"The triple featured Oscar Tria offers regular waveforms, swarming oscillations and polyphonic chord modes within a Eurorack, CV-controlled context. The stereo format offers some lovely detuning and there's some superb morphing between the waveforms. It's built on a digital platform but has a very analogue sound and workflow. Let's get into it."
"Oscar Tria packs a lot of VCO into 10HP. There are three main modes described below.
Green Mode: A ‘traditional’ stereo oscillator. In Green Mode you get the usual three waveforms – saw, triangle and square (with variable pulse width, of course) but you can continuously vary the waveform between the three. For instance, by turning the waveform knob to be just to the saw side of triangle, you get a sound very much like the Minimoog’s ‘shark tooth’. Green mode also gives you a square wave sub oscillator – one octave below the main oscillators – and a sub sub, two octaves below. Oscar Tria is stereo, of course, so you can detune one oscillator for a rich stereo image – or sum the two outputs to mono and you have two oscillators with two subs, for a BIG sound. Green mode also features through zero FM, and hard sync.
Yellow Mode: Super-saw! And super-square! And super-triangle! With a sub (of course). Yellow mode allows you to control the number of oscillators making up the super-whatever, from one (not really super) to 24! Again, being stereo you get up to 12 oscillators in one channel and 12 in the other. Add the sub for a HUGE sound.
Orange Mode: This is a chord engine, with 20 selectable chords. There are controls to select which chord you want and how many notes are played (over two octaves). CV control allows you to set pitch and chord independently, so you can set up a polyphonic sequence, for instance. Again, the output is stereo with detune control of one output."
In 1975, Tom Oberheim revolutionised synthesiser design with the original TVS – Two Voice Synthesizer. By combining two SEMs and a keyboard, he introduced true duophony to the world—enabling musicians to play two independent voices simultaneously and explore harmonically rich, evolving soundscapes. It was a bold step forward, embraced by visionaries including Martin Gore, Adrian Utley, Peter Baumann, Lorn, The Prodigy, and Nils Frahm.
Decades later, the TVS Pro modernised that vision, adding a built-in sequencer, extended modulation, and refined controls—all while staying true to its unmistakable sonic DNA.
Now, with the GForce Oberheim TVS Pro plugin, this landmark instrument enters a new era. Developed in collaboration with Oberheim, this recreation captures not only the depth, warmth and character of the original, but also the spirit of innovation that made it extraordinary.

"Weirdly fascinating Mantis synthesizer spreads voices, diverts filters and detunes like nobody's business. Now with four whole voices the Mantis feels like a proper synth with bags of character."
"Some presets I made on the Mantis. Review coming soon. These presets will be captured into an exclusive virtual instrument for patrons. / robinvincent"
"The Eurobuss VCA Compressor from AudioScape Engineering is based upon the G-Series bus compressor found in classic SSL consoles. They're spun it into a Eurorack module in the hope that it might bring joy, glue and cohesion to your modular noises. Headphones recommended for this one."

AudioScape has loaned the module to me for review, no money has changed hands and I don't even get to keep it.

"Novation and GForce are proud to announce the release of the GForce Bass Station, a brand-new software version of the original analogue synthesiser.
Bass Station is an iconic mono-synth, celebrated for its raw, punchy bass and distinctive analogue filter. First launched in 1993, it has been a core part of Novation's brand ever since.
The new GForce Bass Station AU / VST is an exact emulation of the original Bass Station, now with a new expanded mode, which includes up to 16-voice polyphony and unison modes, taking its versatility far beyond the monophonic hardware original.
"Here's my walkthrough of the London Synth & Pedal show, along with my thoughts on why this show is important for bringing new people into the world of synths and modular."

---
The Story behind the Expo Launched in 2018 in Brooklyn, NY, the Synth & Pedal Expo is a dynamic and compact gear exhibition in a pop-up format, specifically tailored for the vibrant, city-based music communities shaping the most lively scenes in North America and Europe.
Unpretentious, free to the public, and pop-up in nature, this strictly in-the-headphones event was born from an NYC music blog covering local emerging bands called The Deli as a way to entertain the community of musicians it served.
After expanding to several other big North American music scenes like Los Angeles, Toronto, and Portland - the Synth & Pedal Expo launched its London show on March 18, 2023 - although it was initially scheduled for 2020.
Event Details: When: March 22-23, 2025 Where: Studio 9294, Hackney Wick, London
"Seventh Summoner is the third firmware from Flat 6 running their fabulous 1U keyboard module. This one is a sequencer with up to 32 steps, different play modes and the saving of up to 6 sequences. I've paired it with the Knob Technology ηCarinae, through the Replicant Filter and into Echo Cinematic. The ARP of Darkness, meanwhile, is playing the Castor & Pollux II through the Foxtrot Duo filter and into an Erica stereo delay.
That's it! I think I've found my sequencer combo for live performance."

"I've just built the Basilisk from Wirehead Instruments and thought I'd give it a play with some friends. DIY Build video should be in the channel shortly. This is one fun little box of synthesizer with a very cool generative sequencer and two oscillators. This is just an improvised jam and fiddle around to give you a flavour of the synth."
"Who knew a Xenon tube of plasma could produce such fierce sounds? The Plasma Voice has all the energy of a barely contained explosion that zaps and spits its way into your patch. Is it too much? Nah, it's bloomin' awesome!"

"Synth East 2025 is open for business. Tickets are on sale now directly from the Norwich Arts Centre. It takes place over the weekend of the 21st to 23rd of February 2025 and combines synthesizers, modular, film, interviews, DIY and extraordinary music."
"I really love it when the YouTube creators work together with manufacturers to realize modules we may all need, but can't get. Following in DivKid's footsteps, Robin from Molten Modular now presents his second Befaco collab after the Motion Meter. The Bypass is - you may have guessed it - a 'detour' circuit. Typical usage is hard-switching between a dry sound and an FX chain. It seems a bit similar to send/return, but the Bypass opens and closes an entirely different path. It's more like an insert/return, with a Launch button to open and close it (also CV controlled). When the Launch is set to 'soft', the return remains engaged, and only the insert goes on/off.
Even though on paper it's a simple utility with four ins and four outs, it opens up a lot of possibilities which are relatively simple to patch with separates, but you may need a switch matrix or something much bigger than just 4HP.
