"My new MultiCassa Drum machine meets my Microbrute in an ambient Jam session.

The Multi Cassa is an amazingly original Grove box that produces organic rhythms using 3 analog oscillators with frequency, resonance and distortion, 4 clock dividers with each oscillator having a mixer for two of the clock dividers.

The Microbrute goes through lots of effect pedals but the Multi Cassa is not processed. the hole recording has been slitty enhanced in Ableton

Voice-controlled drone/noise

"In my basement testing out a voice-controlled drone/noise program I designed for an upcoming live performance. Testing a new projector as well."

Some additional info on what is happening from John Burtell:

"In anticipation of an upcoming live performance in June, I decided to test out a voice-controlled drone/noise patch I created. The software used is Analog Box 2.42. Basically what's happening is every time my voice rises above a given threshold, an oscillator bank is fed through one of three processes (modulated filter, two-oscillator 'bass' synth, and a string resonator bank). The result, in turn, is fed into a loop. Parameters for all of the processes are changed based on the frequency content and volume of my voice."
