Beautiful Noise When The Sun Explodes First Look w/ Synths (Moog Werkstatt-O1)

video upload by Duskmos

"In this Signal Colors: Primer, I'm taking a look at the Beautiful Noise: When The Sun Explodes, paired up w/ the Moog Werkstatt-01. A fun combo! Check out the sounds I'm getting with some great drive/distortion and spring reverb and an added trem effect."

"When The Sun Explodes is the ultimate tool for creating long ambient swells of atmospheric reverberation, to stuttering, chaotic feedback oscillations overloading your amplifier.

The core reverb emulates a classic spring tank, with a variety of controls to further shape the tone and length of the signal. The feedback footswitch engages a linear rising or LFO/tremolo controlled feedback loop, which forces the wet reverb signal back into the input creating some over-the-top noise effects, with a boost footswitch instantly doubling the amount of reverberation for an instant wave of sound. The output gain, with the additional clipping options of symmetrical, asymmetrical or no clipping selects between a range of gain shapes and amplitudes.

Plug any and all instruments into this box of utter sonic dystopia, for an endlessly reverberant, fuzzed out noise experience no effects pedal has yet to reach."

"The Special Things:
- The keybed was refurbished by Sound Doctorin in 2011. It's been flawless since.
- The MIDI input was installed and configured by Greg Klosmon in 2011, and been flawless as well. (see photo)
- I created/installed what i consider my favorite upgrade of this synth, which is it's INPUT/OUTPUT insert point for patching either A) the synth PRE effects board OUT, B) the effects section independent of synth IN, or BOTH. More about this later..
- I built a V-Trig / S-Trig converter to allow the Polysix to be able to receive all types of triggers for the arpeggiator trigger input. This is included and is a simple patch when hooking up a respective signal. (not photo'd due to max photo limit here. it's just a simple small box)
- The battery was replaced several years ago so this synth avoided all of that battery/board leak stuff.
- I changed out R98 (resistor 98) to make the LFO circuit act perfectly smooth and at factory spec. There was a minor timing issue that had developed from age but it's perfect now and will be from here on.

And the press release:

Noise Engineering announces new Legio platform including Virt Iter Legio oscillator and Librae Legio dynamics processor

Los Angeles, CA — Noise Engineering is back with two modules for a new 6HP Eurorack platform: Virt Iter Legio and Librae Legio.

Virt Iter Legio is a stereo oscillator with a distinct and versatile sound. Its three modes – Bass, SawX, and Harm – will be familiar to users of Noise Engineering’s free Virt Vereor plugin or those who have the Arturia Microfreak, both of which are based on the same algorithms.

Virt Iter Legio features independent left and right phase-modulation inputs, a sync input, and a lush vintage-inspired chorus. This small oscillator puts unique sounds right at your fingertips and makes them easy to manipulate within the stereo field. Virt Iter Legio works well for beautiful pads, hard-hitting basses, and leads that can be simple or otherworldly.

Librae Legio is a stereo dynamics processor designed for the master bus with compression, limiting, expansion, and optional saturation.

Librae Legio was designed to work with any type of patch. It’s great for limiting, compression, and expansion. Noise Engineering says they created it to be able to be applied as transparently as possible, but also so that you can crank the settings to really squish your sounds for maximal crunch. And of course they added a saturation stage that you can engage if you wish for some slight harmonic distortion: it adds a touch of color and some tape-like effects to louder elements. It’s also CV controllable and works great with mono or stereo signals.

The team had a great time testing this one on drum breaks, bass loops, hard techno, generative ambient soundscapes, and more. They also added an adjustable noise gate so that users could choose a setting to minimize noise accentuated by heavy compression in their patch. Librae Legio also has a sidechain filter that the user can set to change the behavior of the dynamics processing.

A platform a long time in the making
The Legio platform was first announced at NAMM 2020 with Virt Iter. The team mentioned that they’d heard from a lot of customers who were eager to get the module in their systems but parts shortages, supply-chain woes, and other problems meant multiple delays and redesigns of the product to make it work with available parts. The result was something even they were amazed with. In fact, while product testing is a job everyone on the team is excited about, they all agreed that they were unanimously over the moon with how these modules came out.

"The Legio platform brings the power of a reprogrammable and multifunctional module down to a 6 HP size, perfect for any system. It's an exciting development and we're thrilled to be able to share it with the world!" said Chief of Destruction Markus Cancilla.

World of Legio
Similar to the popular Versio platform, Legio is also an oscillator and DSP platform. By making a free account at the Noise Engineering Customer Portal (https://portal.noiseengineering.us/), users can change the functionality of the module, absolutely free. In essence, buy one module, get both of these, with more to come, according to the Noise Engineering team. For those who are interested in writing their own firmwares, open-source support will be released later this year. Learn more at the World of Legio page at Noise Engineering.

Rob Papen PunchBD RE Introduction

Published on Dec 18, 2013 Rob Papen·37 videos

"PunchBD-RE is a versatile and easy to use bass drum synthesizer for your Reason Rack. With PunchBD-RE you get two modelled synthesizer drum modules, a click/noise module and a sample module to help you shape the main beat for your productions. From Dance and electronic and Hip-Hop to soundtrack. PunchBD-RE has it covered."

Update: the official press release:

"Rob Papen provides perfect kicks for Reason with PunchBD-RE

ECHT, THE NETHERLANDS: virtual instrument and effects plug-in developer Rob Papen Soundware is proud to announce availability of PunchBD-RE, a versatile and easy-to-use bass drum synthesizer Rack Extension for Propellerhead Reason 6.5 (or higher), as of December 19...

When Swedish music software application, interfaces, and technology standards specialist Propellerhead Software first unveiled its revolutionary Rack Extension — an ever-expandable, freely-routable rack of instruments, effects, and sounds — for its well-received Reason music-making and recording studio software solution, namesake company founder and synthesizer developer Rob Papen promptly pronounced it as being “...a brilliant concept.” Continuing, he then summarised its advantages as follows: “What we face as a developer is having to have a PC version and a Mac version, and if you run them in your regular host, you can crash your host. That’s a real, big battle. People, if they use Reason, learn that things are connected. It’s cross-platform; everything works. It’s a major leap forward for Reason, and productions coming out of Reason will sound totally different. Reason remains Reason, but, now, it’s open.”

Open to the likes of Rob Papen to develop distinctive and desirable third-party Rack Extensions for Reason. Little wonder, then, that Rob Papen was amongst the first to do just that, starting by porting over its popular, ‘phat’-sounding soft synth Predator as Predator-RE, rapidly followed by its SubBoomBass-RE dedicated virtual bass synth and self-explanatory PR-Verb RE and PR-Distort RE virtual effects.

Now, with the timely introduction of PunchBD-RE, Rob Papen’s persuasive Rack Extension offerings are more enticing than ever before. Based upon its award-winning Punch drum synthesis/sampler software instrument’s kick-ass bass drum module, the Rack Extension version features the same high-quality algorithms attributed to Punch’s punchy sound. Saying that, other ‘models’ from Punch have been cleverly combined so users can stack them together to create hitherto unheard bass drum sounds. Take the SAMPLE module (including various samples, plus Rob Papen Library samples) and mix in a synth bass drum module, for example... what a beautiful combination!

Better still, there are actually two synth bass drum modules within PunchBD-RE: MODEL 1 and MODEL 2 are already positively powerful in their own right, but an additional CLICK/NOISE module is also available to add clicks (based on a sinus waveform) or noise. Using pink noise, this can create an awesome room sound! Stereo room/noise effects can be easily added to the bass drum sound using the SPREAD and OFFSET controls.

Similarly, the SAMPLE module not only includes sample-based bass drums, but bristles with an assortment of creative controls helpfully broken down into more manageable sections — TUNING, FILTER ENV, AMP ENV, FILTER, STEREO SWAP, and more — to help modify those samples.

All of those superlative sound sources are blended together in the MIXER, though they can first be sent to the dedicated DISTORTION module where 19 different distortion algorithms are available to treat them as appropriate. Moreover, modulation options are well catered for, courtesy of a free ENVELOPE, LFO, and all-embracing modulation matrix. Also, an analogue-modelled FILTER can capably change whatever composite sound is being routed from the MIXER.

It’s also worth noting that PunchBD-RE can play at a fixed pitch or ‘tuned’ over the complete keyboard range — a useful feature for many modern-day music stylings.

Finally, ‘flipping’ the PunchBD-RE Rack Extension around reveals a back panel packed with CV inputs and gate trigger options, separate audio outputs, and all manner of other connections for creative connectivity. Cable those kick-ass bass drum sounds to wherever you want to take them, routing-wise... within Reason! Reasons Rob Papen, positively: “I’m totally amazed that it all works.” We’re sure you will be, too!

PunchBD-RE can be purchased and directly downloaded for an introductory discounted price of €39.00 EUR/$49.00 USD (rising to €49.00 EUR/$59.00 USD on January 1, 2014) from the Propellerhead Shop here: https://shop.propellerheads.se/product/punchbdre-instrument/ (Propellerhead operates a try-before-you-buy service for those wishing to test Rack Extensions.)"

ZynAddSubFX with BOSS DD7 Looper Synthesizer Noise Ambient Jam

YouTube via sung00ku
"ZynAddSubFX is a open source software synthesizer capable of making a countless number of instruments, from some common heard from expensive hardware to interesting sounds that you'll boost to an amazing universe of sounds.

The project was started in March 2002 by Nasca Octavian Paul. He began to write ZynAddSubFX in order to create a synthesizer which could produce beautiful sounds, while being freely available to anybody who needs it.

The output of the computer goes into the BOSS DD7 Looper and then into my hifi-system.
Just a spontaneous jam! Enjoy
PS: recorded with my cellphone, sry"

http://zynaddsubfx.sourceforge.net/

"Features of ZynAddSubFX:

* Realtime synth
* Polyphonic synth (allows playing more than one note at once)
* Mutlitimbral synth (allows playing more than one instrument at once)
* Microtonal capabilities with any scale, up to 128 notes per octave, and key mapping
* Three synthesizer engines:
1. "ADsynth" or "ADnote" is a complex engine which makes sounds by adding a number of voices. Each one has filters, envelopes, LFOs, morphing, modulation (Ring Modulation, Phase Modulation... the modulators can have any shape), resonance, etc. Each voice includes a very powerful waveform generator with up to 128 sine/non-sine harmonics. You can use Fourier synthesis or if you don't like it you can wave-shaping/filtering of functions. This engine includes anti-aliasing.
2. "SUBsynth" or "SUBnote" is a simple engine which makes sounds through subtraction of harmonics from white noise
3. "PADsynth" or "PADnote" is engine that makes very beautiful pads and other instruments. (these instruments can be exported for use with other programs too)
* Legato, Poly, and Mono modes
* Instruments can be organized in kits, which allows you to make drum kits or layered(mixed) instruments; this makes possible to use more than one instrument for a single part. It is possible to choose what items from the kit should be processed by the Part's effects.
* Effects:
o Reverb, Echo, Chorus/Flange, Phaser, AlienWah (it's a kind of vocal morpher), Distortion(Wave-shaping), EQ, DynamicFilter
o The effects can behave as System Effects or as Insertion Effects; this allows to use many effects at the same time. You can put any insertion effect on any part(or more insertion effects to same parts, if you like so) or you can put the insertion effect to Master output (very useful if you use the EQ effect). Also, you can have instrument's effect (which save with the instrument).
* Filters up to 60dB/octave (or more..); filters can be analogic (LPF,HPF, BPF,etc.), formant(advanced formant filters) and state variable (SVF)
* Envelopes can have ADSR (or ASR, etc..) modes or can be free modes (with any shape)
* Many settings have a "randomness" option, which you can make instruments that every time produces a subtle different sound; this produces a very pleasant effect (like analogue synths or natural instruments that can't produces exactly same sound twice). Because of this, even if it is digital synthesis, it sounds "warm". Listen the ogg vorbis demos from this page to hear this effect.
* The specifications can be easily changed, so (for example) if you want to change the number of voices or parts to a higher value or to allow a higher number of effects at the same time, there is necessary to change only a single value from the source file (globals.h) and to recompile the program
* Intuitive and easy to use User Interface with Clipboard and many objects has user presets
* Midi support (supports many controllers) and (if you want) JACK support
* A built-in Virtual Keyboard which let you to use it even if you don't have a real midi keyboard
* The graphical user interface can be completely disabled if the user need so
* It is a free program, licensed under version 2 of the GNU General Public License
* LASH support
* DSSI audio output
* Over 300 high quality instruments included
* Many other features... It is is impossible to describe all this program's features in just a page"

Noise Engineering Introduces Lacrima Versio

via Noise Engineering

Bring guitar-inspired effects into your rack with the devil’s autowah from Noise Engineering:

Lacrima Versio firmware

Los Angeles, CA — Lacrima Versio is Noise Engineering’s take on the classic autowah, in stereo, and with a twist.

Lacrima’s roots are in analog Autowah pedals. As a fan of the wah-pedal sound, Noise Engineering’s Doer of Many Things Kris Kaiser wanted to do a NE version of a wah as part of the Ruina line of analog distortions. The team was the better part of the way through a schematic when they realized that this would fit well on the Versio platform, and changed course.

Lacrima Versio features an envelope follower that controls a high-resonance filter. Morph the filter between lowpass, bandpass, and highpass slopes, and Lacrima covers all the sounds you’d expect from a typical wah – but this is not your typical wah. Route an adjustable distortion pre, post, or pre+post

filter for some saturation crunch. Add width and motion (and just a little otherworldly tone) to your sounds with a stereo chorus. Last but not least, use the Mod parameter to add audio-rate modulation and octavizing to your signal.
Lacrima Versio is way more fully featured than the module it started as, and even better, it’s available as a free download to anyone with any Versio module at the Noise Engineering Customer Portal (https://portal.noiseengineering.us/). Beautiful panel overlays will be available soon through Noise Engineering’s collaboration with Winterbloom.

Notable features:
• Stereo autowah with unique features: for everything from classic sounds to extreme filtering
• Adjustable and routable saturation distortion
• Juno-inspired chorus
• Octavizer and audio-rate modulation
• Guitar-inspired effects take your rack into a new realm

• Free to Versio module owners
• Availability: Download at the Noise Engineering Customer Portal starting on October 14, 2021

And the full details and pics via KORG:

"16/8-voice analog sound

The prologue is a polyphonic analog synthesizer with 8 or 16 multitimbral voices. KORG’s analog synthesizer development in recent years has culminated in the prologue, which was designed using 11,000 discrete electronic components. Although the prologue is a flagship instrument, it still retains the inviting feel and accessibility of its predecessors. It features a pure analog path, impeccable sound quality, stunning presence unlike any other poly synth, and the same intuitive interface as the minilogue and monologue, granting you intuitive access to a vast world of analog synthesis.

The prologue uses a structure of 2VCO + MULTI ENGINE, 1VCF, 2EG, 1VCA, and 1LFO. In addition to distinctive, original circuitry, such as wave shaping to shape the oscillator’s overtones and a sync/ring switch, prologue also features a two-pole low pass filter with enhanced sharpness, drive that adds powerful distortion, and a low cut (high pass) switch. Every detail has been improved on from minilogue and monologue. Its sound covers every sonic possibility: fat basses, powerful leads, and the beautiful pads that you expect from a polyphonic synthesizer.

Newly developed multi-engine

The ingenuity of prologue goes beyond its analog design. The newly developed multi engine is provided as VCO3, adding digital waveforms and FM. This multi engine, which is equipped with three different sound engines, can be combined with the analog VCOs to expand prologue’s sonic potential far beyond that of a traditional analog synthesizer.
Noise generator

There are four types of noise generator, indispensable for percussive sounds or sound effects. Experience how digital filtering can produce direct changes in the color of the noise.
VPM oscillator

The VPM (Variable Phase Modulation) / FM oscillator was newly developed for prologue. Its metallic and sharp sounds with their complex overtones could never be obtained by analog means. With 16 types of oscillator and the SHAPE knob, you’ll be intuitively guided through complex sound design. Combine these wave shapes with prologue’s gorgeous analog filters, and prepare for sounds you never thought possible.
User oscillator

The user oscillator section lets you load oscillator programs of your own creation. Sixteen slots are provided, and one type of morphing wavetable oscillator is built-in as a preset.

Digital effects

The high-quality digital effects feature pristine 32-bit floating-point processing, and add a further polish to the sound of the prologue. With two effect units provided (a modulation effect and delay/reverb), you can choose from a wide variety such as chorus or ensemble, warm tape delay, or diverse reverbs. The user effect slots let you load effect programs of your own creation.

"User-customization

The prologue offers an SDK (Software Development Kit) that allows developers to program, customize and extend the capabilities of the multi-engine and digital effects and is expected to be available for download in the spring of 2018. The prologue provides 16 user oscillator slots and 16 user effect slots, and users can use the prologue Librarian software (also expected to be available for download in the spring of 2018) to load into their prologue new oscillators and effect programs created by developers with the prologue SDK (Software Development Kit).

What types of sound will you create by combining the expanded digital oscillators with analog synthesis? You can create original programs and share code to participate in the user community. Start with sample code provided by KORG. The prologue belongs to you."

Analog comp/booster

The exclusive VU meter is available only on the prologue-16, and indicates the newly developed master effect L.F. COMP. It’s a low end booster/compressor using an analog circuit, delivering a solid sense of presence that cannot be obtained from a simple EQ. You’ll particularly notice the difference in high-volume stage performances where maximum dynamics can be utilized."

New Synths in V Collection 7

Synthi V
BRITISH SILVER MACHINE

Synthi V completely captures the spirit of the unique analog synth that burst out of ‘70s London to inspire the entire emerging electronic music world—and it has new superpowers to inspire your world today.

Synthi V brings you all the experimental excitement of EMS’ legendary 3-oscillator analog synths—now infused with thoroughly modern enhancements. Venture beyond unusual lead and bass sounds to create soundscapes and sci-fi effects ranging from beautiful to bizarre and everything in between.

The British-born EMS family of synths—featuring the sonically identical Synthi AKS and VCS3—were among the first to distill modular synthesizer functionality into a more portable form. Where most competitive designs like the Minimoog sacrificed flexibility to size and simplicity, EMS retained a modular heart through the genius of one of the first matrix patchbays to grace a synth. That additional versatility led to more experimentation outside of melodic norms and into the more electronic realms of psychedelia and sci-fi effects. Cue Pink Floyd’s “On the Run” from “The Dark Side of the Moon” LP.

Synthi V is the perfect evolution of the synth that turned a lot of heads. Now you can use it to turn some heads of your own.

Main Features
A component-level model of the EMS Synthi AKS
3 oscillators with waveform mix, noise generator, 18 dB/oct resonant filter, output section with spring reverb modelling
Modular architecture, allowing to route signals in unexpected ways
Ring Modulator, loopable Envelope Shaper, 2 axis Joystick and Sample and Hold modules for advanced modulations
Original keyboard sequencer module with sync to DAW tempo
2 matrix behavior modes: modern and vintage for cross-talk simulation
5 assignable voltage functions to create multi-point envelopes and LFOs synced to DAW tempo
Advanced joystick automation module for modulating parameters in a 2D space
Matrix pin amounts modulations possibilities (with 4 independent groups)
10 effects, Reverb Phaser, Flanger, Chorus, Overdrive, Delay, ...
Up to 4 voices of polyphony
Over 250 factory presets

CZ V
PHASE DISTORTION CULT CLASSIC
The budget synth that became a legend in its own right. The instrument that brought the digital synth revolution to the masses is now at your command.

A simpler kind of powerful digital synthesis

Released in 1984, the CZ-101 was Casio’s answer to the wildly popular Yamaha DX7. It was significantly less expensive and infinitely easier to program than its rival. Instead of frequency modulation, Casio’s phase distortion (PD) used various user-selected waveforms to modulate the timing of simple carrier waves at the cycle level in order to create more complex wave shapes. This simplified form of digital synthesis made it comparatively easy to perfect a wide variety of timbres spanning warm pads, natural percussion, buzzy digitalia, sci-fi effects and even analog synths. While PD could sound similar to FM, it also had a unique sonic signature all its own.

The CZ sound helped propel artists like Salt-N-Pepa, Was (Not Was), and Vince Clarke into the spotlight. Let’s add your name to the list.

Classic Casio Phase Distorsion
+ cutting-edge Arturia modeling
= infinite sonic possibilities for you

Imagine a virtual instrument that realistically models every nuance of the CZ-101—and with four times the polyphony and zillions more presets. What if it gave you an intuitive graphic interface that unlocked of all the hidden jewels in this unique digital synth? And what if it now had additional envelopes, filters, LFOs, effects, and extensive beat-sync-to-host parameters? Oh, and what if you could interconnect all that via a new super-flexible modulation matrix? We’ve faithfully reproduced the instrument that brought ‘80s pop to new heights.

Yeah... we did that!

Main Features
Two synthesis lines and independent noise source
All CZ-101/CZ-1000 original parameters

Folktek Resonant Garden

Published on Oct 29, 2017 Sir Folktek

"The Folktek Resonant Garden is an acoustic-electronic hybrid instrument. See/read more on Folktek.com
In these first videos, the cv functions are never used and there is no external processing. Videos to come will cover the use of cv as well."

via Folktek

"The Resonant Garden is an acoustic-electronic hybrid designed to create anything from beats and oddities to dense sound scapes. From its inception in 2006, the original garden has gone through many changes and refinements; micro garden, luminist garden and illuminist garden and finally this latest and likely final version.

The garden essentially utilizes three Alter circuits but each equipped with a mic pre-amp, and 4 garden (stringed) panels for generating acoustics. By plucking, rubbing, tapping or even bowing, those micro-acoustic sounds become amplified and effected by the Alter in any number of ways. In essence, the garden is a large microphone designed to pick up vibrations."

EFFECTS
There are two Alter 1 designs and 1 Alter 2. Each Alter 1 has seven different DSP effects which is selected by touching the copper hexagon:

1; long delay (capable of near infinite feedback looping)

2; tight, notated granular delay

3; huge plate reverb

4; shimmering reverb

5; distortion and multi-filter

6; pitch delay

7; stutter glitch

Alter 2 has the following effects:

1; analog delay

2; reverb with infinite capture and lp + hp filters

3; choral reverb

4; palindrome reverse delay - backward/forward repeat

5; time stretch

6; pitch shift (notated semi-tones

7; time stretch glitch

CONTROL
On each of the Alter sections, the following is present:

- control for the gain of the mic pre-amp or any incoming audio.

- controls for mix, X, Y and filter as well as clock.

- all effects have a variation of a filter which may change effect to effect.

- X and Y control various rates.

- clock control adjusts the rate which controls the DSP which can drastically change the effect. In doing so it does slightly lower the quality of the output signal but the results are fantastic. This clock is not for synchronization.

- mix, X, Y and filter all have CV control inputs.

- Each control level or cv input is visualized on the control panel.

ACOUSTICS
Each garden panel is equipped with a contact mic. A contact mic is designed to pick up vibration. The mic pre-amp is specifically designed to deal with the frequencies of the contact mic by boosting certain frequencies and dulling others in order to optimize the sound quality. The mic pre-amp has a gain control so the level can be adjusted according to how you intend to play.

NAMM: Clavia Nord Piano

"The Nord Piano is designed with the performing musician in mind and is very lightweight at approx. 18 kg (39.6 lbs).

The Nord Piano comes equipped with several acoustic and electric pianos and harpsichords. Other pianos are available as free downloads from the Nordkeyboards.com website.

The sounds are stored in a Flash memory with a 512 MB capacity. This allows you to replace every piano if you wish and the sounds are kept intact in the memory even when the unit is turned off, no loading time is necessary. The sounds are available for free and easily exchanged by using the Nord Sound Manager application, which runs on Mac OSX, Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 computers. The Nord Sound Manager allows you to quickly organize your programs according to your needs and allows you to create backups of the entire content in your Nord Piano.

String Resonance
One of the Nord missions is to deliver more, in every aspect. Using the Nord Resonance Ready pianos (e.g. the R-labeled Grand’s and Upright’s), you can activate the Resonance feature on the panel, which will add this acoustic phenomenon to the Nord sound. The Nord crew has gone to great lengths to ensure an accurate reproduction of the acoustic resonance, using the actual sound of the source instrument in an extremely realistic way.

Nord Piano Pedal with extended functionality
The Nord Piano can use the new Nord Piano pedal, providing the functionality of all the three pedals found on an acoustic grand piano. The Nord Piano pedal functionality have been closely modeled to allow you to “play the pedal” in the same fashion as on an acoustic grand.

The soft pedal (also known as the una corda) makes the sound significantly softer. The sostenuto pedal in the middle provides the latching sustain functionality that sustains only held notes, when activated. When you activate the sustain pedal, you can hear pedal noise and the dampers being lifted from the strings. The force with which you operate the pedal will influence the levels of the components and you can even add percussive sounds from the mechanism by just striking the pedal itself. With the Nord Piano pedal (or a continuous sustain pedal from another manufacturer) you can also use half-pedaling and other techniques like “catching” released keys with the pedal, a unique feature on the Nord Piano.

Effects, EQ and Amps
Dial in your preferred sound with the effects and the powerful three-band equalizer with sweep-able mid, and save the settings with a quick double tap on the Store button. The effects in the Nord Piano are just as detailed as the piano sounds them selves. The tremolo adds that perfect vibe, the pan sweeps across the stereo panorama, and the auto-wah brings out the funk in you, like never before.

Whenever you want to spice up a sound with a beautiful phaser, a screaming flanger, a lush chorus, these are readily available. These modulation effects are modeled from a couple of highly desirable vintage effects.

The Nord Piano Speaker models faithfully reproduces the overdrive response of different amplifier/cabinet combinations, lending your sound that authentic feel. Select the desired speaker model – Small, JC or Twin – and use the Drive knob to add powerful tube amplifier distortion to your piano sound. Even the slightest amount will make a big difference to the sonic character."

First look at iPad app Deregulator - using Thumbjam

Published on Jun 9, 2014 phillwilson·178 videos

"This is my first go on deregulator the new iPad app by Ashshaosh Daa. The app is a delay/echo/reverb combo but with a twist...all components can be randomized to alter each/any setting over time.

the concept is very simple but in use it is a great way of creating mangled textures that recycle what you put in and spitit back out at you in new in interesting ways."

iTunes: deregulator - Savelii Kaliupanov | ThumbJam - Sonosaurus LLC

"Deregulator it’s a mini-processor of stereo effects with Echo, Delay and Reverberator. Input signal goes to echo and delay simultaneously. Then delayed and echoed signal lands into reverberator. All parameters of this effects may be randomised at once and some key parameters can be randomised dynamically all time. On output we have wide effects range from simple mono echo/delay/reverb and combinations to near granulation live when remains of sounds create nebula around original input and like morning mist its blurring and smudging sound into scape of something new, vibrant and beautiful (degree of beautifulness depends on what you feed in D).
Delay just repeat sound pieces and size of every piece can be randomised, this chop and remix original sound into sometimes very glitchy, something new. Echo behaves like a usual echo unless you start randomising delay and feedback parameters. Reverb have three parameters, room size, damping and wetness of output. Off course all of them are randomisible. Randomising its a root of conception in this little app.
How it sounds like? Lets walk together to the border that splits effects from synthesisers where only granular with live input lives and question this line, she is exist? You must play with it or go to soundcloud(tag deregulator) for examples.

Go to look at instruction and detailed description on ckek.ru

Feature list:
+ Three linked effect module (Echo, Delay and Reverb)
+ Randomisers for every parameters of this effects
+ Ability to randomise all parameters at once
+ Recording of affected audio to wav
+ Share files to iTunes, AudioCopy 2, AudioShare
+ Audiobus of course
+ 25 non-factory presets slots
+ Stereo/mono

Coming soon:
+ Universal app(Yeah, download once and run everywhere)
+ Audiobus 2 and all slots
+ IAA

Tested on iPhone 4s(iOS 6&7), iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, iPad 2, iPad New and iPod touch 4. And i don’t recommend run this app on something lower then 4s. On iPod4 lag is too big, Deregulator need ~100mb ram and more power in heart. iPhone 4s/iPod5 is recommended as low line to work comfortably.

Have fun and make some noise %)"
