"This very good condition QY700 is an excellent sequencer that can still get the job done. It's certainly different than an MPC or other arranger device, but it's got some built in sounds that still kick some serious butt."

You can find posts featuring the Yamaha QY700 here.

Yamaha RS7000 Melodic Jungle track

video upload by MIDERA

"Really haven't done much recently. Sorry... guess I'm just busy with life. My whole studio was torn apart and now I'm just trying to make it nicer. Working on my book. Doing summer stuff...

Used small amount of NI Raum for reverb, otherwise just internal FX for the RS7000.

Sadly, the drums seem mixed a bit loud, but since it was recorded L/R in one go, I can't separate them and I'm just not motivated to redo it right now."

CP-88, wavestate, norns shield granular piano Electronica | Blue and White ombre 2026-08-22 by atnr

video upload by atnr

"An electronica piece featuring piano and lingering electronic textures.

This piece was created with the wavestate, norns shield, and CP-88.

On the wavestate, synth pads are performed. The output is processed through the MOOD MKII with delay while micro loops are layered over the sound.

On the CP-88, piano is performed with a deep amount of its built-in reverb.

On the norns shield, a recorded piano phrase is processed granularly using graintopia. The output is then processed through LOST+FOUND with delay and reverb."

Editor (Moog Minitaur // DFAM // Waldorf Protein // Roland JU06A // TR6S // Squarp Hapax)

video upload by 2-Minute Warning

"This time, I'm keeping the same setup as my previous jam... [below] with one new member joining the party: the Moog Minitaur. 馃幐

But the real star of this experiment is probably the Squarp Hapax.

I've been pushing its sequencing capabilities a little further this time, using a combination of its MIDI effects, automation and LFO modulation to make the different parts evolve throughout the performance.

I'm using several of the Hapax MIDI effects, including Euclid, Harmony, Random and Swing, as well as LFOs to continuously modulate MIDI parameters (using CC).

And I also wanted to explore the FILL feature a bit further.

For example, I use a Fill to create a drum break, while simultaneously triggering an LFO that sends CC messages to the TR-6S, increasing the level of its internal reverb during the break.

So the Hapax isn't simply telling the synths which notes to play anymore... it's also changing their behaviour while the music is happening. Quite a lot is happening behind the scenes, even if hopefully it doesn't sound like a Hapax having a nervous breakdown. 馃槃

The performance was recorded in a single take. I mixed and mastered the individual tracks afterwards in Ableton Live, but the actual performance wasn't edited or fixed."

Can a sampler eat itself? (recursive sampling into oblivion)

video upload by djr brunstein

"Patch Memory 7. Patching the Venus Instruments Veno-Orbit back into itself to see what chaos ensues!

Output feeds back into input, via a reverb (my micro Dervish); Pamela's New Workout sequences record, play, pitch, reverse, start position and length across both channels. The module becomes its own sound source. I wasn't sure if I should try and make a sample pack from this one. If you want that, let me know in the comments!

Roland Alpha Juno Twin Peaks Dreamy Bank | Out NOW!

video upload by Espen Kraft

"Get the patch bank in my web shop here: https://espenkraft.com/b/jwl5d
My brand new patch bank for the Roland Alpha Juno 1/2 and MKS-50. Also compatible with all software Alpha emulations that can import original Alpha bank sysex.

Price is $15USD.

64 original patches with focus on dreamy, ethereal sounds in the tradition of David Lynch and Angelo Badalamenti. All the patches have names taken from Twin Peaks.
In the demo video I play through some of the patches. I've added a touch of reverb to the patches.

This is a sysex download and you must transfer this bank from your computer to the synth. Check the manual for more info or see my first Alpha Juno patch bank video for how to do this."

Unlock sounds that couldn’t exist until now with Lucid—our dream granular effect built for creating vivid textures, harmonies, rhythms, and transformations that stay in key and in time.

Explore over 350 presets across 13 packs, covering everything from harmonic layering and synced rhythms to shimmering spaces and total transformations—each built to get bold, track-ready results fast.

Check out the manual → https://www.minimal.audio/lucid-manual"

"Lucid is a next-generation granular effect that rebuilds any sound grain by grain into musical textures, harmonies, and rhythmic effects—always in key, in time, and fully under your control.

Lucid provides complete musical control over time and pitch, producing vibrant sounds that couldn't have existed before, always in key, without breaking creative flow.

Industry-first grain scale-locking automatically tunes every grain to your chosen scale, while timeline sync keeps stretching, freezing, and playback locked to your session. Together, they let you reshape pitch and time freely without losing the musical foundation, while additional per-grain effects provide detailed granular shaping capabilities.

With a music-first workflow, Lucid can be dropped onto any source and shaped immediately. From subtle layering to complete transformations, its presets, per-grain processing, harmonic tools, and deep modulation make it easy to start quickly and go as far as you want."

The Strangest, Most Interesting Synth He's Played This Year (Morphor Echon6)

video upload by Starsky Carr

"The Morphor Echon6 is the world's first analog modal polysynth — a genuine departure from the wall of subtractive synths flooding the market right now. In this review and demo I dig into its Karplus-Strong-based exciter and resonator, six voices you can split into six independent monosynths, and a modulation system so intuitive it doesn't need a menu. Full raw demo at the end so you can hear it completely unprocessed.

WHAT IS MODAL SYNTHESIS?
Modal synthesis uses a Karplus-Strong oscillator — an exciter (like a pluck, bow, or hammer) run through a resonator (like a string or instrument body) — to fake physical, plucked/struck sounds. First proposed by Kevin Karplus and Alexander Strong back in 1982, you'll recognise the concept from modules like Mutable Instruments Plaits, Rings and Braids, and digital oscillators in synths like the Arturia MiniFreak and Korg Minilogue XD. The Echon6 takes that same idea and builds it entirely in analog circuitry — as far as I know, the first synth to pull that off.

MY TAKE
The Echon6 is a genuinely fresh alternative to the current glut of subtractive synths — your Jupiters, Junos, Prophets, and OB-style clones. It felt natural within minutes, the modulation is some of the cleverest I've used on any hardware synth, and the build quality is excellent. Compared to the Erica Synths Steampipe (digital modal synthesis), the Echon6 is easier to learn, while the Steampipe can get more chaotic, faster, thanks to its distortion and reverb. Both are worth a look if experimental modal synthesis is your thing — but the Echon6 gets a big thumbs up from me.

Electronic Music Laboratories Electrocomp EML-101 SN 475

via this Reverb listing

"This is a very rare Electrocomp 101 (Serial # 475) in a very good condition. It has been fully serviced and has no issues whatsoever.

I'm the third owner of this unit. Some mods were done in the 1970's by John Phelan, one of the engineers @ EML which makes this unit totally unique. Here's the functionality of the added 3 switches:

The switch near the Glide Control, multiplies and lengthens the glide time as the pitch slides from note to note. The switch below the filter turns the BP (bandpass) filter setting, into band reject (meaning it provides highpass and lowpass filtering simultaneously).
The switch next to the mixer changes the character of the noise (from white to pink)
I took great care of the unit and used it only in my studio. I'm selling it because I'm simply not using it at all. This 101 comes with original manual and documentation."

Note SN 475 was listed back in 2014.
