"This circuit board came in with one of the many Rhodes Chromas we have bought, restored and resold (we’re finishing another at the moment which we will list soon). It appears to be part of a rare chroma apple ii computer interface that allowed the apple ii computer with sequencing and patch editing software to control a Rhodes Chroma. The Rhodes Chroma website, which is probably the best vintage synth support website we’ve ever come across, has an article on this interface. You can find it by googling rhodes chroma apple computer card. It appears as though there were other components to this interface that we didn’t get with it (converter box, software and possibly more), and we don’t have an apple II computer, so we haven’t tested this item and are selling it as-is as a collectors item, or for parts to possibly get a full system working (with no guarantees)."
"More work on the SID module. Another 3 channel test. Those chorus sections π₯π❤️
The meow song (love action) by the Human league....
The floor is lava.. Baba is you... And Armalyte is Alleykat π±πΎπΎπΎ
Project Armalyte is now called Alleykat. My long time feline companion, Maddie, passed away two weeks ago. She would sit and chill with me for hours while i coded and toiled away on this and other projects. She'd see me off when i went to work and be waiting for me when i got home. She'd ride around on my shoulder, sleep on my bed and follow me everywhere. From the scared and timid cat who had a massive alopecia bald patch on her back and who i think had had a bit of a bad life as the frightened girl who crept into my shed all those years ago, she became a gentle, funny and loving companion. She was 18, she was my friend for many years, and i miss her π
The module is now a tribute to kitty cat. And she'll be appearing on the back of it.
Nine lives - no regrets ❤️
Nice cover of the meow song for her. When the module is complete i'll come back and tweak it for a proper demo, where it will be paired up with the song 'tell me when', which also has a meow in towards the end π
Sounds somewhat like a Hubbard outing for the verses, but then you hit the chorus and it goes full sublime Galway - Ocean loader. It sounds wonderful. in a kept in the loft for 30 years way π
Tuning is still as crap as my Korg Monopoly on a good day. But a bit of pitch bend wheel keeps it sweet enough. The day i move it off the breadboard and get a precision reference in there for 1voct tracking can't come soon enough.
Currently waiting for some parts to make the next big leap. This is where the last few registers will become active and all the ringmod/sync/wave mixing kinds of things will come to life.
Than chorus though.. I fucking love this thing..... The nostalgia feels are something else ❤️❤️❤️"
"My simple beginnings with the Pianist chord sequencer. It's running chords from Brains (Plaits mode), and sending out a note to the Qu-Bit Surface and Pony VCO and turned into a nice little jam. Full review of Pianist to come soon.
"All sounds in this live jam come from the Elektron Digitone II, controlled via the Novation Launch Control XL 3.
I mapped the Digitone’s modulation wheel macros to the Launch Control’s faders for real-time modulation.
This one-take performance is part of an ongoing setup I’ve been refining, and I’ll be doing a full walkthrough soon: MIDI mapping, sound design, and how this setup makes jamming feel effortless."
"All synth sounds in this track come from the Novation Peak - no other synths, no layering. Just the Peak and a few drum samples fully sequenced and mixed in the DAW.
This is the first in a video series focused on the Peak, starting with what it sounds like in a full, polished production. More coming soon: sound design, jams, and a full review.

It's Independence Week and while I had intended for this to go out on the 4th itself, I put a bit more work into something special for you which delayed it a few days. I hope that's okay with you.
I wanted to give everyone a status update on how things were going over here and also offer a couple of specials to celebrate. Out of respect for the dozen or so people who have been patient and trusting of me I'm going to let you know how things are going and then share a few cool deals.
"A video describing the features of the soon to be released Beta version of the Dual WaveBank Overlay for Electra One (MK2) controller - that abstracts EaganMatrix programming and lets you concentrate on configuring sounds using controls you are used to (in fact you could never program these features into a single EaganMatrix preset on the Osmose as only six Macros are available for on-board presets. But Overlays ex[pand that greatly allowing for complex synths to be created from a single EaganMatrix preset. Sorry - it's the video's here sound but I think you still get a good idea of the feature set. This describes the version that will run on the Expressive E Osmose.
Note: This only runs on the EL1 and only on the MK2 version due to resource limitations of MK1. It cannot be ported easily to any other platform as the Lua code uses many EL1 specific calls, though the EaganMatrix Overlay preset (dualwaveosmose.mod) used by the Overlay could be reused by another application that could add a similar feature set. All these features come from one single Osmose preset running on the Osmose - controlled by the EL1 Overlay application."

"Soon a day will come when a large number of these classic early digital instruments will be renovated and making music again - but sadly this is one of the many that need an expert touch to get them working.
This looks complete, with the crucial pedalboard, which is a vital part of the instrument and without which it is just a source of keyboard spares and a characterful early 70s piece of design. With RMI's classic and distinctive fold-down leg design. Please check the photos for its cosmetic condition - pretty good apart from some oxidisation on some of the stand and clasp metalwork, and some discolouration underneath the card reader. No cards are included, but it does have its lid, and an unknown switch (see pics).
Even with its neat leg system, this is a seriously heavy and large instrument, so will need palletising (60GBP) if it can't be delivered by hand."
"Double OS delight is coming to the Digi IIs! Digitakt II and Digitone II are both leveling up to version 1.10, sharing a bunch of features while picking up some fresh new tricks along the way. Let’s dive into some of the standouts, but be sure to check the release notes for a full feature list.
Digitakt II is receiving the Comb+ filter from Digitone II, adding this metallic flavor to your filter options. Mono sampling makes its return, joining stereo sampling and offering greater flexibility when capturing sound. Routable overdrive distortion and base-width filter now lets you decide whether they come before or after your various filter alternatives. Keytrack modulation also jumps over from Digitakt II’s younger sibling.
Digitone II brings Chord Mode on board, more powerful than ever, and with various modes and Chord Memory to maximize your harmonic flexibility. Overbridge streaming is now possible, allowing multi-track audio streaming straight to your computer (the rest of Overbridge for Digitone II is in beta testing and coming soon). You can also do lots more with the Arpeggiator, rotating the offsets for new melodic sequences as well as gaining new arp speeds to experiment with.

"Hello! Jason here. Thank you for watching this video :)
This Signature Edition limited re-release of the trΓ igh low-pass filter module is available for purchase direct from Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/18233...
I am producing a limited batch which will be available for purchase while stock lasts.
This revised module was developed as a creative side project over the past month or two as a means of dealing with the unfortunate situation of having a very large pet greyhound with a relatively large diagnosis of cancer. Winston was confirmed to have a stage 2 soft cell sarcoma earlier this year. He underwent a surgery on September 24th during which the tumour was successfully removed. (He has recovered very well and quickly!) Due to the location of the sarcoma there is a high likelihood of cancer cells remaining at a microscopic level. If left unchecked they will likely return as a tumour with a chance of metastasising. Winston began a 4 week treatment of radiotherapy on November 4th. As of writing this we are now past the half way point and he is responding very well with no significant side effects presenting. Each treatment requires full general anaesthetic, so I have a very dopey boy every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for the entire month of November. The vets do provide him with some roast chicken each session when he wakes up. So he seems quite happy with his current unusual routine.
ContinuuCon Electronic Music Conference Scheduled for Paris, IRCAM
ContinuuCon 2025, the seventh international Haken Continuum Conference, is returning to France in March 26–28. This year’s event will take place in Paris, and will be hosted by the IRCAM Forum. It will be fully integrated in the IRCAM event with a room dedicated to ContinuuCon every morning.
Musicians, sound designers, software developers, and music enthusiasts are invited to explore the world’s most uniquely expressive electronic musical instruments through presentations, performances, and hands-on experiences. As always, ContinuuCon will focus on every instrument that features the Haken Continuum’s internal sound engine the EaganMatrix, including the Continuum Fingerboard, ContinuuMini, EaganMatrix Module for Eurorack, and Expressive E Osmose synthesizer.
ContinuuCon 2025 will also include a ContinuuCon Dinner (date still to be defined). Over these 3 days, Continuum inventor and EaganMatrix developers Lippold Haken, Edmund Eagan and Christophe Duquesne will join other authorities and some of the world’s most skilful Continuum players to share their expertise and technical knowledge. The integration in the IRCAM Forum will allow attendees to also benefit all the other conferences of the Forum to discover or go into IRCAM ‘s sonic research world in depth.
Haken Continuum players include film composer A.R. Rahman (who participated in last year’s ContinuuCon), Nine Inch Nail’s Trent Reznor, and The Who’s Pete Townshend, who said, “I absolutely adore it. The Continuum is already inspiring me to new ideas.” You may also hear the Continuum featured in the scores to Game of Thrones, Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull, and the recent Dune: Part Two.
"This is a quck and dirty demo of the new firmware. Please excuse the poor lightning and some parts where the audio distorts. It sounds way better live but it's Ok to grasp the new functionalities:
-Now it load presets
-Redesigned Graphic Interface
-Clearer sound (no glitches)
-Coarse pot plays in chromatic scale (always in tune, you still can detune with fine pot)
-Easier/more logic interface (recorded parameter locks are implemented as you release the REC button, no need to turn another pot/key)
Some more demos will come soon.
All new ONO-SENDAIs ship with the new firmware. Previous customers can download the update here:
"Since opening in 2011, the Moog Store has served as a public portal to the Moog factory, inviting passionate synthesists to come inside and experience the sonic capabilities of Moog first-hand, as well as have access to new electronic instruments and devices in person. Containing 60 years of revolutionary synthesizer technology, the Moog Store has been a destination for those who wish to create, explore, and be inspired.
As we prepare for the next chapter of Moog Music, the Moog Store will be closing its doors. Our factory will remain open, and our talented engineers will still be in there, hand-crafting the instruments that define us. Our shift away from brick-and-mortar sales allows us greater bandwidth to focus on researching and developing the next generation of synthesizers and support more classic Moog releases.
To those who have visited the store to explore our instruments, participate in our workshops and factory tours, and engage with our engineers and designers, we have the utmost gratitude. We encourage everyone to visit the Moogseum in downtown Asheville at 56 Broadway Street where Bob Moog’s legacy is carried forward through education and archive preservation. We too are committed to his legacy of innovation and excellence and look forward to sharing the work we have been doing with you all soon."

"The first two episodes where about the big Serge heritage in 4U panels, the translation to eurorack and the relationship between DUSG and Maths. Starting from episode 03, I'll downsize the cases and focus on individual modules in small setups.
The GTO is the 'V2' of the legendary SSG (Smooth/Stepped Generator). A few weeks ago, I wasn't even aware of these two. At first glance, it looks like a mix of a Cycle and a Sample/Hold. The 'challenge' with Serge is that you can't tell what a module can do when you look at it. But WOW. The GTO is a force of nature. If you have an interest in Serge, this module can keep you exploring for many, many months. If I had to confine myself to choosing one Serge module only, it would be the GTO.
I am making this series to teach myself the ins and outs of modular, sharing the journey as I progress. I invested in a big case, but only because I am planning to teach and do 'master' classes. I just can't teach modular without knowing about Serge. So this series isn't affiliated with Serge or Random*Source.
I fitted the Befaco Bananuts myself, they don't come with the modules. Also, there are no white ones, so I spray painted a few bags of silver ones. I still need to remove a bit of excess paint, but they look awesome. I guess it's something autistic, but I am proud of it.
I am not sponsored. R*S offered me to borrow modules I'd like to cover, but don't fit my budget. There's an SSG coming soon, together with the Paperface 50 4U reissue. I am not doing 4U videos, but it's cool to actually see and hear where the eurorack modules come from.
Finally, the appearance of Lego models is purely for fun and decoration. Everybody is using plants to decorate their modular videos and I wanted to do it a bit differently. They're models of carnivorous plants (Carnivor is also a Serge combo)."

"Fascinating new modular system from Pittsburgh with a decidedly West Coast bent. Too soon for a review, but here's half an hour of playing with the rather remarkable sequencer, the timbre of the oscillators and other bits and pieces. The Sweet Spot: Voltage Lab 2 Semi-Modular Synthesizer
video upload by HAINBACH
"As anyone who has ever tried to assemble a modular synthesizer, it is not easy to create a cohesive instrument, especially if you try to narrow it down to a portable case. In comes The Voltage Lab 2 that Pittsburgh Modular send me to play with (thanks for that!) - it is a semi-modular self contained synthesizer, and to me it hits the sweet spot between functionality and musicality."
May 14th, 2024 - Pittsburgh, PA Pittsburgh Modular Synthesizers today announced Voltage Lab 2, a standalone dual oscillator analog synthesizer synthesis laboratory with a unique integrated touch-sensitive performance controller.
As technology has improved, it has become possible for manufacturers to produce
increasingly complex synthesizers. This has led to the creation of synths that trade off easeof-use for maximum sound design potential, spreading hundreds upon hundreds of options
and parameters throughout dizzying interfaces, full of tabs and menus. They provide oscillators
and filters with such immense algorithmic precision that any soul or character is stripped away
before it has a chance to flourish in the sound. Integrate is not like that.
Integrate has been designed with the goal of creating an old-school virtual analog that has
just as much personality as any of the classics, paired with a fantastic user interface that makes
exploring the sonic possibilities an effortless pleasure. It cannot do everything, but this is
intentional; limitations breed creativity. No longer will you spend hours scrolling through lists
of wavetables, paralyzed by the impossible task of deciding which is the best to use – a
question that has no right answer. Instead, Integrate has a simple two-page layout where
every parameter has been selected for its unique axis of inspiration. Every dial, slider and
button is waiting to delight you as you delve into a world of aural possibilities.
Many thanks to fdigl for providing me a NFR license for this plugin! Next video will feature some custom patches made by me.
"The old-school virtual analog synthesizer: reimagined and perfected, optimized for creativity. Integrate follows in the footsteps of the virtual analog classics we still love today, bringing together a straightforward user interface with an intricate and colorful sound engine."
"The old-school virtual analog synthesizer: reimagined and perfected.
A synthesizer optimized for creativity.
Integrate follows in the footsteps of the virtual analog classics we still love today, bringing together a straightforward user interface with an intricate and colorful sound engine.
Four mighty oscillators. The four main oscillators come equipped with a selection of 74 waveforms and a flexible noise generator. The traditional waveforms (sine, sawtooth, square and triangle) all have a specially chosen parameter that can be modulated, allowing you to creating evolving sounds. The noise generator has tweakable color, and it also supports key tracking for an effect reminiscent of early game consoles. Also featuring FM, RM and hard sync, there's a world of possibilities waiting to be unlocked in these oscillators. There's also a sub oscillator sporting three waveforms, ready to quickly beef up your patch.
Have it your way. Integrate lets you configure the character of the oscillators, giving you the power to shape the sound of your patches from the very start of the signal path.
Pick between the “Clean” rendering mode for a modern touch, or the “Digital” mode to add a gritty punch to your sound.
Make anything super. Oscillators A and B both sport a unison section, letting you turn a simple waveform into a 7 voice beast. Configure the detune and mix, or enable “Stereo” to spread the voices across the channels. You'll soon discover how much of a monster Integrate is at fat, anthemic sounds, perfect for mesmerizing listeners of any genre.
The latest technology. Integrate is available in the new CLAP plugin format, boasting advanced features like non-destructive polyphonic parameter modulation and note stacking. We're proud to join its community of developers who are pioneering the latest in audio technology.
Information, only when you need it. To keep the interface compact and free from distractions, Integrate keeps extra information about parameters neatly tucked away in popups that only show when you're interacting with the relevant controls.
Waveforms, envelopes, frequency spectrums all pop up as soon as you need them, and then instantly hide away once you're done with them.
Explore new territory. Integrate isn't an emulation of an existing synth. Instead, it's a brand new design, waiting for you to explore what it's capable of. Dive into a world of characterful oscillators, screaming filters, chaotic LFOs, and dreamy reverbs. There's bound to be something that'll captivate your imagination.
"In this Signal Colors Sneak Peek, I'm sharing the launch video I created for The Swarm from Artium Instruments, now live on Kickstarter! This synth/effects box is a ton of fun and sounds great. Check it out and come back for a deeper dive soon!"
