First Look at The Legendary J Haible TAU Phaser MK2!!
video upload by The Machines Won and Serge Modular | Random*Source
"Exploring the lush, sweeping textures of the Tau Pipe Phaser mk2 synth module. In this demo, you'll hear everything from subtle movement and vintage-style phase shifting to deep, resonant modulation that brings pads, leads, and drones to life.
Featuring a range of rate, depth, and feedback settings, this video highlights the module's rich analog-inspired character and its ability to add warmth, motion, and dimension to any patch.
Big thanks to Random*Source Serge for sending this module to demo and continuing to rethink and reimage these classic circuits!
Be on the lookout for more reels, live jams and demos. The music never stops!"

Scrapcode Modular Introcues ORAND - Passive Logic Gates Eurorack Module
via Scrapcode Modular
"This module is a set of passive logic gates – two OR gates and two AND gates.Signals will pass through the OR gates whenever a voltage is applied to any of their Inputs.
Signals will pass through the AND gates whenever a voltage is applied to both of their Inputs at the same time.
These are both designed to be used with trigger or gate signals presented to their Inputs, but may also give interesting results when other CV (or indeed audio) is applied. Experiment to find out what works best for you!
As with all Scrapcode Modular products, Inputs are signified by silver jack nuts, while Outputs are red.
Most Outputs are normalled to the Input of another gate, as signified by the small arrows, meaning that their signal will automatically be passed on when no patch cable is inserted to the corresponding Input.
NB: Due to the passive nature of this module, there is some inevitable voltage drop as signals pass through it, and therefore other modules with particularly sensitive inputs may not register signals processed by ORAND.
For more information please see the Quickstart Guide on the Manuals and DIY Instructions page."
Scrapcode is also running a 15% off summer sale until the end of August - details on the website.

J3PO // History
video upload by Julian "J3PO" Pollack
"Julian 'J3PO' Pollack performs an original composition, "History," a live DAW-less performance recorded entirely in one take with no overdubs.
Built around a sequencer, hardware synthesizers, and an acoustic (felt) piano, "History" explores the space between composition and improvisation. Every musical decision unfolds in real time, allowing the performance to evolve naturally from a simple repeating pattern into something entirely its own.
Gear used:
• Arturia KeyStep Pro (sequencing)
• Roland TR-8S
• Oberheim Two Voice Pro
• Groove Synthesis 3rd Wave 8M
• Yamaha Acoustic Upright Piano
Effects:
• Meris Mercury 7
• Strymon Timeline

JHaible TAU Phaser 'The Pipe' 2026 by Random*Source
video upload by Cinematic Laboratory
"Today I am proud to show off the new TAU 2026 phaser edition from JHaible x Random*Source for Eurorack. Obviously the core 'Pipe' sound didn't change because it needs to remain faithful to its history and heritage. It's not supposed to sound different from the previous R*S version. But it does. This is because the TAU '26 features two inputs and two CV inputs instead of one. Also the inverted (-) V/OCT is dropped. Visually, the panel now matches the Serge Modular line so it neatly blends in with your Serge 3U gear.
So is it a 20 pole- or an 18 pole phaser? Is it even important? No. What's truly important is the PIPE configuration of 20 transistors in a classic ladder topology. Your input will actually flow through the circuitry like air in a tube and I think it's absolutely stunning when you run noise through it. However, when you bring a lush pad, the TAU will redefine 'lush' into a pseudo stereo swirl that doesn't make you seasick.
When you crank up the feedback and hit it with some trigger 'stick' or chain, the TAU will make remarkable percussion. The Tau is also available in 4U. It's still a Haible, but it carries the 'Serge Modular' branding and comes with an extra mixing panel.

"We are delighted to announce Synterra, VAEMI’s new instrument, which many of you have been waiting for. We are truly excited.
Synterra is a unique device designed as a more comprehensive instrument than similar equipment created to date, capable of interacting with organic objects, living organisms, and different surfaces in its surroundings.
Synterra can use changes in the magnetic and electrical fields around it, liquid or solid organic materials, fruits, plants, fungi, trees, light, and the touch-sensitive area on its surface, allowing your own resistance to become part of the music and the patch.
Synterra also determines its initial position during startup by using the magnetic field of its environment as a reference. This allows the device to position itself according to its surroundings each time it is powered on and begin processing incoming signals based on this initial reference.
In addition to these features, the device offers 8 different scale options. Synterra converts signals received from living organisms or other sources into data. It then processes this data through probability and quantizer structures, creating an algorithmic arrangement that generates different notes at different times. In this way, the device establishes a generative synthesis structure within itself.
Synterra features 9 different synth presets. These presets include a variety of synthesis characters based on subtractive synthesis, wavetable, resonator, Karplus–Strong, drums, and noise.
The device can also be used practically without being connected to any living organism, as light and your own resistance can be incorporated into the circuit. In addition, a much wider variety of sensors can be added to the system through the clip cables and the additional sensor input.
Synterra can be powered by either batteries or USB. Battery operation allows you to use the device comfortably on nature walks, in outdoor spaces, and in creative environments outside the studio.
The onboard potentiometers allow you to adjust the output level of the internal sounds, as well as the amount and sensitivity values. This enables you to use the device comfortably across a broader range of applications and receive signals at more suitable levels from different living organisms or organic sources.
