"As you can see this Prophet VS Rackmount 8-Voice Polyphonic Synthesizer is in beautiful condition with very light wear.

Recently fully serviced/updated by David Seznak at Wine Country Sequential (new data slider, power regulator, battery, display, OS update.)

being sold by the original owner - studio use only.

OS version 1.2

Replaced CEM5530 'sample & hold' chips with a daughterboard designed by Wine Country (Sequential Circuits employees) which replicates the sonics & functionality and is way more reliable than the original CEM5530 which is no longer available."

"When the Motor Synth first landed, it’s fair to say everyone was intrigued. Gamechanger Audio even had the likes of Jean-Michel Jarre and Richard Devine enthusing over “the world’s first electro-mechanical desktop synthesizer”. The original instrument made do with two independent voices and four-note polyphony from the eight motors, but plenty of improvements have been made. New to the MkII is the addition of a DCO with four digital oscillators and four-note-polyphony.

"This is a video demonstrating the sounds of the Roland JX-10 also known as the Super JX.

When I first heard this synthesizer I was blown away by the warmth of the sound. And to be honest, it still does. Once in a while I turn it on and indulge myself in its analog richness. I gives me strong associations with the Twin Peaks series, which I am a big fan of. It has a lot of cinematic qualities not present in other synths and it can even do some other nice stuff too. Released in 1985, this was the last analog synth from Roland until they recently released their JD series.
