Studio Electronics SE-1 Analog "MiniMoog" Synth
via this auction"Overview.
The SE-1 is an analog, monophonic synth-module designed to recreate that classic Moog sound. It creates thunderous bass, stunning leads, special FX, and everything in-between, making it perfect for Hip Hop, R&B, Pop, Electronic, DnB and Dance, as well as Jazz, Jazz Fusion, Modern Classical, and Film Scores. It also blends well with acoustic instruments, making it all the more versatile.
The classic Moog sound comes from its distinctive 24-dB low-pass, voltage-controlled analog filter. There's also a 12-dB low-/band-pass filter, which emulates the classic sounds of Oberheim synths. The SE-1 uses three, discrete voltage-controlled analog oscillators for genuine analog synth sounds. That's three VCOs -- just like the MiniMoog. They offer the basic waveforms you'd expect: triangle, sawtooth, reverse sawtooth, square, noise, and random. There are also four, multi-stage ADSR envelope generators to shape your sound, the filter, and more. Also available are ring modulation and glide/auto-glide effects.
With 24 knobs, 21 tactile switches, MIDI control over parameters, and plenty of program storage memory (396 presets and 396 user patches), the SE-1 is a professional alternative to its classic forefathers (and stays in tune better). It's used extensively by industry professionals -- including Fatboy Slim, Frontline Assembly, Eminem, Dr. Dre, David Foster, Hans Zimmer, and Stevie Wonder, to name only a very few.

Specs.
• Polyphony - Monophonic
• Oscillators - 3 analog VCO's; Waveforms: triangle, sawtooth and variable width square. Osc2&3 sync to Osc1. Noise generator.
• LFO - 3 LFO's; Waveforms: triangle, sawtooth, reverse sawtooth, square, noise, random. Controls: delay, key trigger, phase, and midi sync.
• Filter - 2 analog filters: 24db Lowpass (classic Moog), 12db Lowpass & Bandpass (classic Oberheim).
• VCA - 4 multi-stage envelope generators (ADSR). Env 1 fixed to filter frequency, Env 2 fixed to amp level, Env 3&4 are assignable
• Keyboard - None
• Memory - 4 ROM Banks (396 locations), 4 RAM Banks (396 locations)

"Close-up shot of the microkorg panel, taken with the 28-135 and showing moderate barrel distortion. This is a fabulous toy, it's very easy to program and has a quite good sound quality with decent analog feel in a compact package. The keybed feels somewhat strange and flimsy but it's playable once you get used to it."

KeyPerformer running on a V-Machine
YouTube via zioguido
"This is the VST instrument GSi KeyPerformer running on a V-Machine. The sound is directly coming from the little V (hq this time! :-))
Unfortunately the USB controller I'm using in this video has a terrible keyboard action, practically impossible to play piano sounds with the correct expression (black keys are more sensitive than white keys!), but this is just an example of a very basic configuration, all in less than 5 Kilograms!
The sample-playback section of Key Performer can play up to 56 voices in the V-Machine. If you don't need high polyphony (for example, if you don't need to play piano parts with the sustain pedal), you can even load more than one instance of the plugin and have it multi-timbral on different MIDI channels, e.g. with 2 keyboards.

You can find Star Guitar here:
Press Release
"Amidio Inc has released Star Guitar - an unique iPhone/iPod Touch application that enables the user to play automatic guitar rhythms, both strumming and picking types.
Playing guitar has never been so simple before. Star Guitar is based upon patented one-screen interface "StarChords", which allows immediate selection of 144 chords. Those chords can be strummed in a manual way (thanks to the "SmartStrumming" technology), or automatically. All sounds are generated in realtime with the new "SampleMagic" technology, which employs outstanding sound quality and realism.
Star Guitar is the ideal instument to play favorite songs, or create and record new songs on the go. Almost any song can be played with just 10-20 screen taps. There are 20 different guitar rhythm patterns (pop, reggae, jazz, ballad) in Star Guitar 1.0 and the library is easily extendable. There are 3 guitars by default (Acoustic Silver, Mellow Jazz, Electro Chorused).
Users can also utilize voice recorder and record guitar and voice simultaneously. Among the advanced features are .WAV export, built-in Wi-Fi server, direct export to Intua Beatmaker, overdub recording, loading custom loops for playing in the background, built-ib help.
Star Guitar is initially offered at $3.99. More info is available at http://amidio.com

Synth Fumbles... "Synthian Slips"
I did it again. I called and labeled the Yamaha CS01 a Casio. It's one of my most common synth fumbles. As much as I know it's a Yamaha, if I don't make the conscious association, I default to Casio. Obviously due to the look and size of the CS01. Another is the use of dashes for KORG and Yamaha in their model numbers. Yamaha does not use dashes, KORG does. It's CS01, not CS-01 and its MS-20, not MS20 for example. I know there are others, and you have caught me a number of times. I've been known to call the Micron and ION and vice versa for example. It's just the way it is... If you have any, feel free to share.

Roland Juno-106

via this auction
"Noise, filter and wave forms tested and working. All voice chips are working and have been properly calibrated. Internal battery for patch memory replaced. Original factory presets installed. Custom hardwood, japanese ash (tamo) end panels installed.
This Juno 106 has 3 of the chips replaced with 3 new clone chips produced by Jeroen Allaert (analogue renaissance)...
The Juno 106 is a great versatile polyphonic analog synth. The ease of use plus the ability to save your patches makes it a great all rounder especially for live gigs. The custom hardwood ends don't just look good, they provide added protection for the instrument. The raised height protects the sliders and front panel from damage in the event that the synth is dropped or knocked over. I can ship the original plastic ends if the buyer wants them."Factory preset sound examples on Synthmania

The Pulsar (Mini chip synth)
YouTube via StarfireMX
"So I've been busy working on this little home made synth, it's gotten to a point where it's doing enough to show you all. Here is the low down.
1. 16 step sequencer
3. LCD info screen
2. Saw and Square wave
3. Adjustable gate
4. Adjustable Tempo
5. Adjustable Tone
6. Switchable high pass and low pass filter.
Best part is I have a circuit board on it's way and it all fits on a board about 1.5 inch by 3.5 inch so very small!
Plan on adding a few more things.
1. Line out (Pretty much just a headphone out right now)
2. Saw works but a bit funky gotta fix the code.
3. Presets (I hope)
4. Indicator for what step you are on.
5. Adjustable filter
6. I have a version where you can set the gate individually for each note, but I just prefer the over all gate, might try to make it switchable but the code at the moment is glitchy.
Let me know your thoughts!!
Thanks!!!"
