"Meng Qi's Wing Pinger 2.0 is a handheld update to their beloved stereo resonant filter instrument, this time with a complete overhaul, but still based around a pair of analog filters. These self-oscillating analog filters with cross-feedback are capable of producing plucked tones, chordal motion, unstable rhythms, and full-on chaotic textures all from the same unstable circuit. Now centered around a robust screen, version 2.0 adds a powerful onboard Strudel-inspired scripting system for composing sequences, modulating parameters, and letting blocks influence each other over time. The Wing Pinger 2.0 is a huge change in the interface, enabling diverse and new creative pathways, remaining centered around the essence of this sought-after instrument: a pair of beautifully resonant analog filters.

BOARDS OF CANADA - Sundown (Synth Cover - Sequential Prophet REV2)

"This is my cover of Sundown by Boards of Canada, from Tomorrow’s Harvest (Warp Records, 2013).

This piece has always felt deeply emotional to me. Before studying it, I assumed it would be quite complex, but it turns out the core idea is surprisingly simple and elegant.
The key lies in the tuning of the oscillators: setting them in a perfect fifth interval (for example, Osc 1: C, Osc 2: G) creates that characteristic BOC sound.

For the sound design, I started from a patch I originally built for Corsair. The two tracks share a similar foundation, especially in how the dual oscillators interact through that fifth interval tuning.
The patch is played on the Sequential Prophet Rev2, with (a lot of) Valhalla VintageVerb and Delay"

25 Presets with a 25 Sequences(MIDI) includes all sequencer possibility, where every patch have own history and deeply thought out motion sequences. From piercing Lead and Bass sequences to deep Pad atmospheres and non-standard synth sounds.
