
with the Prophet under his arm, and we cleared a space for it. He had to
do some quick tweaks and checks, and when he powered it up, it worked
right away (but was pretty badly out-of-tune).

As Michael says, we had enough orders after the show ended to feel great
about the Prophet 5's future, and took those orders to the banks to get
some investment capital to build them.

There were a few persons who Dave had already been selling the Model 800
(sequencer) and Model 700 (programmer) to, one of them being Pat
Gleeson, and when he saw there was an option to have 10 voices, he
immediately order two in that configuration. Dave hadn't really tested
the heat issue with the boards layered, but the first several Prophet
10s made soon proved obvious that there was a tuning instability
problem. After Dave looked further into the situation, he decided it was
not going to be a viable option, so we did recall them. I seem to
remember there were 6 in total sent out, and I the one at Korg R&D was
the only semi-functional one still around (however, there is now someone
doing restoration work on a different single manual P-10 for a museum).

But there was no 'desperate measure' requiring removal of one of the
boards, nor a change of the name...it was always a Prophet 5, and if the
optional 5 voices were to be added, a different sticker was made for the
front panel. Simply an option that didn't work out.

regards,
John Bowen"

Why J3PO Keeps Coming Back to the Prophet 5/10

video upload by Julian J3PO Pollack

"The Prophet 5 and Prophet 10 (both the reissue and the vintage ones) are iconic synths—but are they still relevant today?

My name is Julian Pollack (AKA J3PO) and In this video, I share my honest thoughts after spending years with the Prophet 10 reissue: what makes it so inspiring, why I can get bored with it,, and why—despite its limitations—I keep coming back to it.

No FX. Very limited modulation. Mono output. No frills. Just that raw, three-dimensional sound that somehow cuts through everything and makes us want to come back for more.

🎛️ Get my Prophet 5/10 presets from my website: https://www.julianpollack.com/shop/p/...

CHAPTERS:
00:00 Intro
01:40 Dry Examples (no FX)
04:03 Lead Patches with FX
04:59 Exp. & Sustain Pedal Tricks
07:10 Sawtooth Patch with Chorus & Reverb
08:36 Patch Demos with FX
11:39 Conclusion

If you're curious about the Prophet 5/10—or wondering why it was reissued and why people still talk about the original vintage ones decades later—this video is for you.

All the music you hear in this video (including the underscore) was created with ONLY my Prophet 10."

Custom Sequential Circuits Prophet 10 Minus Keyboard

via this auction

"This unit, serial number 1010-0078, is the final production version of the Prophet-10 designed around two Prophet-5 Rev 3 voice boards. It has enhanced microprocessor control circuitry and software to provide 10 polyphonic voices (2 VCOs each) in four keyboard modes with responsiveness comparable to the Prophet-5. These modes allow the choice of separate polyphonic control of two 5-voice synths, combined control of a “stacked” pair of 5-voice synths, alternating notes between two 5-voice synths, or control of a single 10-voice synth. Additional features not found on the Prophet-5 include programmable 3-band equalization, two control voltage pedal inputs with assignable routing, three foot switch inputs and a 10,200 note polyphonic sequencer. It is equipped with Sequential’s MIDI interface kit and the latest firmware, Rev 6.1. Recently the unit was thoroughly tested, repaired and burned-in by Wine Country Sequential in preparation for sale.

If you are familiar with the Prophet-10, you are probably wondering what happened to the keyboards on this unit. Although the stock Prophet-10 with its twin manuals is a sight to behold, the inclusion of two keyboards makes the nearly 3-1/2 foot by 2 foot by 8 inch, 70 pound unit so cumbersome that it is difficult for one person to move it by themselves, and difficult to integrate into a small studio environment or performance setup. As well, with the advent of MIDI controllers and sequencers and availability of the Prophet-10 MIDI upgrade kit, the built-in keyboards became redundant. At least a few ardent but frustrated Prophet-10 users dreamed of a slimmer instrument without the keyboards.

While I was employed as a service technician and visiting E-Mu Systems in the late 1980s, I happened to mention this to a product design engineer there who described to me a simple solution he referred to as “The Riley Mod.” It turns out that all the structural members forward of the main control panel can easily be unbolted and removed except for the sides of the chassis frame. The keyboards, modulation wheel and sequencer modules are simply unplugged from the rest of the synthesizer, unbolted and removed. Then the sides of the chassis frame can be cut back in line with the new forward face of the enclosure created by reusing a long corner piece and sheet metal that was part of the keyboard enclosure. Likewise, the wooden end pieces are carefully cut back to match the new enclosure dimensions and refinished to match the original look. Voila!

As you can see in the photos, the end result resembles an Oberheim Xpander, but with the familiar Prophet-10 control panel and no keyboards. This reduces the depth of the instrument to 13-1/2 inches and weight to 43 pounds – a much more practical size for lifting, transporting and integrating into an electronic music studio or performance system. For example, this slim rendition of the Prophet-10 rests comfortably on an Apex column stand.

NOTE: The circuit boards contained in the synthesizer unit are unaffected by the “Riley Mod” and have not been modified in any way except for installation of the factory-supplied MIDI upgrade kit..."
