"Hollow is a vast space reverb effect developed by Sinevibes. Available for KORG prologue, minilogue xd, and NTS-1. Product page: https://sinevibes.com/korghollow"
follow-up to Hollow vast space reverb: coming soon for KORG synthesizers
"Hollow is a vast space reverb plugin for KORG prologue, minilogue xd and NTS-1. At its core is a feedback delay network with as many as 64 connections, which can produce a truly lush, almost three-dimensional reverb sound. With all settings maxed out, this engine is capable of tail times that exceed 120 seconds, while still having a smooth and naturally damped exponential decay. Hollow also features our trademark unison-style modulation via three phase-shifted sine oscillators – which adds highly musical depth and richness.
HIGHLIGHTS
Studio-grade DSP algorithms, calibrated specifically for KORG’s hardware platform.
Individually chosen mapping for every plugin parameter, providing a very natural feel.
Built-in lag filters for noise-free, ultra-smooth parameter adjustment.
Optimized for maximum performance and stability on each individual device type."
"An extremely overdue second installment in the "one synth, one track" series which currently has one other entry Typhon [posted here].
I'm not sure how much longer the Minilogue and I will be spending together, so I figured this was a nice possible send-off. It's a whole lot of fun to play on it's own but making this track was also quite tricky!"
"Second time owning a Hydrasynth. Sold the desktop last year to fund the Super 6 but missed it and bought the Explorer. Great for sitting on the couch and making up new sounds!
"I used 3 instruments with their internal sequencers for this electro / synthwave jam 😉
CHIMES: The 15-step chimes sequence is being played by the Korg Minilogue XD, hybrid (analog/digital) synth. I also used the Rerun SDK plugin from Sinevibes in order to add some random glitches on the sound.
BASS: The bass is being played by the Erica Synths DB-01 Bassline analog mono synth. I programmed a few patterns with different notes/feel. I also used the 'Accent' feature to make the sequences groove more (it can easily be heard on the intro).
DRUMS / ACID RIFF: The drums are coming from the Kord Drumlogue hybrid drum machine. It was also the opportunity to use its individual outputs (the little volume knobs don't work when using these outputs... really wish there was an easy way to fix this as the outputs are too hot for guitar pedals 😏).
The last acid-like sequence is from the Nano synth of the Drumlogue, going through the Darkglass Microtubes X (analog distortion) + Dreadbox Lethargy (analog phaser).
The DB-01 and Drumlogue Nano synth are both being ducked by the Pill Pedal (triggered by the 4 to the floor pattern of the Drumlogue).
* Hardware used *
- Korg Drumlogue: analog and digital drums, Nano synth (through Microtubes X distortion, Lethargy phaser and Pill ducking pedal).
- Korg Minilogue XD (+ Sinevibes Rerun): chimes
- Erica Synths DB-01 Bassline: bass"
"Dense by Sinevibes is a vintage virtual analog oscillator plugin for KORG prologue, minilogue xd and NTS-1. Product page: www.sinevibes.com/korgdense"
Priced at $29
Dense is a vintage virtual analog oscillator plugin for KORG prologue, minilogue xd and NTS-1. Its foundation consists of four separate oscillators with saw, square, triangle waveforms – generated using a technique often used in the early virtual analog synthesizers. In addition to mutual detuning, each oscillator has its own random pitch drift LFO, and global pitch can also be slightly off on every key press – together, these features simulate tuning instabilities and per-voice discrepancies in old analog synthesizers, going from very subtle to “badly needs calibration”. Dense includes a total of 50 sound source configurations with different settings for the individual oscillator parameters such as waveform, coarse tune, output level, as well as optional ring modulation or bit depth reduction for an even wider sonic palette. To add final polish, there’s a one-pole high-pass filter and an additional sine LFO for vibrato. Thanks to the various fluctuations and dynamic interactions happening between the oscillators, as well as between the oscillators and the synthesizer’s filter, Dense can produce beautiful vintage-style sounds that are full of life and organic movement.

"Just some musical ramblings and live tweaking sounds on the Minilogue XD, my current go to synthesizer for some fun purposes. It is a very nice instrument for the price, the effects are way better than with more expensive gear, expandability with the SDK is a nice way to keep it alive (already purchased Sinevibes Node, video soon).
Been away for quite some time, promisse I'll be back more often, maybe even focus a bit more on playing stuff, rather than showing sounds only."
"'The Dreadnaught Factor' was recorded live early Saturday morning on January 21st 2023 using a MIDI sequencer, a room full of synthesizers and drum machines. Four analog mixers were used with a rack of outboard effects and mixed stereo. Mixing and automation was controlled by the sequencer directly to the synthesizers. The final reorded required manual muting of the of mixer channels to suppress the noise coming from some of the devices including the Korg Minilogue. The video was taken afterwards.
"The Dreadnaught Factor" was inspired by the box art of an early 80s video game for Intellivision. It featured a number of spaceships on a blue background much like the 2600 Blue Marvin featured in this music. The melody and chord arrangement originated from a short piece I created several years ago and later merged it with a small piece of unfinished music titled "Driod Mischief". I was pleased how the two sounded when arranged in this way. I look forward to finishing "Droid Mischief".
The Hydrasynth plays a few different roles in Dreadnaught, even doubling up with the BassStation adding filter modulations to the bass parts [3:23].
The Korg MS2000 never disappoints when you use its modulation sequencer and its charasmatic digital distortion. Several parts were played, twisting and swirling in the stereo field. Modulated tremolos off-rhythm and hypnotic.
Korg Minilogue XD has so much range - such a wide sweet spot of sound. Especially when you use the digital user oscillators. Resonating plucks and unnatural reverbs works well for my tastes.
The Behringer 2600 Blue Marvin and Model D is featured in the "Droid Mischief" part at [2:58]. The notes were played over MIDI. Volume modulation was controlled with CV from the *Akai Pro MPC X*. The Model D ran through the inputs of the Roland TR8s for its Phaser effect. The TR8S did nothing else.
There are a few dark pad patches I re-use often on the Oberheim Matrix 1000 playing disonant chords throughout.
The Elektron Analog Rytm MkII provides most of the rhythms. Each of its 12 voices run on its own MIDI channel with a full complement of continuous controllers. Lots of CC modulation was used on some of the voices. The internal sequencer was not used. All notes and automation comes from the *MPC X*.
Arturia's MINIFREAK layered in a few bits throughout and is featured at the very end [6:11]. Macros were modulated from the *MPC X*.
Korg's Radias is 4 part multitimbral. On part #4 I keep a carefully curated drum kit synthesized with noise, sines and filters - mixed with some of the built in drum samples. Part #1 featured a vocal "ah-ha" patch [3:01] using one of the vowel waves, a formant insert effect and careful modulation of its dual filters.
My favorite guitar pluck patch on the Korg EX-8000 makes an appearance.
At the center of it all, the MPC X seemlesssly connects to everything and manages to keep all devices in perfect sync. As mentioned before - meticulous editing of MIDI events is a breeze and very comfortable over long editing sessions. Approximately 21 tracks were used including Control Voltage for the modulars.

NatLife brings you a new Korg Minilogue XD soundbank - 3rd Planet Mystery.
This sound pack is full of unusual Sequences, Cosmic Plucks, poignant Effects, Melodic Arp-sequences, Dark Basslines, and thoughtful Motion sequences.
All this creates the impression of a completely unusual library inspired by the old Soviet cartoon-film - The Secret of the Third Planet, which at one time plunged millions of children into its Cosmic mystery. This film was based on a children's science fiction novella "Alice's Travel" by Kir Bulychev, from Alisa (Alice) Selezneva's book series. Immerse yourself in the world as it was seen in the 80s space dreamers.
In this soundbank, you will find such types of sounds as Bass, Leads, FXs, ARPs, Plucks, Synths, Keys & Sequences.
The sound library was not used by any external Multi engines, so you'll get a clear Minilogue XD sound, using an Analog engine as the main and Digital as modulation or noise additional.

"Dipole is a through-zero flanger plugin for KORG prologue, minilogue xd and NTS-1. It combines two delay lines, with one able to run earlier or later in time relatively to the other, plus a switching feedback signal routing. Right around the zero time difference between the delays, this algorithm produces a “jet fly-by” effect with positive feedback – or full sound cancellation with negative feedback. Originally, through-zero flanging was achieved using a pair of tape machines, by playing two copies of the same recording and then manually controlling the difference in tape speed and position. Here, an LFO with a sine waveform is used to periodically sweep the effect’s time difference parameter."
